Into The Dark Realm – Part 5
Jack Hibbs, 2026-10-07

… if it's packaged in the right package, people will believe it. We live in some pretty threatening days. But listen, in John chapter 16, verse 33, Jesus says, these things I have spoken to you that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer. I've overcome the world. Hallelujah, right? That's good news. So church, we've seen this together. You'll see it on the screens, but this is where we're at, and this is where we'll end tonight. Number one, this is what we're building upon. We've learned about what are the limits to the dark realm. What are the limits? We talked about that. We talked number two about who are those that are affected by the dark realm. That is the dark realm of demonic activity and the things that the Bible warns us about. Number three, we talked about the authority. What authority does Satan have within the dark realm? We talked about the powers last time that he has and the powers that he doesn't have. …

Into The Dark Realm – Part 4
Jack Hibbs, 2026-09-30

… we put on these encouraging bits of light. In John 16, verse 33, Jesus said, These things I have spoken to you, that in me, I love that, you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. Mark that down. In the world, Christian, you're going to have difficulty. You're going to have confusion. You're going to have hardship. you're going to have wars. You're going to have battles. I love our God. He tells us the truth, not to discourage us, but to actually encourage us. He says to that, be of good cheer. Why? I have overcome the world. That's what Jesus said. You can follow me in the midst of all the battles of life. Jesus said, be of good cheer because I've overcome the world. That's the answer. is, listen, church, listen, respond. Did Jesus die on the cross? Did Jesus rise from the dead? Then he said, be of good cheer because he's overcome the world. What's the proof? He left an empty tomb in Jerusalem and it's still empty there tonight. …

Peace Under Pressure FruitFull (Part 6)
Michael Todd, 2026-08-28

… peace that's a sunset or a meadow or all that, it's not going to happen. I came to tell you, and I love this because Jesus tells us, I want everybody to turn in your Bible to John 16 verse 33. And I'm going to read the second sentence because it says, it just tells us, hey, here on earth, this is Jesus talking. You will have many trials. How many trials? that's a whole bunch of them you're gonna have many trials at school with your family relationships you're gonna have many trials and you're gonna have sorrows but take heart because I've overcome the world now I don't know about you but if I was a disciple because that's who he was talking to and Jesus called us all over to have this huddle I'd be kind of frustrated at this meeting he would be like hey guys I want to tell you guys something hey in this life you're gonna have a whole bunch of troubles and sorrows. It's all good though. Take heart because your boy has already overcome the world. I got you. Take heart. Is that what you wanted to say? Is that what you caused us over here to tell us? I can't believe he always be doing his speaking in parables and then telling us to take heart. You just told us we're going to go through hell and we're supposed to take heart. I'm about to take a nap. Like I would have been that disciple. I would have been …

God’s Terrible, Swift Sword – Part 1
Robert Jeffress, 2026-08-17

… don't be surprised when you're called on to pay a price it costs you something to follow Jesus Christ Jesus said in John 16 33 in this world you will have tribulation but be of good courage for I've overcome the world. The apostle Peter said in first Peter four, brethren, don't be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come upon you for your testing as though some strange thing were happening to you. Don't be surprised when you stand up for your belief and you're persecuted. This world cannot stand to listen to anyone who is at odds with the culture, but I'd rather be at odds with the culture than at odds with God, wouldn't you? The Bible says you're going to pay a price for it. And certainly the greatest price will be giving your life as many will do during the tribulation time. There's a second vision that John saw, a warning to God's enemies and a blessing for God's people. Again, it begins with the phrase, and I saw. I want you to notice the four announcements that John hears. First of all, he sees and hears an announcement of the gospel. Look at verses six and seven. And I saw another angel flying in mid heaven, having an eternal gospel to preach to those who live on the earth and to every nation and tribe and tongue and people. I don't understand it, but John says he saw an angel flying through mid heaven, throughout the earth, proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ …

… his followers the day before he went to the cross. And in the midst of that upper room moment where the Garden of Gethsemane is just right there and Golgotha is here, Jesus says, I've told you these things so that in me you may have peace. Now it's important that you understand Jesus isn't sitting under an olive tree on a spring day with an iced tea in his hand giving this message. he's hours away from being crushed to death yet he says i've told you these things so that in me we'll come back to this you may have peace in this world or in life you will have trouble. Can we just say, I got it? Our message is not follow Jesus, trust in him, and life's gonna be a bed of roses from there on out. That is not the Christian message. That is not the human message. That is not reality. Jesus is not promising us a trouble-free life. In fact, on the contrary, he's telling us you're going to have trouble. …

… Of whom shall I be afraid? John chapter 16 verse 33 he then gives us this text he says I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace peace not chaos but peace in this world you will have trouble but take heart I have come so that you might overcome the world why because we got it like that. He gives us Romans eight chapter 30, uh, chapter, uh, chapter eight, verse 31. He says, what then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who, who can be against us? And then another passage or text that pastor gives us, um, is Romans chapter eight, verse 37. Um, in all of these things, we are more than conquerors through him who has loved us through Christ Jesus. And what I love about these passages is that really, take a screenshot. If you're watching online, take a screenshot of this right now. If you're in the room, take a picture of it. …

