44 Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Verse 1, as the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for you. As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for you. My soul thirsts for God. I didn't know a soul had, and it doesn't. a soul is not physical, but he's talking about another world of himself. There is the physical body, body, spirit, and soul. And he said, my soul, even though it doesn't have taste buds like my body and a mouth and thirst, yet his soul thirsts for God, the living God. Verse four, when I remembered these things, I pour out. There's another reference to water. Water in the Bible is a type of the Holy Spirit. And so he's thirsty for it. He's longing for it. His heart is pounding for it. Verse four, I pour out my soul. And then verse seven, deep calls unto deep at the noise of your water spouts, not waterfalls.
09 Water spouts is King James. Water spouts. And I like that because I think there's something significant about it. Water spouts. A water spout is a tornado over water. That's what it is. and he said my soul thirst oh God for you is anybody thirsty for living water this morning anybody thirsty for a long tall drink of the Holy Ghost Jesus described the Holy Spirit as living water and the water of life he said my spirit is poured out before you the wording is significant it poured out. It's in coordination with Joel 2. In the last day saith God, I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy upon your old men will dream dreams. Young men will see visions, handmaidens, servants. I'm going to pour out my spirit. And the apostle Peter on the day of Pentecost said, this is that which he was talking about. What happened in this upper room is the wind and the fire filled this room and they all began to pray in the spirit and drink of that living water spiritually. Simon Peter said, this is that that was spoken by the prophet Joel. And then he goes to this analogy and he says, deep calls unto deep at the noise of the water spout. Notice that noise is connected to the wind and the water tornado called a water spout.
07 Noise. Noise represents praise. You will never have a mighty move of the Holy Spirit without a church that praises the Lord. The Holy Spirit makes noise. the dead praise not the Lord, neither the dead that go down in silence. This church is not a quiet church on purpose. We are a church that is filled with the spirit and we're not ashamed to praise the Lord. This is not a dead thing. This is a living thing.
52 I came to make some Holy Ghost noise this morning. I came to let heaven know that I'm knocking on heaven's door again. And I would love to step into another world while I preach. I came to let hell know that you have not killed me, and I'm just getting started. And I will praise the Lord because the dead cannot praise him. The devil wishes I was dead and wishes you were dead, but he cannot kill us because Jesus rose from the dead and said, I have the keys. I came to praise my way to the throne of God this morning. I came to praise him until I'm set free. I came to praise him until my neighbors are set free.
47 I came to praise him until my children are set free. I came to praise him until my grandchildren are set free. I want you to get out of your head and lift up real praise to Jesus Christ this morning on Pentecost Sunday. Get out of your head, sitting around thinking, and open up your mouth and give God some noise, the noise of his water spout. Well, I brought a visitor. Your visitor needs this.
26 Your friend needs this. The Bible said, make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Let's do it right now. Right here, right now. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Glory to God. Hallelujah. I'm happier than I was when I was in a bar. I'm happier than I was when I was at a party. I'm happier than I was when I was out and lost and undone. I'm happier and I will make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Don't care what you're going through. You can be joyful. Don't care what you're facing. You can be joyful. Give him a joyful praise this morning.
19 I'm not a cheerleader. I'm not playing games. It is praise that is the door to the miraculous. Praise. Praise. Praise. Thank you. we make no apologies for the noise. We know how to get God's attention around here.
45 And it is in order to praise him on the cymbals and praise him on the saxophone and the trumpet and praise him on the stringed instruments, Psalms 150, and praise him in the sanctuary and praise him for his mighty acts. Let everything that hath breath praise ye the Lord. Make some noise. And he says it will begin to form a vortex. praise is the atmosphere of the miraculous now here's what i'm preaching on is how you get to the other world i want to slip in to the other world you can't live there some people act like they're so spiritual but you can just follow them home they're not that spiritual but there are moments where when people get in one mind and in one accord, like they did in that upper room and they forget about everybody and everything that you can slip into another world.
00 And you may need surgery in this world, but when you slip into that world, you come back into the natural. The doctor says, I don't know what happened, but you've been healed. You may be an addict in this world, but you get in God's presence and walk into that throne room. And suddenly the power of hell breaks. The yoke is popped. The anointing destroys that grip, that death grip on your life of alcohol and drugs. And you can walk out and say, I'm free in this service this morning. God has set me free. You see, you have your professional world and your work world and your real world. They call it the eight to five world. But there is another world. I'd like to draw the analogy of the text.
