… And it says they overcame Satan by the blood of the lamb, the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives until the death. But they overcame him by the blood of the lamb. So when you've sinned, you go to God and you say, Lord, forgive me of my sin and you put your sin in your past and walk into your future with courage because Christ has forgiven you. Don't miss this point. Thank you. because I know I'm talking to somebody right now who's crippled by their sin. You don't have to be anymore. You can have a fresh start. This phrase, be of good courage, is used of a woman struggling to get to Jesus in a crowd of people. She had this physical ailment, and she reasoned, if I can touch the hem of his garment, I'll be healed, and she reaches through, and she touches him, and Jesus stops and says, who just touched me? Well the fact is everyone had touched him. Who touched me? He says for I perceive that power has gone out of me. And there's a woman and he says to her be of good courage. …

… Somebody say, I have a personal gift. Go to Revelations 12 verse 11. Revelations 12 verse 11. And this is one of the most amazing scriptures to me because it sums up how we overcome everything, how any challenges that come in our life, how we can overcome the enemy, how we can overcome lack, poverty, anything in our life. Look what it says. It says, and they have defeated him. And this is talking about Satan, the adversary, your hater, like the devil. He's real and he does not want you to win. He wants to steal, kill and destroy everything. And it says it gives you the blueprint of how to beat him every time. you defeat him by the blood of the lamb that's what christ has already done that's grace that was poured out on a cross 2 000 years ago and when you receive that you have to understand that your life changed but i thought that would be enough pastor mike i thought i could overcome just by the blood of the lamb i thought i mean christ did the finished work like that's all i need is jesus and so the enemy keeps you silent and not using this next part because he knows you can still be defeated. You can be saved, isolated and alone and the enemy wearing you out in the back of your house. How you saved and depressed. Come on, let's be honest. How do I have the unlimited power of Jesus Christ on the inside of me? But I'm still cutting. I'm still lying. …

Slaying the Great Red Dragon
Robert Jeffress, 2026-08-13

… God day and night. Thank God he has been thrown down. Verse 11, and they, that is the tribulation saints, overcame him because of the blood of the lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death. He's talking about the tribulation saints. And he says, and they overcame Satan. What do you mean they overcame Satan? They got their heads chopped off in the tribulation. They got thrown in the fire because of their faith. What do you mean they overcame? Well, they didn't end up on earth. They ended up in heaven. And that's why they're victors. They overcame. To overcome means to obey God regardless of the consequences. They overcame him because of the blood of the lamb. That's why they're in heaven and because of their word of their testimony. And notice this phrase, they didn't love their life even when faced with death. I came across a quote this week. I hope you'll write this down. …

… in the book of Revelation, maybe in the New Testament. And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb. by the word of their testimony, because they love not their lives to the death. They overcame the dragon in every era by three things. Three ways we overcome the dragon. First, by the blood of the lamb. Y'all, that's our primary weapon. We're fighting a battle and a war that's already been won. The finished work of Christ is our primary weapon. On the cross, Paul explained, Jesus unmasked the powers of evil, put them to shame and defeated them. The last thing Jesus said from the cross was a victory cry, the word tetelestai, a word that archaeologists have found scrawled across Roman tax receipts after the tax had been fully paid. Tetelestai, it is paid. It is finished. It is won. It is done. We overcome him, John says, by the blood of the lamb, by the announcement that the power of sin and death have been broken and Satan has been defeated, which leads me to the second phrase. And by the word of their testimony. It's our proclamation of the finished work that overcomes Satan. It's not enough that he died. What overcomes Satan is that we preach that he died. It is the foolishness of preaching, Paul says, us proclaiming to each other and to the world the finished work of Christ that cracks and destroys the power of the dragon. Their testimony overcame it. Where there is no testimony and no …

Your Only Hope – Part 5
Jack Hibbs, 2026-04-05

We also learn this. Revelation chapter 12, verse 11. The Bible tells us of those in heaven, and they overcame him by the blood of the lamb. How do you get to heaven? By the way. Who is the way? The lamb is the way. Jesus is the way. And when you read that section of the book of Revelation, they're rejoicing because they followed the lamb of God all the way to heaven. Jesus' first words to his disciples was what? Come and follow me. Because he's the way. And then in Matthew chapter 20, verse 28, look at this. The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life a ransom for many. The word ransom, we don't see that word often, but it means that Jesus Christ came to pay what was hanging over your head by your enemy. You have been kidnapped. Are you guys listening? You guys have been kidnapped by sin, and Satan uses that against you. …

Six Foundations for Spiritual Battle
David Platt, 2025-07-16

… immortal, everlasting, never failing, which then leads us to Revelation chapter 12, verse nine through 11. Listen to this. This is how the whole story is gonna end. That great dragon was thrown down. Who's that? That ancient serpent. Who's that? Who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world. He was thrown down to the earth. His angels thrown down with him. And I heard a loud voice in heavens, saying, now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come. For the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. And they have conquered him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death. Ladies and gentlemen, this war has already been won. Jesus, our King, has conquered sin and Satan. He has risen from the dead. He is reigning on high right now. And one day he is coming back. And Jesus is going to curl the adversary and all his minions and deceptions and accusations into an abyss. …
