He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men, yet they cannot fathom the work that God has done from beginning to end.He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in their hearts, yet so that man can’t find out the work that God has done from the beginning even to the end.He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.He hath made everything beautiful in its time: also he hath set eternity in their heart, yet so that man cannot find out the work that God hath done from the beginning even to the end.

… yet so that he cannot, cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. In other words, there are some things you will not understand until you have the perspective of eternity. Is that so hard to believe? I mean, ask yourself, how many of you, how many of you right now can look back at some season of your life where you really wanted God to do something. You were praying for him to change something in your life and you prayed and it seemed right and you were sure of it and your friends were praying, but God didn't change it. And at the time you just could not understand it. But now, now in your, your older age, from a wiser perspective, now you're actually grateful that he didn't change that thing you wanted him to change because now you can see the good that he produced in you through it. Raise your hands if you have at least one of those in your life right now. Y'all, both hands of mine are raised because I got a bazillion of those things. …
… And yes, that is a book in the Bible. Ecclesiastes chapter 3, verses 1 through 15 is where we're going to be studying tonight with a message entitled, All in Good Time. All in good time. Now for many of us, we have both heard these words spoken and probably repeated them ourselves. To the little kid who wants it to be Christmas already, to the teenager who wants to drive so badly to the engaged couple anticipating their long-awaited wedding day, we would say, well, all in good time. But is it true, all in good time? Will you and I get everything we desire in good time? Do good things come to those who wait? Well, possibly, but certainly not always. I would suppose it's really dependent on one major factor, and it would be how you and I would define the word good. And rather, who would define what is good? If God, who is the source of all goodness, as the Bible tells us, is the one to define what is good, then the answer to the statement, all in good time, is absolutely yes. …
… your direction. Write that down. Number two, you got to understand this about life. The problem isn't desire. It is direction. Look at Ecclesiastes 311. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart. He has set inside of every one of us a God-sized hole that can only be met by the Father's love. Your problem is not your desire. Your problem is your direction. You're looking for love in all the wrong places. And I'm telling you, you might get that love, but it's not going to fill that void. you can get that that that girlfriend or boyfriend or you can get that relationship but only God can fill this void it's not your desire that's off it's your direction you're going so much of life is going in the right direction I am going to live for God I am going to do things God's way I am going to be connected in community I am going to be planted in the house of God. I am going to do things to the best of my ability. Come on, everybody. …
… for a place that you were made for a place where you belong that's not psychological it's not emotional that's spiritual it's God so here's what the Bible says in Ecclesiastes chapter 3 verse 11, it says, he has also set eternity in the human heart. God hardwired your eternity. He hardwired your DNA for a longing of eternity. He stamped your soul with this homing beacon pointed toward heaven. And no matter how high you climb or how far you run or no matter what you chase after, your heart is always going to point towards home. These past few weeks, Pastor Ed has been talking to us about heaven, and we've learned and discovered that heaven is a real place. It's not some fictitious fairy tale place, but it's an actual place with real people made by a real savior. We've learned that we're not going to be sitting on clouds with harps and halos, singing all day, but we're going to have an occupation. We're going to be doing activities. …
… Why do we like movies, you know, and all those things that have a good ending were made for more than this? Ecclesiastes chapter 3 verse 11 says, he being God has set eternity in the human heart. God has just set us up, hasn't he, for success. We have this eternal longing in our lives. Hebrews chapter 11 says this, all these people were still living by faith. And he's talking about the hall of faith there. All the great matriarchs and patriarchs, they were all living the life when they died. Therefore, God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has, say it with me, prepared a city for them. I want you to consider this, guys. Jesus has been comparing, has been preparing a city for you and me for over 2,000 years. So heaven help us. How can heaven help us? I want to talk about five ways quickly that heaven can help us because we need to understand just kind of a general view of heaven. We need to kind of do a flyover to really download this amazing data that matters given to us by the word of God. I want you to notice, first of all, the location of heaven. Where in the heck is heaven? Where is it? Now, when the Bible uses the word or the term heaven, it refers to three different places, but one destination. …
