… Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, but whom God raised up from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. Jesus is the stone you builders rejected, which has now become the cornerstone. And then here it is. No longer confused, but convinced. Salvation is found in no one else. For there is no other name under heaven given to mankind, which men must be saved. bold, authoritative, preaching the gospel, not wrestling in doubt, but compelled by the love of Christ that he saw on the cross and in the empty tomb and now convinced that he needed to tell the world about Jesus. Preaches sermons. People get saved. the church is born, the church expands. And this is what's God's call on our lives to be worshipful and to be missional because we have a message.
In the New Testament, it talks about another stone. In Acts chapter 4 and verse 11, it says that He has set it not. The stone rejected by the builders has become the chief cornerstone. And then it goes on to say, neither is there salvation in any other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. Jesus, I don't pray to Ebenezer stones. I have Jesus and he is my Ebenezer. Under the new covenant, I just remember the blood of the lamb and the word of my testimony in that rock solid foundation that I built my life on. Is up to this moment, the Lord has helped me. Ephesians 2 and 19 puts it like this. It says that we are built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. Ephesians 2, 19 and 20. Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. Isn't that beautiful? Tell somebody I've got a stone of help. Jesus Christ. You see, we too have a place where our sins had caused us to see the glory of God depart from our life. …

And they're preaching with this kind of boldness, this kind of conviction, this kind of courage. And when they saw, next verse, the courage of Peter and John and realized they were unschooled and ordinary men, they were astonished. This word astonished comes out of the root word of wonder. They were filled with wonder. …
