1Therefore, holy brothers, who share in the heavenly calling, set your focus on Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess. Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession: Jesus,Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, even Jesus;2He was faithful to the One who appointed Him, just as Moses was faithful in all God’s house.who was faithful to him who appointed him, as also Moses was in all his house.Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also was Moses in all his house.3For Jesus has been counted worthy of greater glory than Moses, just as the builder of a house has greater honor than the house itself. For he has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, because he who built the house has more honor than the house. For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. For he hath been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by so much as he that built the house hath more honor than the house.4And every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. For every house is built by someone; but he who built all things is God.For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.For every house is builded by some one; but he that built all things is God.5Now Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house, testifying to what would be spoken later.Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken,And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken;6But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are His house, if we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope of which we boast.but Christ is faithful as a Son over his house. We are his house, if we hold fast our confidence and the glorying of our hope firm to the end.But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.but Christ as a son, over his house; whose house are we, if we hold fast our boldness and the glorying of our hope firm unto the end.7Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you hear His voice,Therefore, even as the Holy Spirit says, “Today if you will hear his voice,Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,Wherefore, even as the Holy Spirit saith, To-day if ye shall hear his voice,8do not harden your hearts, as you did in the rebellion, in the day of testing in the wilderness, don’t harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of the trial in the wilderness,Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, Like as in the day of the trial in the wilderness,9where your fathers tested and tried Me, and for forty years saw My works.where your fathers tested me and tried me, and saw my deeds for forty years. When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.Where your fathers tried me by proving me, And saw my works forty years.10Therefore I was angry with that generation, and I said, ‘Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known My ways.’Therefore I was displeased with that generation, and said, ‘They always err in their heart, but they didn’t know my ways.’Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.Wherefore I was displeased with this generation, And said, They do always err in their heart: But they did not know my ways;11So I swore on oath in My anger, ‘They shall never enter My rest.’”As I swore in my wrath, ‘They will not enter into my rest.’”So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)As I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.12See to it, brothers, that none of you has a wicked heart of unbelief that turns away from the living God.Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there might be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God;Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.Take heed, brethren, lest haply there shall be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God:13But exhort one another daily, as long as it is called today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called “today”, lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called To-day; lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin:14We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly to the end the assurance we had at first. For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence firm to the end,For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;for we are become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our confidence firm unto the end:15As it has been said: “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts, as you did in the rebellion.”while it is said, “Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.”While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.while it is said, To-day if ye shall hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.16For who were the ones who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt? For who, when they heard, rebelled? Wasn’t it all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses? For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. For who, when they heard, did provoke? nay, did not all they that came out of Egypt by Moses?17And with whom was God angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness? With whom was he displeased forty years? Wasn’t it with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness? But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? And with whom was he displeased forty years? was it not with them that sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?18And to whom did He swear that they would never enter His rest? Was it not to those who disobeyed? To whom did he swear that they wouldn’t enter into his rest, but to those who were disobedient? And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that were disobedient?19So we see that it was because of their unbelief that they were unable to enter. We see that they weren’t able to enter in because of unbelief. So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. And we see that they were not able to enter in because of unbelief.
