Sermons on Proverbs 29:18

Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint; but blessed is he who keeps the Law.Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but one who keeps the law is blessed.Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint; But he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

… and God said would you close your eyes and get in my presence and let me give you a vision and this is why vision is so important look at Proverbs 29 18 it's been kind of our anchor scripture through this whole recalculating series if people can't see what God is doing they stumble all over themselves that's what some of y'all came in for right there past 15 years of your life has been stumbling because you ain't got a vision and you stumble all over yourself when you don't see what God is doing. It says, but when they attend or they participate in, or they pay attention to what God reveals, they are most, everybody say blessed. That's what God wants for every person's life is for you to be most blessed. But being most blessed is attached to a clear vision. And so if you're in debt right now, it's okay. Close your eyes and get a clear vision of you paying off your student loan like some of the some people can't even clap for it they're just like you don't know how much i owe pastor you have no idea i'm gonna be paying that until my kids kids but you will if you don't get a vision and and so i want to bring clearly to you the vision of transformation church and kind of what I really believe that God is doing in this place. And we've been talking about how God is recalculating us. Some of you know that 10 months ago, our church was a family church. It was a very …

… And this series is going to be sort of a revision because God has done so much and we need to see the vision clearly. And there's a reason for that. Look at Proverbs 29 verse 18. And I'm going to read it out of the message version. But it says, if people can't see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves but when they attend to what he reveals they are most blessed this is my prayer for every person that calls transformation church their home and anybody watching that has a church home that you would get the vision because when you get the vision of a church when you get the vision of your family when you get the vision of your business when you get the vision of your marriage what ends up happening is God's able to do three things You got to see what God is doing. You have to take part in what God is doing and then you will be most blessed. …

Vision Release (Part 1)
Michael Todd, 2026-09-21

… this year so this is why we pray this is why i do a vision series and today i want to tell you why vision is so such a big deal to me. Go to Proverbs 29 verse 18. And I'm going to read this out of the message version. But it says, if people can't see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves. So a lot of your trip in last year was because you didn't see what God was doing. You were watching what you planned to do, but you did not attend to what God was doing. But it says, But when they attend, when they pay attention, when they participate in what he reveals, they are most blessed. And so you have an assignment this year as we start in this vision series. Number one thing you need to do for your life is you need to see what God is doing. What is he doing? What is he trying to put the magnifying glass on? …

Recalculating (Part 2)
Michael Todd, 2026-09-17

… because vision is a big deal. proverbs 29 18 i want you to write this down and i need you to apply it to your life and in your heart and with your children in your business and at this church it says if people can't see what god is doing they stumble all over themselves but when they attend to what he reveals they are most blessed and i'm just here to tell you no matter where you are in your life no matter if you're in the gutter, no matter if you feel like you're lost, no matter if you feel like you have everything, if you get a vision from God, it recalculates everything in your life and you're able to be most blessed. But you have to see what God is doing and you have to attend to what God is doing. You have to participate in it and we end up most blessed. So one of the things we used last week was an example of a GPS. …

Called To Be An Influencer – Part 3
Jack Hibbs, 2026-08-23

… Thank you. King James Version, Proverbs 29, verse 18, King James. Where there is no vision, the people perish. Notice the correlation from Hosea. Proverbs 29, 18, New King James Version. Where there is no revelation, it's the same difference. No vision, no revelation. Where there's no word guiding, the people cast off restraint. English Standard Version. Where there is no prophetic vision, the people cast off restraints. In other words, where there's no vision, where there's no purpose, you have a tendency to get lazy, sleepy, lackadaisical, apathetic. I submit, we'll keep going through this in a second, I submit that the church in America, if not the world, is predominantly without vision, without purpose, because it is apathetic. It doesn't know where to go and what to do, and the book is right in front of them. And they refuse to open it. They do what Charles Spurgeon said. They've gotten away from the Bible and they teach sermonettes for Christianettes. Proverbs 29, verse 18, New Living Translation. …

… And I want to share that with you, at least from a pastor's perspective. Proverbs chapter 29 and verse 18, Where there is no vision, the people perish. But he that keepeth the law, happy is he. Now the word for vision here is not the normal word for vision. that means to see, but it actually, the Hebrew word means where there is no revelation of the will of God, where there is no open revelation, where God is not speaking and people are not hearing and heeding what God is saying, then those people perish. We need to hear from God. Now, a holy church is an awesome, awesome weapon in the hand of a mighty God. And if there were ever a day and age in which we need churches like this one needs to be, and all churches ought to be, holy churches, this is the day and the age. I have in the things that I've jotted down here a litany of the problems that we have in America today. …
