The One Who Turned Back
Pastor JeVon D. Moore, 2026-09-20 · Scripture reading

seats in the presence of the lord our god god bless you pastor wilson you all i realized something that many of us would only admit in private, that nobody thanks the roots. Some time ago, my wife and I had traveled to Puerto Rico, and while there, we climbed this mountain. This wasn't a climb where you would just take a picture and be like, I'm doing this for the ground. But no, this was an honest and a difficult climb. It was a narrow pathway, uneven footing. The air grew thin and it reminded me that I was not in charge of my own breath at that time. And what arrested me was not necessarily the height of the mountain, but it was what I, as I looked across and I saw the beauty of these trees and what caught my attention about the trees were not the height of the trees, but rather it was the roots. Ralph Douglas West, 2026-05-16 · Scripture reading

But if you don't tell children of its enormity, they can do it. And so the images came in, the sketches that these children worked at in their Sunday school class came in. One fabulous painting was of chocolates. They were thankful for chocolates. Well, I mean, I know that you don't eat chocolate, but chocolate lovers, they're thankful for chocolate. …

There’s Nothing Better than Jesus
Louie Giglio, 2025-08-03 · Scripture reading

… And when you get new fingers and toes and ears, you're not a quiet praiser. he threw himself at Jesus feet and thanked him and he was a Samaritan so that you talk about people who hated each other the Jews Jesus people and the Samaritans did not like each other at all and this one guy that came back was one of them but his encounter with Jesus overwhelmed and trumped his ethnic tension and he came back and he said him that guy right there And Jesus asked, were not all 10 cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner? And then Jesus said to him, rise and go, your faith has made you well. this guy got it. He realized it wasn't only about what Jesus could do for him. It was about Jesus. He realized there's nothing better than Jesus. And he's like, getting healed, phenomenal. I'm thrilled. But that guy did it. and I pray as we close today and come back around this that that will be the story of our house at Passion City Church and ultimately maybe the story of the church God willing in America that it is not just about the fact that a hundred percent of the people got saved but that a hundred percent of the people go it's not just what he did for me it's who he is and there's nothing better than Jesus. …
