For All In The Family – Part 2
Jack Hibbs, 2026-10-04

… and nothing more to pray, in Romans chapter eight, verse 26 to 27, turn to him and just absolutely take your heart out and set it into his hands. the wind has been knocked out of you. You can't even catch your breath with what's been delivered to you. He knows. You don't need to tell the world. you just need to get alone with him. Look at verse 14. He desires the best for you and I. He says in verse 14, for her, that is wisdom, proceeds are better than the profits of silver and her gain than fine gold. Wow. We won't take long on this. wisdom is better than silver. You see, Jack, are you crazy? You know how much money I'm making investing in silver? Okay, hey, I'm not talking money. who do who what are those a great philosopher once said money can't buy you love who said that the beatles yes that's who it was i thought of the other philosopher aristotle plato no it was tina turner what's love got to do with it love's got everything to do with it the love of god for you. The love of God wants and desires for you his very best. You and I think, humanly speaking, need more silver, need more gold. Roslyn Financial. I did not get paid to say that. …

Tremble at God's Word
David Platt, 2026-09-30

… know what to pray for sometimes. The Spirit intercedes for us with groans that words can't even express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accord with God's will. And we know that in all things, in all things, in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew, he predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called. Those he called, he also justified. And those he justified, he also glorified. What then shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own son, but gave him up for us all, how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? …

… who gets in us and ministers to us, in us, through us, and for us, and around us. And the Bible even lets us know when we pray, go ahead and read Romans chapter 8 verses 26 and 27. It says we don't even know how to pray as we ought to because of our weakness. And the Bible calls it in the old King James, our infirmity. It has to do with strengthlessness when we just ain't got it. And I don't care how long you've been going to church every now and then. You fall on your knees and pray and the words don't come to your right. Every now and then when life is hurting you and beating you down and messing with your mind and hurting your spirit. In those moments it's hard to find words to say when you want to pray. But that's when the Holy Spirit comes along and helps us. The Holy Spirit takes our prayers and polishes those prayers, takes them up to God, and y'all, the prayers get answered even if we didn't have words to say. …

… through wordless groans and he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the spirit because the spirit intercedes for God's people in accordance with the will of God. Again, that's from the pen of the Apostle Paul in the book of Romans chapter 8, verses 26 and 27. Few passages reveal the tender heart of the Holy Spirit more than this one from Romans chapter 8. We are accustomed to the powerful actions of the Holy Spirit. Fire falling on Pentecost. The Red Sea opening for Moses. The doors opening for Paul. Because of the Holy Spirit, Ezekiel saw dead bones rise. We're accustomed to the mighty visible acts of the Holy Spirit, yet church, of equal import is this, that the Spirit of God curates and translates the incoherent prayers of the weak until they are heard in the throne room of heaven. The Holy Spirit curates, that is, cares for, and translates, that is, puts in appropriate language, the incoherent prayers of the weak, the sick, the feeble, the lonely, the addicted, the isolated, the imprisoned, the weak. …

I'm only going to do one. We're not going to do all of them, but we're going to jump into Romans 8, 27 through 28. And it says, and he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the spirit because the spirit intercedes for God's people in accordance with the will of God. And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. So we're talking about watch God work, right? To be honest, when I got invited to speak today and they told me it was watch God work, I kind of had a moment of like, oh man, like I really wanted to have like a big exciting during 21 days of prayer and fasting. I was believing and it happened and it was awesome, but I don't have that story today. So I was a little bit like, I don't know what I'm going to say because to be honest, I've kind of felt like we've been working kind of slow, right? I have things just like you I'm believing for. I have things I was praying for that haven't happened yet, right? And so then I decided, okay, maybe we should look at what does the word watch mean? What is the definition of the word watch? So I asked my best friend, Chad GBT, and she said, she's always right. She said to watch means to look at or observe something attentively, usually over a period of time, right? I'm going to say it again. …

… This is pain. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is in the mind of the spirit because he maketh intercession for us according to the will of God. and we know Hit it again. that even though it doesn't sound good, even though it gets on my nerves, even though it wakes me up at 3 o'clock in the morning, even though it wakes me up again at 5, even though I drive to work half asleep, we still know that all things work together for the good of them that love the Lord, who are the called according to his purpose. It's going to work together. He's not wrong. He played exactly what I scored. We know it's going to work together for good. Hit it again. You might be at this present time hearing this on your insides, smiling on the outside, but inside, You go home and get by yourself And at night it's this It is like that because the spirit Is matching your spirit Groan for groan I wish I had time Deep calling on the deep That's what Job said Deep calling on the deep As the noise of thy water spout See this is what spiritual people have This is the intercession of the Holy Spirit It's a groaning He matches your groaning He meets you in the groaning. …

Yeah, Romans chapter 8, verse 18 through 28. When you have it, say amen. Paul says, for I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to even be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. I could stay there all day. I could just put up a tent and camp out in my backyard and stay on that text all day. I reckon that the sufferings of this present time, anybody got some sufferings? The suffering of your present time is not worthy to even be compared. Don't even put it in the same sentence. It's not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. The whole earth is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God, for you to peel back your flesh and show who you really are. Come on, talk to me, somebody. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly. …

Putting God Back at the Center
Francis Chan, 2018-03-01

… But the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And He who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. But He says right there in the beginning, He goes, The Spirit has to help us in our weakness because we do not know. We do not know what to pray for as we ought. When you go into prayer, don't you usually go and go, I know what I need to pray for. The Bible says, no, you don't. You don't even know what you're supposed to pray for. You need help even for that. and he says the spirit is the one who will help you pray according to the will of god because if you close your eyes and just start talking you're going to pray according to your own will see this is what humility is about even as i pray remember who i am speaking to first thing I do is say who am I about to talk to and then secondly the Bible itself says you don't know how to pray to him you need the Spirit's help when you pray do you pray humbly do you come before God trembling at who he is I can't believe I'm speaking to you and you say Holy Spirit I don't even know what to say right now help me help me pray according to the will of God you pray with me right …
