I know where you live, where the throne of Satan sits, yet you hold fast to My name. You did not deny your faith in Me, even in the days of My faithful witness Antipas, who was killed among you where Satan dwells.“I know your works and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. You hold firmly to my name, and didn’t deny my faith in the days of Antipas my witness, my faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.I know where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s throne is; and thou holdest fast my name, and didst not deny my faith, even in the days of Antipas my witness, my faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwelleth.

… But in the midst of this, now we know we have more unbelievers. In the midst of this, he says, verse 13, you hold fast my name and didn't deny my faith, even in the days of Antipas, my witness, my faithful one who was killed among you where Satan dwells. You're still faithful. Some of you, but against the larger group we could assume, I think, have a few things against you, verse 14. You have there some who hold the teaching of Balaam, who kept teaching Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel to eat things sacrificed to idols and commit acts of immorality. Balaam was a prophet who was trying to, under the leadership of Balak, king of Moab, seduce women, Moabite women, to seduce Jewish men to have intermarriage and bring about idolatry. And that's exactly what happened, idolatry and immorality. In verse 15, he says, you have some who hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans. And so now there are some still mingling with idolatry and immorality, which was not only a part of Balaam's identification back in Numbers 22, but also a part of the paganism from which these churches had emerged. …
… Silvanus in 1 Peter 5, faithful. Revelation 2.13, Antipas, my faithful one who was killed, he was a martyr but was faithful to death. And Paul in 1 Timothy 1.12 declares that he was faithful. This is a simple statement. I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has strengthened me because He considered me faithful, putting me into service, ministry. And I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, a violent aggressor, but the grace of the Lord was abundant toward me." We who are in ministry are to take what's been delivered to us, 2 Timothy 2.2, and hand it off to faithful men who shall be able to teach others also. That is the expression of the heart and soul of qualification for ministry, faithfulness to Christ, in terms of a life that follows Christ, faithfulness to Scripture, a life and teaching that is true in every sense in representing the meaning of Scripture. Our Lord gave a number of parables when He talked about faithful servants. He made the famous statement, well done, good and faithful servant. …
I know where you dwell, where Satan's throne is. Yet you hold fast my name, and you did not deny my faith, even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. But I have a few things against you. You have some there who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Belak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel so that they might eat food sacrificed to idols and practice sexual immorality. So also you have some who hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans. Therefore repent. If not, I will come to you soon and war against them with the sword of my mouth. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers, I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone with a new name written on the stone that no one knows except the one who receives it. And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write, The words of the Son of God who has eyes like a flame of fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze. …
