He has eyes like blazing fire, and many royal crowns on His head. He has a name written on Him that only He Himself knows. His eyes are a flame of fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has names written and a name written which no one knows but he himself. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And his eyes are a flame of fire, and upon his head are many diadems; and he hath a name written which no one knoweth but he himself.

… Now I saw heaven opened, verse 11, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on him was called faithful and true, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one except himself knew. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood and his name is called the Word of God. And the armies in heaven clothed in fine linen, ooh, I love some good linen, white and clean followed him on white horses. now out of his mouth goes a sharp sword that with it he should strike the nations and he himself will rule them with a rod of iron he himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of almighty god and he has on his robe and on his thigh a name written king of kings and lord Lord of Lords. Are you looking forward to that day? A little bit of context here because we're jumping in, not to the middle of the book, we're jumping into the tail end of this book, the book of Revelation. Not only the tail end of the Bible, but the tail end of the book of Revelation as well. So John is the author of Revelation. He's authored five books total, for prior to this. He's authored the Gospel of John for a second and third John, and now we have Revelation. And he's living in exile right now because he's the only apostle, tradition tells us, …
… genuine, and in righteousness, he judges and wages war for his eyes or a flame of fire talks about his piercing judgment. And on his head are many diadems, regal crowns, symbolizing his right to rule. It was this picture that caused Matthew Brides in 1852 to write that hymn, crown him with many crowns, the lamb upon his throne. His eyes are a flame of fire and on his head are many diadems. And he has a name written on him, which no one knows except himself. Are you curious about what that name is that is written on him that nobody knows about himself? Would you like to know? I don't have a clue. Nobody knows. That's why it says, Nobody knows except himself. We don't know what it is. He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood. It's not in his blood. It's in the blood of his adversaries on earth who are fighting him. And his name is called the word of God. This is the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. …

And he had a name written that no one knew except himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and his name is called the Word of God. And the armies in heaven clothed in fine linen. Okay, this is awesome. We went from the bride of Christ clothed in fine linen to being an army. Every guy. All the guys in the room were getting a little bit concerned about us wearing girls' clothes in heaven until this part. This part's like, all right. all right and the armies in heaven clothed in fine linen white and clean followed him on white horses now out of his mouth goes a sharp sword that with it he should strike the nations and he himself will rule them with a rod of iron that's called the millennium that's his government for a thousand years he's going to rule he himself treads the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of almighty God and he has on his robe and on his thigh a name written king of kings and Lord of Lords. …
… And he will come again on a war horse. Revelation chapter 19, verses 11 to 12. But in his first coming, in this first advent, he comes on a cult of a donkey offering amnesty. Second, verse 9, he comes to accomplish that peace. He's not just the mouthpiece of it. He's the one who achieves it. Verse 9, behold, your king is coming to you, righteous and having salvation as he, humble and mounted on a donkey. now there's two pairs there you got the righteous and having salvation and the humble and mounted you can hear the exaltation there mounted on a donkey i only got time for the second for our purposes the second one makes the key contribution to what we need to know about Zechariah 9. The word here for humble, I describe it in English as a passive term. A more literal translation would be humbled and mounted on a donkey. So humbled and exalted. So humble is not saying what the donkey is. …

From his mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it he may smite down the nations, and he will rule them of the rod of iron, and he treads the winepress of the fierce wrath of God Almighty. When he arrives, you have universal worship, just hurrying to an end, verses 16 to 19. Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that went against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and celebrate the Feast of Booths. …
