Therefore He is able to save completely those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to intercede for them. Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them.Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.Wherefore also he is able to save to the uttermost them that draw near unto God through him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Slaying the Great Red Dragon
Robert Jeffress, 2026-08-13

… what he's doing right now. The throwdown hasn't happened yet. This is still future right now. he is in heaven. But fortunately, Satan isn't the only one in heaven. Hebrews 7.25 says, we have an advocate who makes intercession for us day and night. In 1 John 2.1, John says, brethren, I've written these things to you so that you may not sin. But if you do sin, you have an advocate, a lawyer in heaven who is Jesus Christ, the righteous. Aren't you glad we've got an advocate in heaven for us. That's who we have, Jesus Christ the Lord. He accuses them before God day and night. Thank God he has been thrown down. Verse 11, and they, that is the tribulation saints, overcame him because of the blood of the lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death. Lord, if everything else goes away, if everything else is sifted, don't let this trial take my faith. Because if my faith doesn't fail, I can make it. If my faith doesn't fail, I can come back from this. If my faith doesn't fail, I can get resourceful. If my faith doesn't fail, I can reach out. If my faith doesn't fail, I can pivot. Just like the Savior prayed for Peter, we want to right now pray for you. Those of you who are Simon, Simon. …

… And the Bible says that he ever lives to make intercession for us. Hebrews 7 verse 25. Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him. Seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. Did you come to God by Jesus? Then you're on his prayer list. And what is he doing? The finished work of Jesus is Calvary. The unfinished work of Jesus is his prayer ministry. Listen, I am governed by his providence. I am growing by his plan. I am graced by his prayers. He was praying for them in the midst of their storm. Do you have any reason to doubt that he is praying for you in the midst of your storm? How would you feel if you knew while you're in your bedroom that right out there in your living room, Jesus was on his knees praying for you? Is it any less real that you're in the boat and he's on the shore? Are you here on this earth and he's in the glory praying for you? …
