Therefore I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven, for she has loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little.”Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But one to whom little is forgiven, loves little.”Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

Taken For Granted
Jamal Bryant, 2026-08-23

truth be told sometimes people cannot see your kindness because they start to expect it and they feel entitled to it i was in luke 7 verse 47 and jesus is uh at a dinner party and a woman slips in who was not on the invite list. She pulls out of her dress an alabaster box, breaks it and starts cleaning Jesus' feet. And all other stuck up saints and members and elders and deacons said that this is a waste of money. But the Savior said, the one who has been forgiven a little loves a little. But those who have been through a lot know how to thank me a lot. I can tell those of y'all who ain't been through too much because you're sitting in here with your arms folded and your legs crossed. It's only because you've been through a little. But those of us that've been through a lot know when I think of the goodness of Jesus and come on, you ain't been through nothing. …

The Children Yet Unborn
David Platt, 2026-07-08

… But don't let pain from sin in the past then rob you of peace in the present. No, Luke chapter 7, verse 47 through 50. When Jesus speaks to a woman who had lived a sexually immoral lifestyle, He says to her, your sins are forgiven. Your faith has saved you. Now go in peace. Oh, hear this. God desires His peace to be your possession. He forgives entirely. He heals deeply. He restores completely. Oh, hear this. In Christ, in Christ, you are not guilty anymore. Romans 8.1 There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. To every woman in this room who has had an abortion, you do not wear scarlet letter A on your shirt everywhere you go. When you're in Christ the Father on high God on high does not look at you and see the guilt of your abortion anymore. He looks on you and He sees the very righteousness of Jesus Christ himself. You're robed, you're clothed in his righteousness, whether you've had one abortion or five abortions, whether you have performed hundreds of abortions or legally made possible thousands, even millions of abortions. You turn trust in Christ to save you, forgive you, heal you, restore you, then you are not guilty anymore. …

Love and Life Change - Ben Stuart
Ben Stuart, 2026-01-05 · Scripture reading

… You gave me no kiss, but from the time I came in, she has not ceased to kiss my feet. You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment. Therefore, I tell you her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little loves little. And he said to her, your sins are forgiven. Then those who were at table with him began to say among themselves, who is this who even forgives sins? And he said to the woman, your faith has saved you. Go in peace. Well, Father, I pray that as we begin this new year, you would help us understand what this means. So God, quicken our minds that we can understand your thoughts and think them after you. And then God, I just pray also that you would move our hearts, that we would feel what you want us to feel, that our hearts would beat in rhythm with yours. And then God, I pray our lives would change as a result of this. God, I want people to walk out different than when they came in. That as Jesus said to this woman, that we would go with a peace maybe we don't possess now. And I can't generate that. So we're asking for help. …

Destroying Consumer Christianity
Francis Chan, 2017-12-24

… Therefore I tell you her sins which are many are forgiven for she loved much but he who is forgiven loves little. And he said to her your sins are forgiven. And that's always been like one of the most beautiful pictures of worship to me, you know, because we live in a time where everyone's like so reserved, at least in our country, and especially in evangelical churches, like we're just so self-aware. Like, how do I look right now? who's looking at me? Am I making a fool of myself? And I love that picture because this woman, she just comes into the room and she had her gift and she didn't care that all these religious leaders were here and all these who's who's. She came for Jesus. Then she falls at his feet and she's just crying. She's just crying. She's just sobbing. I mean, she's making a scene, but she's not trying to. She just can't control herself. She just runs and falls at his feet and starts crying. …
