… have anything to eat? He's there in the room with the disciples and he asked for food. And they bring him a piece of broiled fish. And it's fascinating because in Luke 24, 42, it says, they gave him a piece of broiled fish and he ate it as they watched. They're like, wait, is this real? Is he really here? Is this really Jesus? I'm, you know, is, are we going to see the fish? Is he translucent? What's going on here? He was in his risen body, which was similar to his other body. It was the same Jesus. On another occasion he said, it's I, not someone else. Says me, guys. He still had the marks of the crucifixion, which he will also have in heaven, by the way. … As a matter of fact, this Egyptian, matter of fact, we find this out in a few minutes, a little bit later. Matter of fact, as a matter of fact, they gave him a piece, verse 12, and they gave him a piece of cake of figs and two clusters of raisins. So when he had eaten, his strength came back to him for he had eaten no bread nor drunk water for three days and three nights. The man was about to die and they showed him kindness. But he was a part of the army of the people who invaded Ziklag zigzag and burned it down and took the sons and daughters and the wives of David. And yet they show him kindness. Some of the people you need to be the kindest to are the people who might be the meanest, who may have hurt you, done you harm, ruined your reputation, got you fired. You don't treat people the way they treat you. That's the sign that you are a child of the Most High God when you can love people that you know have treated you wrong. …
