… for the first time you said in your word behold I stand at the door and knock if anyone hears my voice and opens the door I will come in and sup with he and he with me in other words I'll have an exchange God you've been knocking on the doors of the hearts of people here in this room and even watching via live stream. And Father, as they are saying yes to you, I thank you that you are coming in, God. And you're sealing them with the Holy Spirit of promise. I want you to repeat after me. Heavenly Father, I thank you for your love. I feel it. Heavenly Father, I thank you for your word. Everything you spoke to me, I receive it I thank you for Jesus thank you for making him who had no sin all of mine all of my weakness all of my limitation all of my shortcomings you placed in his body nailed it to the cross and put it to death and as he was raised up free and victorious on the third day because I'm in him I'm raised up too in the name of Jesus may every chain break off of my mind off of my heart off of my body and off of my life I'm grafted in to precious promises and I can't be stopped. …

Fallen But Forgiven | Sunday Message
Greg Laurie, 2026-08-23

… he gave the power to become sons of God. Jesus says, behold, I stand at the door and I knock. and if you will hear my voice and open the door, I will come in. Have you asked Jesus to come into your life? If not, why don't you do it right now? Right now. Without delay or come back to him. He's just a prayer away. In a moment, I'm gonna pray for you and hopefully pray with you and give you an opportunity for you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, for you to be forgiven of your sin, For you to know that when you die, you will go to heaven. For you to fill that void deep in your life. Let's pray. Now, Father, I pray for everyone here. If there's anyone here that does not know you, and I'm sure there are some, or if there's anyone here that has fallen away from you, let this be the moment they return, return to you and be forgiven of their sin. …

The Coming Of The King
Jack Hibbs, 2026-05-20

… and you shall have eternal life. Awesome. Oh, I have too much. We're out of time. Revelation 3.20. That's a good one. Psalm 24, verse 7 and 9. That's really great too. Matthew 6.33. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added to you? Think of that. What about Luke 10, 9? And Jesus, and he sent them out and healed the sick there and say to them, the kingdom of God has come near to you. That's amazing. He told them, go preach the gospel and tell them when you do the miracles, that's not the point. When they see the power of God by miracles, use that to tell them the kingdom of God is near you. Did you see that power? Yes, that's amazing. Okay, that's great. We got your attention. Listen up. The kingdom of God is near you. Why did he say near? Because they got to accept the kingdom. Right now, tonight, the kingdom of God is near you. …

… for the first time. You said, behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone would hear my voice and open the door, I would come in. I will come in. So Father, as we say yes to you, as we yield and say, yes, Lord, not my will, but your will, I thank you for the divine deposit of the Holy Spirit that you're going to make in their lives even now. Glory to God. Hallelujah. God there's some and I say it's purpose for all who are going to be that number that do great exploits because you're going to cause them to know so Father I pray new dimensions of knowing new levels new dimensions of clarity boldness and knowing that we might walk in something different. And while the world is shaking, all the shaking is doing is putting us into position. And our knowing will determine our going. Hallelujah. God, for those who are returning home, I thank you, God, for a prodigal son and prodigal daughter welcome. …

What Everyone Desperately Needs
Skip Heitzig, 2026-04-05

… him, follow me, and I'll make you fishers of men. I'm going to ask you to make that decision. Only you can make it. The Bible says, behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone will open the door, I will come in and have fellowship with him and he with me. You've got to open that door. Nobody can do it for you. The doorknob is on the inside. You say, well, what do I have to do? You're asking me to make a decision. What do I have to do in this decision? Number one, you need to realize that you're a sinner. What do you mean I'm a sinner? Yep, you are. So am I. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Newsflash, you're not perfect. And if you don't know, if you're a little insulted that I just said you're not perfect, ask somebody who knows you really well, like your husband, wife, mom, dad, child. They'll tell you. Realize that you're not perfect. …

Humble Beginnings | Chad Veach
Chad Veach, 2025-12-24

… Put it on the screen. Revelation chapter 3, verse 20. Here I am. I stand at the door and I knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and I will eat with that person and they with me. Jesus never breaks down the door. Jesus never barges in. He stands and he knocks. And he says, I want to let you know, I want to dine with you. But I will not show up in a home where I'm not welcome. Make your life a place that's welcoming Jesus. You're inviting Jesus. You're learning how to host Jesus. I desire you, God. I want actually less of me. And I actually want more of you in my life. I'm not interested in less of Jesus. I'm making room for more of Jesus. Anybody else? See, that's how you know. And watch what the Bible says to those that do this and live this life. Worship team, come join me. John chapter 1, verse 12. …

Now, by the way, this is right after they rip. Revelation 3.20, kicking and screaming out of context. You know, Revelation 3.20, behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and I will dine with him and he with me. Revelation 3.20 is written to the church at Laodicea, not to lost people. It was never intended to be a salvation verse. That is an abuse of Scripture. It is an absolute abuse and misuse of Scripture. when we use Revelation 3.20 and tell an unbeliever that Jesus is knocking at the door of their heart. It is not so. And right after the four spiritual laws abuses that verse of Scripture, here's what they tell people. You pray this prayer. Lord Jesus, I need you. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive you as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. …

The Savior Who Seeks (Luke 19:1-10)
John MacArthur, 2023-04-23

… I wonder if he's knocking on the heart of some of you. Revelation 3.20, Behold, I stand at the door and knock. if He's seeking you in one day, this day, you can be transformed. Respond by embracing Him. Let's pray. Lord, the message is clear. We can't earn salvation by being good. It only comes as a gift to those who know they're bad, sinful, wicked, and cry out for mercy. I pray for your glory that you would seek and save some who are lost even this day. I ask in Christ's name.