55 It's letting us know that a water spout, if it's over land, it picks up things and throws it. But a water spout can suck out of the ocean what's down there in another world and throw it up here into our world.
18 That actually happens. I'll prove it to you in just a moment. But what we've got to do is we've got to become, there's a scripture, I believe it's Revelation 10, that talks about an angel. And the Bible said he had one foot in the sea and one foot on the land. and God requires of us, we're natural people, but we're not to be carnally minded all the time. I know you got bills and the grass needs cutting, and I know the children need this and that, and that's all part of the natural world, but you don't just live in that world. You don't just walk on sidewalks and stuff. There is another world, and sometimes you can put on a scuba diving outfit and you can go under the ocean. I've done it several times in the ocean, and it's another whole world down there. I mean, I was up there on the beach, and I thought that was something.
15 But man, look at all this stuff down here. It's another whole world. That's exactly how it is in spiritual things. There is another world. I've stepped into it several times. When God called me to preach, I stepped into another world. I heard from headquarters my orders. And then when I stepped back in the natural world, I was, oh God, oh God. But I knew what I had experienced in that other world. Didn't have any money, didn't have any backing, didn't have anything except a God who called me in that other world. we need to know how to enter the other world. And it has to do with worship and it has to do with praise, the noise of praise.
10 Every generation, he said praise him from generation to generation. Every generation is supposed to generate something. is this generation generating praise like our forefathers did? I want to get into that world. I want to have a foot in both worlds. Hallelujah. That I can be normal and natural, but I also want a foot over the sea that spiritually speaking, if he's the living water, if the Holy Spirit is the water of life, I want a foot into the sea and I want a foot on the natural world. And I want to be able to slip in and back and forth as the anointing needs it. we're not just called to be people who get saved and just come to church we are to be spiritually led to be led by the holy spirit he may need you to be so sensitive that you can slip into that world at any moment that happens to be and I'm nothing special I will not have God on my mind thinking about nothing and some little thing may trigger me it's what happened to Elisha the Bible said that they had an emergency and everybody was thirsting to death and they came to the prophet and they said our animals are dying our children are dying we need water please pray to God that he'll give us water. And he didn't just, he didn't, he, he's just, he was overwhelmed with their, with their, with their situation. Matter of fact, he had just watched, he just watched 42 children get eaten by bears. If you read the previous chapter before, she bears, two of them came out and killed children because they were making fun of him and he was messed up.
07 He didn't feel, he didn't, he did not want to do a miracle, but he said, call for a minstrel. What's a minstrel? It's a singer, a musician, a psalmist. And when the Bible said, when the minstrel started playing the harp, the spirit of the Lord came on Elisha and he stepped into another world. And he said, dig ditches out in the desert. Dig ditches. Yes, because your supply is too small. Your demand is too small for God's supply. You need to make room for what God's about to do. And as soon as they dug the ditches, God sent so much rain that it filled ditches in the desert. you can step into another world. I'm going to preach this this morning because it's the truth. You don't have to stay carnal. You don't have to stay defeated.
01 You don't have to stay afraid. There is another realm. And when you get in his presence, it will fill you with courage and strength. There have been many water spouts that brought things from another world into our world. For example, in 2021 in Arkansas, Texarkana, it rained fish out of the sky. I said, people, you can go and check me out on all this later. But somebody was riding. The people were riding down the interstate and fish started coming out of the sky. And they were using their windshield wipers not to wipe the rain off fish. In 2010, in Australia, speckled perch fell on a whole town in the outback 500 miles away from the ocean.
58 In 2017, in Oregon, small fish. In Oregon, small fish fell from the sky. Honduras, fish fell in the fields while they were picking up tomatoes and cabbage and stuff. Here comes fish. They're throwing the fish in the basket too. This is not a strange thing. It happens. It doesn't happen all the time. This is important. It doesn't happen a lot. It's pretty rare.
