… before he pours out the judgment down on the earth? I don't know about you, but you should have, you all should have just gone crazy over that one. Revelation chapter 22, verse 17. We're almost done. Revelation 22, 17. And the spirit and the bride say, come and let him who hears say, come and let him who thirsts, come. Whoever desires, let him take of the water of life freely. This is Revelation chapter 22, the last book of the Bible. The scene is in heaven. The bride is in heaven, joining in with the Holy Spirit, proclaiming, come. And the invitation is to enjoy eternity forever with God. And that's God's invitation. That's what he wants. He wants us to experience this. Very quickly, we're out of time. Forgiveness. Listen, we are the forgiven. We are the forgiven. 1 John 2, verse 12. I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his namesake. Go again, look at this past tense. Your sins, listen, it doesn't say your sins will be forgiven. It doesn't say that your sins are being forgiven. The Bible says to those who come to Christ, your sins are forgiven. Past tense. All sin. Past, today, future. It's all done with God because he lives in the eternal. I love this. Almost done. We're kept by the power of God. You can stand. We're kept by the power of God. Watch this. Next verse, kept by the power of God. And the Lord said to Peter, you know, Simon Peter, Simon, Simon, indeed, Satan has asked for …
… that followed that awful list. Verse 17, the spirit and the bride say, come, not go away, not you blew it, not get out of my presence, but come and let the one who hears say, come, and let the one who is thirsty come. Let the one who desires take the water of life without price. There is a river of life flowing from the throne of God right now that brings healing and forgiveness. And it's offered to you right here, right now, today, without price, without price for you, because the price was fully paid by Jesus. There is a fountain filled with blood drawn from Emmanuel's veins and sinners plunged beneath that flood, lose all their guilty stain. All you got to do is come. and so revelation ends with the voice of the spirit saying come come have you taken up that offer blessed are those who wash their robes so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates because outside you see outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murders and idolaters and all those people who love and practice falsehood who would not give it up and come to Jesus. But I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and of the offspring, the descendant of David, the bright and morning star and the spirit of the bride say, come. …
… This is not a marginal emphasis this weekend. This is where the Bible ends in Revelation chapter 22, verse 17. Right? Let the one who is thirsty come. Let the one who desires take the water of life without price. Channeling the prophet Isaiah. Jesus satisfies the longing soul already in measure and one day in full. He is living water for your thirst, true bread for your hunger, milk for your strength, wine for joy, and all without cost because he himself paid it. And in doing that, in giving us that kind of joy, he's glorified. He makes a name for himself. So I want you to come with me this weekend. Come to satisfy your soul in this God. Come to feast on his word. Do you come to the Bible hungry, wanting to eat? How about prayer? Do you come to prayer thirsty? Do you come to worship on Sunday? Come to these sessions tomorrow. I want you to come hungry. Come thirsty for God. And in our joy, in our satisfaction, in our delight in him, embattled as it is in this life, dynamic as it is in this life, he is honored, he's exalted, he's glorified because God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him. …
… It says this. It says, the spirit and the bride say, come. And let the one who hears say, come. Let the one who is thirsty come. and let the one who wishes to take the free gift of the water of life. I like that. The spirit of God and the bride. If you don't know what the bride is in the Bible terms, let's just take out the word bride and replace it with the word church. The spirit of God and the church of God, they are shouting to humanity, come on, show up. They're inviting the earth. They're inviting the world. They're inviting anybody that doesn't have hope or as the Bible refers to as thirsty. And we all know what a thirst trap is, so stay away. But anybody that's thirsty, to come drink from water, to receive the free gift. I like the word free and gift combined. Anybody else? Who in here has got a Costco membership? Praise the Lord. Ain't nothing like a college guy walking through the aisles just looking for a sample. …
… heart is set on the heavenly city. And I say what now the response in the text is, the spirit in the bride say what? What do they say? Come. Let the one who hears say what? Come. And not only are we saying, Lord, you come, but we're understanding there's still an opportunity here. So powerful. yes come but then the verse breaks and the focus shifts again let the one who is thirsty come and let the one who wishes does anybody wish today to take the free gift of the water of life come it's not sealed yet and right here at the end he's inviting I'm inviting on his behalf today. Is anybody thirsty? What does that mean? It means you drank it all up, but it didn't do it. You gathered it all as much as you could, but it didn't do it for you. You tried it all, but it didn't do it for you. They didn't do it. It didn't do it. He didn't do it. …
