And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power forever and ever!”I heard every created thing which is in heaven, on the earth, under the earth, on the sea, and everything in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be the blessing, the honor, the glory, and the dominion, forever and ever! Amen!”And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. And every created thing which is in the heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all things that are in them, heard I saying, Unto him that sitteth on the throne, and unto the Lamb, be the blessing, and the honor, and the glory, and the dominion, for ever and ever.

… a loud voice worthy is the lamb who was slain to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing. And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea and all that is in them saying to him who sits on the throne and to the lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever. And the four living creatures said, amen. And the elders fell down and they worship. This is what John sees. That's the vantage point he looks from. And this is what he knows is going to give the church the ability to press on, what they can fixate on when their world feels like it's spinning out of control. Yo, when I was a kid, one of my favorite things to do was rub my feet on a carpet and then shock somebody. Remember that? For Christians, rubbing up on this scene fills us with the power to endure suffering. It fills you with the power to resist temptation. …
… It's probably pretty loud. They said, worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise. And then I heard, first I had 24 elders and four living creatures. And there were 100 million angels. And now every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea and all that is in them. We're all now saying to him who sits on the throne and to, say it with me, the lamb. Be praise and honor and glory and power forever and ever. And the four living creatures said, no. No, they didn't say amen. They said, amen! They said, amen! No, they said, amen! I want to try one more time. They said, amen! With a hundred million angels and a little child. They were all there worshiping Jesus. It's all about him. It's all about the Lamb of God. They even named the book that contains your name, if you put faith in Jesus, in it after him. …
… I love how in the book of Revelation, we read this, Revelation 5.13, and the revelator, John, is having this vision of what paradise looks like. He's having this vision of the heavenly realms. And he says this, I heard every creature, notice that, every creature, not just every human. I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea. I heard everything everywhere say, blessing, honor, glory, and power belong to the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb forever and always. This passage is saying, if you listen to it, it's saying that not just all humans, but every living thing is going to be crying out God's praise, going to be crying out blessing and honor, glory, and power to God and to his Christ. I mean, how powerful, how beautiful is that? I love how in the book of Isaiah, it describes the messianic kingdom. And it says this, in that age when God will restore everything, the wolf will live with the lamb. …
… and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing and I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea and all that is in them saying to him who sits on the throne and to the lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever. the lamb the Passover lamb was insufficient but Christ the lamb of God was slain once for all the just for the unjust in order that he might bring us back to God two lambs met that night one was insufficient the other was holy and utterly sufficient so sufficient was the death of this lamb. That if God were to decide tonight that he wanted a billion more people to be numbered among the elect, the lamb would not have to shed one more drop of blood for that extra billion. Not one. Completely and utterly sufficient was the blood of the lamb. Two suppers collided that night. Two lambs collided that night. …
… in Revelation says, to him who sits on the throne and to the lamb, be all the glory and all the honor. Not most of the glory, and we get a tiny bit of the glory. No, all of the glory is going to him who sits on the throne and to the lamb. He is worthy of all glory forever. This whole story is always gonna be God's glory. Just bear with me, we're coming down to the end here. The problem of sin is to miss God's glory. It's not to do something bad. It's not to be disobedient. It's not that you made the wrong choice. Those things did happen, yes. But what was going on when those things happened? You and I chose less than the best. For all have sinned, and they fall short of the glory of God. The problem of sin is to miss God's glory. The wrath of God's being revealed from heaven. And Romans, against all the godlessness and wickedness of people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. …
… Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing. And every created thing in heaven is also responding, saying, to him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever. And then in verse 14, the four living creatures say amen, and the elders fall down and worship. what you have is this nonstop worship going on in heaven, nonstop, coming from angels and saints who are gathered around the throne. Heaven is a noisy place, and it is filled with unending praise, which then makes it shocking to see all of it stop. In verse 1, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. In the vision, there was dead silence. Half an hour would seem like a long time when unending praise halted. It would be very natural in the vision for John to say, what in the world is going to happen? What could stop heaven's praise? What could silence heavens, angels, and saints, men and angels glorified, holy, around the throne, doing what they will do forever, go dead silent. What could possibly cause that? What would be so awesome, so totally dominating, so significant that it would silence the praise of heaven? …
… myriads, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing. And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea and all things in them, I heard saying, To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever. And the four living creatures kept saying, Amen, and the elders fell down and worshiped. Indeed, that is pure worship. And even though it comes at the early part of the book of Revelation, it is worship in anticipation of the end of the book of Revelation, and that is of Christ taking back the creation, taking back the universe, establishing Himself as King of kings and Lord of lords. There's a lot to happen before that happens, and we'll go through that in the middle of the chapters of this wonderful prophecy. …
… voices. And then in verse 13, every created thing which is in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea and all things in them I heard saying to Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever. And the four living creatures kept saying, Amen, and the elders fell down and worshiped. That's heavenly worship. There are two aspects to this section on worship. One is an oratorio of creation's redemption, chapter 4. The other is an oratorio of man's redemption, chapter 5. But here's what you need to know. All worship is directed at God, all of it. God is being honored. God is being worshiped. God is receiving all the glory. 1 Chronicles 17 20 says, O Lord, there is none like You, neither is there any God besides You. Everything is directed at God. That's why Scripture says you love Him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, because there is no other. Just two psalms, and I'll close. Psalm 86, which identifies the singularity with which God is to be worshiped. Verses 8 to 10, Psalm 86, there is no one like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like yours. All nations whom you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and they shall glorify your name. For you are great and do wondrous deeds, You alone are God. …
… and might. and honor and glory and blessing and I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea and all that is in them saying to him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever and the four living creatures said amen and the elders fell down and worshiped Thank you. Now I watched when the lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say with a voice like thunder, come. And I looked and behold a white horse, and its rider had a bow and a crown was given to him, and he came out conquering and to conquer. When he opened the second seal I heard the second living creature say, come. Out came another horse, bright red. Its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth so that people should slay one another, and he was given a great sword. …
… and wealth, and wisdom, and might, and honor, and glory, and blessing. And I heard every creature in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and in the sea, and all that's in them saying, to him who sits on the throne, and to the lamb, be blessing, and honor, and glory, and might forever and ever. Can you imagine seeing that? Man, can you imagine? Like, you know what hit me about this passage the other day? was where we come into the picture. Okay, so you've got the throne of God. You've got the lightning, the thunder, the fire, the throne. You've got those four living creatures with eyes all over their wings and six wings each and all over their bodies. And they're screaming, holy, holy, holy. You have these 24 elders and they're just staring at the throne and they're just bowing down. casting all their, no one's taking it. Everyone's just looking at the throne. That's what holy, holy, holy is all about. It's like, it's all about the one on the throne. …