29 And that's what I'm preaching this morning. It's not all the time that we're in the spirit realm and we're seeing this and seeing that. Don't get weird. but every now and then at Free Chapel we step into another world and you look around and cheer sometimes it's in those Sunday night prayer meetings but something, it's like something takes over that's beyond us. in uh in in europe europe coast european coastline this is funny they they had they had octopus falling out of the sky how would you like to just be walking down the street
17 In the Caribbean, they had a jellyfish outpouring. My God. In Canada, they had small and large frogs fly onto people. In 1982, only in Alabama, they had eels fall from the sky. Eels. I've heard of it raining cats and dogs, not frogs and eels. came from the water spout, which is a tornado over water that sucks up marine life into a vortex, takes it out and drops it.
03 There is a God in heaven who can open up the portal in heaven and bring things down to earth. At the noise of the water spouts, God's in the business of opening up the door to the supernatural, to his church and to his people. It doesn't happen every time. It doesn't happen all the time. But when there's a group of people who are making holy noise from their hearts, they're praising, they're hungry. They're like David. They're saying, my soul thirsts for something different this morning. I don't just need another preacher and another sermon and another service and another song. Something in me is so thirsty. Oh, deep calls to deep. And when you start yearning for a deep move of God, God says, I'll match that. I'll put a portal over that place. He inhabits the praises of his people. Turn to somebody and say, you can slip into another world where you're not full of anxiety and worry and stress. Jesus walked up to the woman at the well. I want you to see what I'm preaching about.
09 He walked up to the woman at the well in John chapter four, and he said, would you give me some water. And I love how Jesus just starts out conversational. He's just got one foot in the natural world. He's not, it is I. You know, he didn't do any of that. He just walks up and there's this Samaritan woman and he says, could I get a cup of glass of water from you, please? And she said, well, who are you? I am, I'm a Samaritan and I'm, your kind don't talk to me. I'm not in your league. Why would you? And Jesus is just talking. He's just conversing with her. And he says, you know, I need some water. I'm just thirsty. If you don't mind, give me some. And she said, well, I don't have, you don't have anything to dip with. What are you going to dip with?
00 And he said, I don't have anything. But if you knew, watch him now. If you knew who you were talking to, see, something's fixing the shift, right? here. They're having a normal, you ought to read it. It's several verses. I didn't have time to, if I had a lot of time, I'd read the whole thing. Cause it's just, he's just, he's so smart about his approach. He's just normal. All you trying to get your lost loved ones saved. If you quit being a weirdo, I've been fasting for you. If just fast, don't talk about it. Just fast.
31 Just be normal. but he's talking and he said, he said, and she said, I don't have, I don't have any man to help me and watch him, watch him now. He said, you have said, right, you've been married five times and the one you're living with is not your husband right now. Now I'm going to tell you something at that moment, a jellyfish hit her windshield.
00 plop. At that moment, something shifted in that woman. She stepped from the natural and suddenly he had her full attention because she recognized, I have stepped from one world and this is a holy man of God standing before me. And then what did he talk about? He said, your fathers worshiped in this mountain, but the hour cometh when the spirit seeketh them that will worship him. For God is a spirit, and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and truth. It goes back to what I was saying. The hinge to the ancient door of this mighty presence and supernatural power and signs and wonders. The hinge is praise.
56 That door hangs on. And that's why he's teaching her about worship. And in that moment, she stepped into another world. And when she did, her heart melted. Her sin suddenly was cleansed. And she runs to the city and she says, come see the man who told me all things which ever I ever have done. Come see him. I'm going to tell you something. If you start slipping into that other world when you're praying for your lost loved ones, God knows how to reach them. God knows how to touch them. God knows how to change them. I heard a story not too long ago. A preacher was telling it about a couple in his church. They came in and both of them were very lost and the husband got gloriously saved.
52 And the wife came down with him to the altar. But when the man went back, he was changed. You know, if you just walk down an aisle and pray a prayer and nothing changes in your lifestyle and your nature and your heart, you're not, you're not. You must be born again. It's not praying a word, a confession. It's you must be born again. And when you're born again, the old things pass away. and behold all things are new and anything in your life that you need to clean up you get it cleaned up And so the wife, she prayed and they left, but the man changed his behavior. And he wanted to go to church all the time. And he started going and she went for a little while and then she fell out and then she didn't like it. The man he was becoming, he loved God.
