1Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth have passed away, and the sea is no more. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth are passed away; and the sea is no more. 2I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. 3And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying: “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God.I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people; and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.And I heard a great voice out of the throne saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he shall dwell with them, and they shall be his peoples, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God: 4‘He will wipe away every tear from their eyes,’ and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away.”He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more. The first things have passed away.”And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.and he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more; neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more: the first things are passed away. 5And the One seated on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” Then He said, “Write this down, for these words are faithful and true.”He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” He said, “Write, for these words of God are faithful and true.”And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he that sitteth on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he saith, Write: for these words are faithful and true. 6And He told me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give freely from the spring of the water of life.He said to me, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give freely to him who is thirsty from the spring of the water of life. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. And he said unto me, They are come to pass. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7The one who overcomes will inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he will be My son.He who overcomes, I will give him these things. I will be his God, and he will be my son.He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.He that overcometh shall inherit these things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. 8But to the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and sexually immoral and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This is the second death.”But for the cowardly, unbelieving, sinners, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their part is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. But for the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part shall be in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death. 9Then one of the seven angels with the seven bowls full of the seven final plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls which were loaded with the seven last plagues came, and he spoke with me, saying, “Come here. Its radiance was like a most precious jewel, like a jasper, as clear as crystal.having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;having the glory of God: her light was like unto a stone most precious, as it were a jasper stone, clear as crystal: 12The city had a great and high wall with twelve gates inscribed with the names of the twelve tribes of Israel, and twelve angels at the gates.having a great and high wall with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel. And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:having a wall great and high; having twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south, and three on the west.On the east were three gates, and on the north three gates, and on the south three gates, and on the west three gates. On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.on the east were three gates; and on the north three gates; and on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. 14The wall of the city had twelve foundations bearing the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them twelve names of the twelve Apostles of the Lamb. And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15The angel who spoke with me had a golden measuring rod to measure the city and its gates and walls. He who spoke with me had for a measure a golden reed to measure the city, its gates, and its walls. And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. And he that spake with me had for a measure a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. 16The city lies foursquare, with its width the same as its length. And he measured the city with the rod, and all its dimensions were equal—12,000 stadia in length and width and height. The city is square. Its length is as great as its width. He measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand twelve stadia. Its length, width, and height are equal. And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. And the city lieth foursquare, and the length thereof is as great as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs: the length and the breadth and the height thereof are equal. 17And he measured its wall to be 144 cubits, by the human measure the angel was using. Its wall is one hundred forty-four cubits, by the measure of a man, that is, of an angel. And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel. And he measured the wall thereof, a hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel. 18The wall was made of jasper, and the city itself of pure gold, as pure as glass. The construction of its wall was jasper.