… So be zealous and repent Behold, I stand at the door and knock If anyone hears my voice and opens the door I will come into him and eat with him and he with me The one who conquers I will grant him to sit with me on my throne As I also conquered and sat down with my father on his throne He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. Thank you. After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, Come up here and I will show you what must take place after this. At once I was in the Spirit, and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with one seated on the throne. And he who sat there had the appearance of Jasper and Carnelian And around the throne was a rainbow that had the appearance of an emerald Around the throne were twenty-four thrones And seated on the thrones were twenty-four elders clothed in white garments With golden crowns on their heads From the throne came flashes of lightning and rumblings and peals of thunder and before the throne were burning seven torches of fire, which are the seven spirits of God. …

Letter to the Church in Laodicea
Tim Keller, 2008-08-17 · Scripture reading

… you. You make me vomit, but I'm absolutely committed to you. There's grace. And then he says, behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone will open to me, I will come in, and I will eat with him and him with me. Now, you know, in ancient times, to come into someone's home and eat with them, to be invited in, was to be invited into intimate fellowship and friendship. what is Jesus saying here? You know, evangelists use this all the time to say, bring Jesus' salvation into your life. And you know, that's okay to use the metaphor that way, but that's not how it's used. This is written to Christians. What is he saying? It's an invitation to bring Jesus' fellowship into your life. And here's what this means. When you sit down to pray, are you seeking fellowship with Jesus or are you just trying to get work done? Or you just have things that you're worried about that you've got to tell them about, things you're trying to get from them? Or do you sit down for half an hour, an hour, whatever, and say, I want to experience your love on my heart. I want it to be flooding the room and me. …

… love made my Savior go. Jesus is pictured in the Bible as loving us first. Revelation chapter 3 verse 20, Behold, I stand at the door and knock. It's not us knocking at His door, but He knocking at our door that caused us to open the door. Isn't that true? The Bible says there's none that seeketh after God. No, not one. And the husband is to do the same. I've learned this, that the man is the initiator and the woman is to be the responder. Turn with me for an illustration of that to the Song of Solomon. Would you do that? I want you to see this again speaks of the music of marriage. Here is an entire love poem, actually a song, it's called a song, that talks about marriage as music. And I want you to see how the male lover who pictures Christ loving his church is pictured here in, for example, chapter 1 and verse 8. Here he is speaking to his companion. If thou know not old, thou fairest among women. He's pursuing her with beautiful language, and you'll never find more beautiful language than this. Verse 15, Behold thou art fair, my love. Behold thou art fair, thou hast dove's eyes, thou art fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant, and so forth. It's incredible language. You say, well, why can't I talk like that? Well, maybe you need to work at it. I don't think Solomon just did this overnight. …

… AND RECEIVE HIM. NOW REMEMBER THAT JESUS CHRIST IS KNOCKING AT YOUR HEART'S DOOR RIGHT NOW. HE SAYS, BEHOLD, I STAND AT THE DOOR AND KNOCK. IF ANY MAN WILL HEAR MY VOICE AND OPEN THE DOOR, I WILL COME INTO HIM." SO HE'S RIGHT NOW KNOCKING AT YOUR HEART'S DOOR. HE BROUGHT YOU HERE TODAY THAT YOU MIGHT BE SAVED WHILE HEADS ARE BOWED AND EYES ARE CLOSED. I WANT TO HELP YOU TO OPEN THE DOOR AND RECEIVE CHRIST. AND RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE, FORGET, ANYONE ELSE IS HERE, I'D LIKE FOR YOU TO PRAY THIS WAY, DEAR GOD, THAT'S RIGHT, JUST SPEAK TO HIM, DEAR GOD, I KNOW THAT YOU LOVE ME, AND I KNOW THAT YOU WANT TO SAVE ME. JESUS, I BELIEVE YOU ARE THE SON OF GOD. I BELIEVE YOU'RE THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD. I BELIEVE THAT YOU DIED ON THE CROSS AND PAID MY SIN DEBT IN FULL, THAT YOU FULFILL THE LAW FOR ME. I BELIEVE THAT. I I BELIEVE THAT YOU WERE RAISED FROM THE DEAD. I BELIEVE IT. I BELIEVE YOU HAVE THE POWER TO SAVE ME AND TO CHANGE MY LIFE. I BELIEVE IT. AND NOW I OPEN MY HEART BY FAITH AND I RECEIVE YOU INTO MY LIFE AS MY LORD AND AS MY MASTER. I TRUST YOU NOW TO FORGIVE MY SIN, TO TAKE CONTROL OF MY LIFE, AND TO MAKE ME THE PERSON YOU WANT ME TO BE. COME INTO MY HEART, LORD JESUS. …
