The Breaking Before the Blessing - Touré Roberts
Touré Roberts, 2026-08-16 · Scripture reading

… and let's look at it really quickly he says in verse 2 he says and you shall remember the lord you shall remember that the lord your god led you all the way these 40 years in the wilderness but watch this so that was the what but here he gives the why to humble you and to test you to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments and know. That is the statement right there. He tells them. He reveals to them. And if he reveals it to them later, that meant that there was some sort of profit in him not showing it to them while they were in it. Oh, we're going to have a good time today. And for us, it speaks to how sometimes there are things happening, perhaps in your life right now that what you can't see is God doing something behind the scenes and it may not make sense now but there will come a time in your life where it will track with me and so so you know people ask me sometimes they say you know if you had to tell your your younger self one thing there's one thing you'd have to tell your younger self or if you had to tell the younger generation, if there's this one tip you would give them, one thing you would want them to understand, what is it? …

In Ezekiel 28 verses 15 and 17, God explains why it is that Lucifer fell away from God. He said, you were blameless in your ways from the day you were created, underline that word created, until unrighteousness was found in you. What is that unrighteousness? Look at verse 17. …

Zach Fulginiti, 2026-07-13

… rules and the statute which I command you today. Lest when you have eaten and are full and have build good houses and live in them. And when your herds and flocks multiply and your silver and gold is multiplied and all that you have is multiplied, then your heart will be lifted up and you forget the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, who led you through great and terrifying wilderness with its fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty ground where there was no water, who brought you water out of the flinty rock, who fed you in the wilderness with manna that your fathers did not know that he might humble you and test you to do good in the end. Beware lest you say in your heart, my power and the might of my hand have gotten me this well. You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers as it is this day. Notice three things, that the people of God were warned of forgetting the commandment, of forgetting the Lord's provision, and of forgetting what God had done for them. We tend to say and we tend to think that if we saw something miraculous, some kind of divine intervention, I could never forget that. …
