… throne of God, meaning they are saved. And not only that, they're in white robes, meaning they've been forgiven and palm branches, a sign of victory. And they cry out with a loud voice saying, salvation to our God who sits on the throne and to the lamb. And all the angels were standing around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures. And they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God saying, amen, blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever. Amen. Who are these multitudes that come from every tribe, every nation under earth? This is part of the greatest revival the world will have ever seen. These are those who are saved during the tribulation through the witness of the 144,000. It's going to be something like the world has never experienced before. Look at verses 13 and 14. John answers it clearly. Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, these who are clothed in white robes, who are they? And where have they come from? And I said to him, my Lord, you know. And he said to me, these are the ones who come out of the great tribulation. Remember, there are no Christians at the beginning of the tribulation. Millions of people are saved, but some of them will die because of the natural elements that will be disrupted, the cosmological disturbances, the volcanoes, the earthquakes, the lack of food. …
… They were clothed and they had palm branches in their hands. And they were crying with a loud voice saying, Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne and unto the Lamb. And all of the angels were standing around the throne and they worshiped God around the throne with the elders and the four living creatures. And the Bible said that they worshiped until they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God saying, Amen, blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and forever. Amen. Don't be surprised if you come into church late in the days ahead And you think you know where they're at on the timeline Because when the glory of God hits this room You're going to come in and find us all on our faces before God Tell somebody I'm hungry like that When I tell you when people are hungry The worship of heaven It is The worship of heaven is Multitude driven Somebody say Multitude driven That's you and me The real worship of heaven is multitude driven It is not platform driven I said it is not Platform driven And when John was caught up in the spirit, he did not see platform-driven worship. He saw multitude-driven worship. John saw the worship of heaven in Revelation 9. My friend Bob Sorge said it like this. He said, had John been caught up in the spirit and seen one of our worship services today, …

… the lamb clothed in white robes with palm branches and their hands crying out with a loud voice salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne and to the Lamb. It's a reference to Jesus, the Messiah. And then you keep going. Watch this, verse 13. One of the elders addressed me saying, who are these clothed in white robes? Where have they come? I said to him, sir, you know. He said to me, these are the ones coming out of the great tribulation in this world. They've washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb who's paid the price for their sin. Therefore, they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in the temple and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence. Watch this. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more. … We've got to keep pressing on where Christ has not been named among all the nations. then you get to the very end, Revelation chapter 7, verse 9 and 10. A great multitude that no one could number from every what? Nation, every tribe, every people, every language gathered around the throne of God, giving him glory for his salvation. That's where God has designed all of history to land, with him getting glory among all the nations. Do you see it? We're made to spread the glory of God to all the nations of the earth. This is why God has given us grace. Now, some of you might be thinking, wait a minute, are you saying that God has an ulterior motive in blessing me? That God shows grace to me as an ulterior motive and an ultimate motive beyond just me in that? And I want to be clear, that's not what I'm saying. That's what God is saying. you are not at the center of God's universe he is at the center of his universe some of you are thinking wait a minute God does all these things for his own glory isn't that self-centered of God you're saying God is self-centered and I want to be clear that's not what I'm saying it's what God is saying of course he centers around himself If it rubs you wrong that God lives to exalt himself, I would just ask the follow-up question, who else would you rather him exalt? …
… crying out with a loud voice salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne and to the Lamb. Church, this purpose is worth your life. What other purpose in this world is worth your life? And this is where all of history is headed. You wanna live for what's gonna matter? Then jump on this train. as we reach one person at a time, as we start new congregations across our city that have this DNA, as we see discipling 10,000 in this church family as part of a global picture that has power to impact millions with the gospel. So let me just ask you to pray this today in light of all that we've just walked through. Would you just pray, God, I'm in. Use my life however you want with your supernatural power for your global purpose. Let's just pray that all together today, not knowing all that it means, but trusting the one who does. Even as I wanna invite anybody who hasn't yet trusted in Jesus to pray similarly, God, I'm in. …
… The Holy Spirit enables us to fulfill God's purpose. Well, can I remind you that Revelation chapter 7, verse 9 and 10 says, There is coming a day where a multitude from every nation, every tribe, every people, and every language will bow around the throne of Jesus Christ. and they will sing, salvation belongs to our God and to the Lamb who sits on the throne. That's the whole purpose. In all of eternity, there's going to be a day when people from Iran and Iraq and Lebanon and Israel and China and North Korea and Brazil and the United States are all going to gather around the throne and in all different languages, as one, we're going to sing praises to Christ. That's the purpose of God. And it was the purpose of God in Acts chapter 2 and it's still the purpose of God today. That's why the church in Brookhills cannot be content to reach Birmingham for Christ. We were created to impact all peoples, all languages, all nations with his glory and his goodness. …
… crying out in a loud voice, salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne and to the Lamb. The whole goal of sanctification is not our perfection and holiness. The goal is we are now bowing around the throne of Jesus Christ with multitudes that no one can count from Indonesia and East Timor and from right across the road who are worshiping Christ for the salvation he has given. That's where the whole picture is headed. We will see his glory. We will enjoy it forever. We will display it on our faces for all of eternity. That's where this whole thing is headed. The end of disciple making is the earth spread with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, just like the waters cover the sea. impact in the world is the goal of this whole picture. And at Church at Brookhills, we will not settle for any goal less than that. So what now? I believe it comes down to two thoughts that go together. …
… in Revelation says, to him who sits on the throne and to the lamb, be all the glory and all the honor. Not most of the glory, and we get a tiny bit of the glory. No, all of the glory is going to him who sits on the throne and to the lamb. He is worthy of all glory forever. This whole story is always gonna be God's glory. Just bear with me, we're coming down to the end here. The problem of sin is to miss God's glory. It's not to do something bad. It's not to be disobedient. It's not that you made the wrong choice. Those things did happen, yes. But what was going on when those things happened? You and I chose less than the best. For all have sinned, and they fall short of the glory of God. The problem of sin is to miss God's glory. The wrath of God's being revealed from heaven.