51 He lived the Bible. and she began to really get on him. I don't like that church and I don't want to go back to that church and he kept going by himself and finally one day she got up and she said, I'll go with you and she got in the car and they were on the way to church and they got in a huge fight and in the car, they were just fussing and fighting and out in the parking lot, not physically but verbally and she said to him, she said, these people in this church, you've lost your mind. and we don't go out and do what we used to do, and I just don't like this kind of life. You love the Lord, and that's all you want to talk about, and you love Jesus and all this. And she said this in the car before they got out. She said, I wish, I wish you would go to, I'd rather you go to the first church of Donald Duck.
52 then go to that old stupid church over there. and they got out of the car and walked into the church, and the Lord started moving in the praise and worship, and the preacher got up, and when he was preaching, he got to a place in his sermon where he got going, and he said, he said, he said, I don't care what church you're from. I don't care if you're Baptist. I don't care if you're Methodist. I don't care if you're Pentecostal, Presbyterian. I don't care if you're from the first church of Donald Duck. the wife looked at the husband. The husband looked at the wife. He said, I told you.
44 I told you God was in this house. And she started crying and grabbed his hand and said, let's go to the altar. You can make fun of this if you want to, but I wouldn't recommend it because God knows how to put a door in your life and put some people in your life to where you can slip from the natural world to the spiritual world. and you'll never thirst again. and I'm preaching to you today that every now and then, every now and then, you need a pop on your hood. You need to be so sensitive. There have been services that we've had right here.
40 That means piano player, whoever it is. I remember, I don't know why, but as I was studying this week, this story came to me. And I can't remember the man's name, but there are people here who would know the man's name. As far as I know, he's still alive. This was 20-something years ago. We had only been in this church a year or so. And we used to have at the end of the 21-day fast, we used to have what we call miracle service. Where we encouraged people on a Sunday night to bring their friends who needed a miracle. And we used to put chairs up here. Like we would have a chair over here, chair over here, chair over here, chair over there.
35 and we would say if we would put things up on the screen and the singers would worship. We did a live recording one time like this. I remember it. And this man came in. He was dying of cancer, leukemia.
58 And the doctors had done what they could do. And this man came in. And when we said that on the screen, and there were different chairs, and people were praying. We had elders, and they had oil, and they were anointing with oil while the worship was going up, while the worship team was just worshiping. And we would do this for, we said we'll pray for everybody who wants healing. We used to do this in this church. How many of you know I'm not, how many of you remember those days? Let me see your hand. Yeah, the rest of them are backslid or gone to heaven. Amen. And there was a man that came in here, and his son started attending this church, and he begged his daddy to come.
46 And we anointed that man with oil on this stage. And God healed him miraculously. And he was not necessarily against the church, but in those days, we had a lot of people that weren't friendly about us. he became one of the biggest defenders of free chapel because when he went back to the doctor, they said, it is gone, and we have no explanation. It is gone. Still alive. Still lives in this city unless he's passed in the last year or so. Son still attends this church. we slipped into another world. I felt that touch that night. I don't go by feelings.
42 I pray by faith. But I also know that there are atmospheres. And when you step into it, anything is possible. Now, I'll close this sermon with this. On the day of Pentecost, the Bible said the Holy Spirit filled that room and they stepped from a natural to a spiritual that birthed the church with supernatural power and they spoke with tongues as the Spirit gave the utterance. I want to read something to you out of 1 Corinthians chapter 14.
25 This is the Apostle Paul speaking about specifically when you're filled with the Holy Ghost, praying in tongues, what happens. Because I want you to hear me. I want you to hear me. I don't want what a denomination says. This is the first century church. this was written about 30 years after the resurrection of Jesus Christ he says in verse 2 for he who speaks in an unknown tongue the King James says, unknown tongue does not speak to men, but to God. Okay. So first of all, let's stop minimizing speaking in tongues as though it's some weirdo thing. He said, if you speak in tongues under the unction of the Holy spirit, you are not speaking to men. You have a direct line to God.
27 For no man understands him. Listen, how be it in the spirit. That's what I'm talking about into another world. He speaketh mysteries. And then in verse four, this is the apostle Paul, the great apostle Paul. He's instructing the church because they came to church and got into, they got carried away. And they were all speaking in tongues, the whole service and nobody understood. and all the people come in, we're all confused. And he's rebuking them and he's saying, this is for your personal edification. and it's better to prophesy than speak in tongues, because if you prophesy, you edify the church when you come together in a gathering. I pray in the Spirit every day of my life. I pray in tongues before I ever walk out here, but I don't get up and try to preach in tongues. What good would it do? It would bless me, but it wouldn't bless you.
