Then they sat on the ground with him for seven days and seven nights, but no one spoke a word to him because they saw how intense his suffering was.So they sat down with him on the ground seven days and seven nights, and no one spoke a word to him, for they saw that his grief was very great. So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great. So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great.

Why Can't We Be Friends
Levi Lusko, 2026-08-10

… This is what the Bible calls bearing one another's burdens and so fulfilling the law of Christ. I think about how Job chapter 2 verse 13 tells us that when Job's whole life fell apart overnight, lost his children, his net worth decimated, his health, his friends came to him and sat with him in silence for seven days. then they started talking and you know we could we could say say less right because they didn't have much to have but I love that they just knew to just sit with him for a week just to sit with them when my daughter died back in 2012 we had friends who would just come and sit there not need to say anything not trying to do anything just to be there with us and their presence spoke volumes. Job 1-2
Skip Heitzig, 2026-08-05

… And each of them tore his robe, and they threw dust over their heads toward the sky. Then they sat down on the ground with him for seven days and seven nights, with no one speaking a word to him. for they saw that his pain was very great. bow with me please our father we place ourselves before the the true the inspired the preserved the recorded word of God it is a comfort to know that none of the words need to be adjusted to fit in some way are times for they are for our times. Whatever has been written in earlier times was written for our learning that we through patience and comfort from the very scriptures might have hope. there's no way I could know the condition of each person here today. Some are, though dressed for church and sitting among us, are in enormous anguish of soul. For whatever reason, others are in deep pain, some physical, some emotional, some over conflicts at home, others at work, some without jobs, others without a friend. …
