I See Angels, Part II - Touré Roberts

1:01:24 That Greek word literally means your expectation. Hebrews chapter 11, when it says that faith is the substance of things hoped for, that phrase, things hoped for, is the Greek word expectation. So faith is the substance of your expectation. Expectation is everything. And expectation comes by the word. When God gives you a word, he's not trying to tickle your fancy. He's trying to give you an expectation because expectation postures you to see right. Are we tracking? Okay. So expectation is the knowledge of what is available to you.

1:02:06 I don't know about you. You call me greedy, whatever you want to call me. I want everything that's available to me. I am greedy for God. Everything that God says is available to me. I'm eating it all. I want the salad. I want every course of the meal that is assigned to my life and dessert. And I'm going to eat all of it and lick the plate when I'm finished. You ain't got to wash these dishes. So the word brings you the knowledge of what's available to you and what belongs to you, and it should stir not only expectation but hunger.

1:03:05 Expectation is born from that knowledge. It's born from that truth. It's born from that revelation. Here's what expectation says. I know this is available to me. Oh God, I feel it. Some of y'all think it's available to you. Some of y'all even believe it's available to you. No, no, no, no, no. You got to get to a place where you say, I know. Bible says, for we know that all things work together for good. For we know that if this earthly tabernacle, come on now, not I think, not I believe, for we know if this earthly tabernacle was dissolved. We have a home in the heavens, a building not made with hands. James said, counted our joy when you fall into various temptations knowing this the trial of your faith produces patience you gotta know Gotta know.

1:04:10 So expectation says, I know this is available to me. Hunger says, I must have it. not I want it not I hope I get it I must have it maybe that's why Jacob had that I must have it spirit because it wasn't too long after his encounter with the angels and everything that he ran up on the Lord and began to wrestle with him and then he wrestled with him and said, you know what? I am not going to let you go until you bless me because I know you've got something for me. And I will not let go. I will not quit. I will not relent until I see what you promised my daddy and my granddaddy. I'm going to see it and I must have it.

And the pressure that you're facing is to produce the cry that's on the level of a life-changing response. I wish I could say that better. He is cultivating your cry, your hunger, and your desperation. I know this is available to me. I must have it.

1:08:18 Hunger is intentional. Why do you think I'm always calling us to fast? First of all, the Bible says, in fasting is often. Lifestyles, hunger, right? Fasting and prayer, spiritual disciplines. We're not trying to manipulate God. Those aren't manipulations. Those are signals, bat signals.

1:08:47 Let God know you're serious, that you've moved from believing to knowing. There's some miracles. There's some miracles that require a little bit more than your little cute prayer. We're almost there. hunger is serious put up a bat signal when you put up that bat signal not no believing bat signal but a knowing bat signal the eyes of the lord go to and fro throughout the whole earth looking to show himself strong on the behalf of those whose hearts are perfect towards him Sometimes when you are not hungry on the level that you need to be, you have to be hungry for hunger.

1:10:10 I wish I could say that better. You have to learn to be hung. When you kind of fall into a little bit of apathy and you know it, you have to hunger for hunger. Are you tracking? I want to make sure we get all this. You've got to go after it. There is a prophetic word that God spoke to me. There are a lot of giants in this generation. A lot of giants. And I used to pray, God, remove these giants. I don't pray that no more. I pray, God, restore my clarity. because if I can see right, I can deal with the giants.

1:11:06 See, if I see right, I will realize that the only reason why I'm calling them giants is because of my perspective. because if I really saw what was going on in the atmosphere, they would look like grasshoppers. That's why the Bible says, oh magnify the Lord with me. Oh magnify, make him bigger than what you're afraid of. That's what your praises do.

1:11:46 Lord spoke this to me. I'm going to release this. We're going to pray. he told me he whispered this to me as I sat in the secret place concerning this message and you and I believe it's going to resonate. God told me to tell you it's a sight problem.

Your issue is your perception about it. our problems are never our biggest problems our problems is how we perceive them and how that perception creates our inner life we got too many listen we have a promise for every problem every problem you face in life there's a promise for are we tracking but God told me to tell you he's opening your eyes today he's not going to leave you in that place he's going to do that which only he does he wants you to see remember that story when God touched the blind man's eyes and and he couldn't fully see he saw men as trees God didn't leave him he didn't leave him with foggy vision God touched him again until he could see clearly God's going to touch you again another touch is coming another touch is coming change your eyes and some of you are like Jacob I get it and it's been so rough that where you lay down it's felt hard no comfort you haven't had comfort in a long time You've been laying on a stone.

1:13:53 and maybe you believe that that's all you're worthy of or it's just your cup or your cross that you have to bear but God told me that he's going to move you from from stones as pillows to pillars of testimonies of the goodness of God in your life from pillows to pillars. He's going to use that very thing that was hard.

1:14:28 I want to pray for some people. Come on, stand with me. God's gonna touch you. He's gonna touch your eyes. He's gonna touch your eyes. Change your perspective. Change your perception. You're not just going to see angels. You're going to see everything differently. I was, many of you know I'm from California, from LA. And I grew up in Watts, South Central LA. and I've seen it all.

Just a forearm of this angelic being. So I thought that I was surrounded by trouble, not realizing that there was an angel saying, ain't nothing going to happen to you, son. When I see angels, that's not a cute little thing, and that wasn't the first time. I see angels. And God's going to open your eyes and you're going to see angels too.

1:17:17 You're going to see who's got your back, who's for you, who loves you. I want to pray for you. If you're here, as I mentioned last week, you must be born again. Nicodemus is like, man, I'm trying to figure this thing out. You know, how is this going to happen?

1:17:37 And he said, you've got to be born again. This is spirit. This is spiritual. It's not even a religious thing, right? He had the religious stuff worked out. He was a Sanhedrin counselor. He had the Torah. He had the Tanakh. He had the prophets. He had everything. And he was committed to it. But religion wasn't going to do it. It was an encounter with Jesus. and this encounter with Jesus opened his eyes and grew and evolved his sight to so much so that now he was willing to risk it all to walk with Jesus. If you're here, and everybody has had this moment. If you're watching via live stream, this is for you. If you're here and you have never opened up your heart to Jesus, maybe he's your mom's Jesus or your grandmother's Jesus, but you feel like, you know what, I've got to go a little deeper, and it's time to make him your Jesus. And you want him to open your eyes so that you might see.

1:18:32 And the symptoms of this not happening is you're always afraid and you're always wondering and you can't be yourself and you're confused about your future. And if the Lord is touching you saying, come here, I got you. I'm not mad at you for doing what you do. I expect you to do what you do until you're born again. How can you not? so if you're here and you say you know what PT I want the Lord to come into my life so that I can begin to see and walk out who I am I just want you to come and meet me here at this altar I want to pray for you wherever you are come on just come meet me here if you're online just say I receive Jesus and we'll connect with you and I want my intercessors who are in the chat to just those who say just begin to pray and if you're accepting Christ just say I receive Jesus I just want you to come Come on, can we get excited like heaven is rejoicing right now? Can we do what heaven is doing right now?

Everybody had their altar moment. Everybody. All of us start at the altar somewhere. Somewhere. I ground this expectation also in the Apostle Paul's prayer in Ephesians chapter 1 that the eyes of our understanding would be enlightened, that we would understand what the hope is of this calling, what the richness of the inheritance is in the saints that was wrought through Christ. So I thank you, God, that your sons and daughters will leave here with new eyes, with clearer eyes, that they will perceive who you are, who they are as a result of this covenant and the resources that are with them every single day to the effect of them moving differently, obeying more swiftly,
