Get Your Heart Happy in God
Scott Hubbard, 2026-05-23

… And he gets to verse eight. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. and instead of going on to verse nine, this is what happens. I meditated on his unchangeable love, power, and wisdom while I prayed about my present spiritual and temporal circumstances. Suddenly, the present need of the orphan houses was brought to my mind. I said to myself, Jesus, in his love and power, has supplied me with what I have needed for the orphans. In the same unchangeable love and power, he will provide me with what I need for the future. Joy flooded my soul when I realized the unchangeableness of our mighty Lord. in the face of impossible pressures George Mueller rested his soul on the character of this God this Jesus revealed through this Bible and so often seen in new fresh needed ways through the slow prayerful work of meditation and brothers the same Jesus of love and power is with you in your family troubles and soul troubles and church troubles fully able to meet every need that you carried in here, fully willing in ways beyond what you can ask or imagine, even if it looks different from what you expect. …

Pastor Scott Thomas, 2026-02-22

… He's going to be faithful and lead you in that. The Bible says in Hebrews chapter 13, verse 8, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The same God who answered Elijah's 63-word prayer is the same one listening to your 3 a.m. cry. The same God. The same God who walked the three Hebrew boys through the fiery furnace is the same one who's gonna walk you through the diagnosis that you just got. God's gonna be faithful. He's by your side. The same God who turned a Happy Meal into a buffet is the same one who's gonna get you through this famine that you're walking through in your business. He sees, he knows, he's able. He's just saying, would you please call on me and invite me back out on the stage of your life? See, there's nothing about your struggle that shocks or worries God. He's got you, boo. Everything is going to be good. In other words, God is not Googling your situation to figure out what to do. …

… remember your leaders you might circle it there leaders who spoke the word of God to you consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever so there's verse 7 remember your leaders verse 17 obey your leaders circle it there and then you get to the end of the chapter verse 24 greet all your leaders so you've got this picture Remembering leaders, greeting leaders, obeying leaders, submitting to leaders. These are strong words. And let's just go ahead and get this out on the table. This word submit is probably not the most comfortable word for all of us. When we hear the word submit, all kinds of images come into our mind, especially when it comes to submission to leadership in the church. Because the reality is across this room, I know that there are a variety of different experiences that you have had when it comes to leaders in the church. So you have had very positive experiences with leadership in the church. …

The Stuttering Man of Destiny
Dr. Oswald Hoffmann, 2025-08-16

… We're able to see refracted through their failings, through their stories, their own foibles and sins, a Savior who is the same from age to age, Jesus Christ, who is the same yesterday and today and forever. That's the hope that we cling to. That's the promise that we hold fast in. Amen. Lord, keep us steadfast in your word Curb those who by deceit our sword Would bless the kingdom for your Son And bring to naught all he has done Lord Jesus Christ, your power make known For you are Lord of lords alone Defend your holy church that we May sing your praise triumphantly O Comforter of priceless worth Send peace and unity on earth Support us in our final strife And lead us out of death to life A hymn of Martin Luther Music courtesy of the hymnal project of the Michigan District, the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod Taught by Jesus and trusting in His promises, we are bold to pray.

… See the correspondence. Hebrews 13, verse 8, Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever. Both are unchanging. Both the written Word and the living Word are light for a dark world. Psalm 119, verse 105, Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. John 8, verse 12, Jesus said, I am the light of the world. Both the living Word and the written Word are light. Both the living Word and the written Word are absolute truth. John chapter 7, verse 17, Jesus speaking to the Father said, Thy word is truth. That settles it, folks. Jesus said it. But then Jesus himself said in John 14, 6, I am the truth. The living word and the written word. There are those people who try to tell us, well, you know, the Bible, my goodness, that was written by men, so we would expect to find some error in it because it was written by men. It was, men were the human instruments that brought the Bible. …
