Let It Out - Sarah Jakes Roberts
Sarah Jakes Roberts, 2026-10-04 · Scripture reading

… So the lame man gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. Then Peter said, silver and gold, what you're looking for, I do not have. But what I do have, I give you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up. feet and ankle bones receive strength. Lord, I'm asking that the same grace, same anointing, same power that rose Jesus from the grave that resided in Peter himself when he reached for that lame man would become evident in this room today. And God, I thank you for the spirit of wisdom of prophecy of revelation that you would strengthen me and help me to see clearly the assignment that is at hand. I thank you for these, your sons and daughters, only you know what they need. And so God, I pray that you would fill me with your spirit, that you may minister to them intimately, that they would have an encounter with you that radically changes their focus, strengthens them where they are weak, and releases them to go do the same with another brethren. …

May 26, 2026: An Army Bold
Alistair Begg, 2026-05-26

… him, look at us. And he did. And I said to him, you know, what you are hoping for, I cannot give you. But I want to give you something far greater. In fact, I said to him, silver and gold have I none, but what I have, I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I said, rise up and walk. and taking him by the use of my right hand, I lifted him up. I was amazed because he didn't just stagger to his feet and try baby steps. He started leaping and jumping and praising God. And he joined John and myself in going into the temple. Quite an encounter at a prayer meeting, I think you would agree. to have this man of all people jumping and leaping around. The reaction, of course, by the crowd was astonishment. They were amazed. They knew this man. They saw him there on a daily basis, but they'd never seen anything like this before. And so I couldn't let the opportunity to go. And so I said to them, first of all, I actually said, why are you staring at us? …

… give me and he says silver and gold have I none but such as I have I give it to you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk And here's my point. Had the man not kept showing up daily, you never know what day is the tipping point for your family. A day can change decades. One day, one day, one day, one. you may be one hallelujah short of the heavens breaking open and the beam of God's light coming to the darkest area of your life. I close with this. and they'll come in a moment. but I read when I was writing the book, The Power of Short Prayers. I read again the story. of Adam and Eve. And I saw something I had not seen. Adam and Eve were in the garden and every day at the scripture said, I think it's Genesis 2 or 3, in the cool of the day. Thank you. These guys are amazing. They heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day. …

Care Sacrificially – Part 1
David Platt, 2026-02-04

… Three effects of when we care sacrificially like Peter and John have done in Acts 3, verse 1-10. See what happens. First of all, verse 11, the crowd was attracted together. All these people come running to see what has happened. They come running to these people called Christians to say, what's the deal? What's going on here? because they had seen the care of Christ in Peter and John and what had happened, this wonder, it drew a crowd there. I want you to think of the implications there for our culture today. How many people that are hardened toward the Gospel, how many people that in our lives, here even in Birmingham but other places in the United States as well as around the world, who want nothing to do with the Gospel, that their hearts would be softened if they only saw an expression of the grace and love and mercy of Christ in a sacrificial care that goes completely counter-cultural in reaching out to them. It's amazing what happens when sacrificial care begins to be expressed. …

… You need to know what you do have and what you don't have. Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have, give I unto thee. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk. See, he said, I don't have any money on me, but I do have some power. And he said, in the name of Jesus Christ, rise up and walk. He had to know that he had the power. And the enemy's job is to try to make you not know that you got what you got. Because the only thing you have to give an account for is what you've got. You don't have to give an account for somebody else's gift. That wouldn't be fair. If God said to me, I want you to sing like Donnie McClurkin, you didn't sing like Donnie McClurkin, I ain't fair, you didn't give me that. Okay, so I can't sing like Donnie because you didn't give me that. So I don't have to give an account for that. …

God Will Work It In!
Steven Furtick, 2024-10-28

… you can't work around. And in Oakland, something happened. I was in the middle of my sermon. I was preaching on Acts chapter three, verses one through 10. The message was called surprise. And I was talking about Peter and John at the gate called beautiful. And a man showed up and he wasn't expecting to get healed, and they weren't expecting to be healers, but surprise. Right when I'm revving up, I've gotten my background covered, all the lights in the whole arena go out. Not gradually, not dimmed. Out. I'm thinking, huh, that's weird. They'll come back on in a minute. Six minutes and 45 seconds. No, I'm not exaggerating. It felt like six years. It felt like six years, because all the lights go out. The first thing I think the whole audience thought was, oh, this is a part of his sermon. So I tell them real quickly, I'm like, this is not a part of my sermon. I'm standing up there. Ten seconds goes by. …

… Acts chapter 3, verse 1 through 8, and they laid me there every day around the time of prayer, and the Jews would pray at 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. and 3 p.m., and at this point, One day I met some preachers that were headed to the gate. Headed to the gate, but also headed through the gate. And I believe their names were Peter and John. But I'm so happy because this morning, God has changed my life. And I'm jumping and I'm happy. And I'm like some of y'all. You didn't need any music today. You were your own music. You really didn't know what was going to happen when you got in here. You're just so glad that God got you in here that you're going to let the redeemed of the Lord say so. And then some folk got the nerve to ask, does it take all of that? If you didn't pick me up, you can't shut me up. If you don't know my full story, stop hating on my glory. …