26 So he says, he who speaks in an unknown tongue edifies himself. Edify means builds up spiritually. When you do this, when you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and speak in a praise and prayer language, a worship language, you build yourself up.
48 But he who prophesies edifies the church. Listen to what he says now in verse 5. I wish you all spoke with tongues. This is Paul, the man who wrote half the New Testament. And he said, I wish you all spoke with tongues, but rather that you prophesied. He's talking about when you come together. Because it's greater to prophesy than to speak with tongues because you edify the church. But it's good for you to pray. You speak mysteries. You don't even pray your will. You're praying. The spirit is praying through you to God.
30 I'm almost done. in verse 12 he said even so since you are zealous for spiritual gifts and edification of the church that you seek to excel listen to what he says in verse 18 i this is paul i thank my god i speak with tongues more than you all now finish it the next verse says yet in the church i'd rather speak Five words with my understanding. It's not either or. You can live, you live in a real world where people need to understand the truth of God's word. But at the same time, I live in a spiritual world where you can never understand what I'm praying because you can't talk Holy Ghost and I can't talk your Holy Ghost. We have a private code. We have a hotline to heaven.
25 yet in the church I'd rather speak five words this is not forbidding it this is not putting it down this is not belittling it this is very clearly saying five words in in your language is better than 10,000 in an unknown tongue if you're in a public assembly Wait. I promise I'm almost done, but it's Pentecost Sunday. Leave me alone. in Acts chapter 10, everybody say 10 years after the crucifixion. So, you know, it's like there's a real returning back to the first century church in the time that we're in. Well, if you're going to return back, you really need to return back to the upper room and the gift of the Holy Ghost and praying in the Spirit.
27 why do they why do denominations hide this listen to what it says in acts 10 and verse 44 he goes to the gentile's house peter and while peter was still speaking these words the holy ghost fell upon those who heard the word and those who were uh a circumcision believed and were astonished. Why were they astonished? Because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles. How did they know it had been poured out? The next verse, for they, this is 10 years after. So those who say, well, only the apostles, only the people in the upper room received the Holy Ghost. This is 10 years. This is irrefutable. Go check me out. This is 10 years after the crucifixion and resurrection. And they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God.
24 And then, I like the next verse, can anyone forbid water? That these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit. So they had received the gift of the Holy Ghost. They were praying in tongues, magnifying God. And then they got baptized in water. And he commanded they be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. and then they ask him to stay a few days. Can I give you one more?
50 Acts 19. Paul, go to Acts 19 and the one I did this morning. And he said unto them, have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed? Now these were disciples of John and he said they had been serving the Lord for many, many years. By the way, I got it written down. I want to get it right because it's important that I get it right.
18 Where is that at in this book? This was 30 years, 30 years after the crucifixion. 30 years. I said 50 in the first service. I was wrong. It was 30 years.
44 And he said unto them, have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed? And they said unto him that we're born again, but we have never so much heard. That's why they were already baptized. We have not so much heard that there be a Holy Ghost. Next verse. And he said unto them, unto what were you baptized? And they said, we're unto John's baptism. We're Baptists. and the next verse then said Paul John verily baptized you with the baptism of repentance that's great been baptized in water been born again you have the spirit that you can't get saved without the Holy Spirit but you've never been baptized in the Holy Ghost saying unto the people that they believe on him which should come after him that is on Christ Jesus next verse and when they heard this they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus next verse and when Paul laid his hands upon them the Holy Ghost came on them and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.
41 you're being robbed. You're being robbed of one of the greatest blessings. You're going to heaven by the blood of the lamb, but you need a foot to stand in the natural world and fight demons and devils and have power that overcomes the power of the enemy. You need one foot over the water and one foot on the land. And God says, I want to give you the Holy Spirit. I close with this. Jesus said, and I will send the comforter. I think it's John 16. He said, and I'll send you another comforter or a helper.
19 I'll pray the Father. Throw that up for me. So important people see that. But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he'll teach you all things. But he said, I will pray to the Father and he will send you the Holy Ghost. I really want to say thank you for joining us this week.