WHY DO BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE?
Ed Young Jr., 2026-06-28

… I would say to start off I always say faith for the miracle right that's a starting spot but if he doesn't heal Jesus has a promise in John 16 33 and he says in this life you will face trouble but take heart for I have overcome the world and what does he mean by overcome that means at the cross, he overcame it in the grave. He rose again. And now he gives us a hope in eternity that we are tethered to for the rest of this life, no matter what you face, no matter what you're going through. Job said it. He said, hey, you give and take away. My heart will choose to say, blessed be your name, because he realized God was the creator of all things. And the creator is taking us from this place, which is temporal to eternity, which is forever. Yes. So good. What would you say just and wrapping up as a word of encouragement to anyone who might be just reflecting on the loss of a child or going through intense pain now with the diagnosis, a relationship, a lost job, whatever their pain might be to whatever degree it might be, what would be your encouragement? When Milo was diagnosed, my sister-in-law was pregnant with her son, my nephew. And Milo passed and we still, you know, there's still life giving and taking. …

When You Don’t Know What To Do
Guest speaker, 2026-06-24

… and there's gonna be hard days ahead. Said it in John 16, verse 33. Jesus said, these things I've spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, that is, as long as you live on this side of heaven, you will have tribulation. But be of good cheer, I have overcome the world, Jesus says. I love the fact that Jesus doesn't hide from it. Because you don't have to wonder when difficulties come into your life if you've done something wrong. Now listen, if you're being a knucklehead, just like I've been before, and you're doing something you shouldn't be doing and you're suffering the consequences of it, then repent of that, turn from it and get back to God. But just because difficulty's happening in your life, it does not mean you're in sin. Jesus affirms that even the believer in God will have troubles. In fact, he guarantees it. The question I hope to answer today is what do you do when that tribulation comes upon you? …

2 Thessalonians 1
Skip Heitzig, 2026-05-20

… tribulations, the tribulations they were getting, plural, was the tribulation from the world. Every Christian goes through that. Jesus said in the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer. I have overcome the world. You're going to get tribulation. The source of these tribulations is from the world. The source of the great tribulation is not from the world. It's from the Lord. The great tribulation is God pouring out his wrath upon the earth. but you're getting it from the world. You're getting persecuted and you're getting tribulations. So stay under it. Let patience have its perfect work. some of you need this word tonight you need a holy toughness let's call it a holy toughness tough it out learn the lesson stay put which verse 5 is manifest or evident shown is manifest evidence of the righteous judgment of god that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of god for which you also suffer since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you and to give you who are troubled rest with us. When? When the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels. …

… I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble, but take heart, I have overcome the world. Notice he didn't say might. Notice he didn't say possibly. He said you will have trouble. But then he gives us the promise of his presence in the midst of brokenness. God breaks us to make us into something new. Isaiah 64 tells us, I am the potter, you are the clay. If he breaks us, it's in order to make us into what he needs us to be. Charles Spurgeon said it like this, whenever God means to make a man great or a woman great, he always breaks him into pieces first. He can pick up all your pieces and put you back together much better than you started. You can't have the same issues going into the next season of life. It's time for you to move forward from that trauma. It's time for you to let him break open some wounds that you've always just kept the band-aid on. …

God's Plan = Jesus
Michael Zeigler, 2025-07-19

… but another passage of Scripture that's become special to her, John 16.33, which we'll talk about in a moment. Bethany still likes Jeremiah 29.11, but she also agrees that it's sometimes taken out of context. Christians sometimes seem to hear the promise, I know the plans I have for you, as though God were addressing them as a singular individual, like God's a professional sports agent or something, and God is saying to them, I've got big plans for you. I'm going to open doors for you to achieve your dreams and win big and become famous and the like. but that is not the context of Jeremiah. First of all, the you is plural. It's not singular. God says, I know the plans I have for you all or all y'all as they say in Texas. And the you all is a specific group of people, the people of Israel, the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And the plans God has for them are bigger than personal fame. The plans God has for them are more lasting than personal prosperity. The plan God has for them is nothing short of saving the whole universe. A plan that was set in motion from the first book of the Bible when God promised to the first woman, Eve, and to her husband, Adam, that a son, a king, a messiah would come from their offspring. And this promised son would crush the head of the serpent, the devil who had deceived them, turned them away from God on a me-centered path, …

… Jesus said to his disciples in John 16.3, He said, I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble, but take heart. I have overcome the world. You see, peace is not the absence of problems in your life. Jesus said, in this world you will have trouble. So trouble is the common denominator of every person who has breath in their lungs. Peace is the addition of power to whatever trouble you're in. So before we go any further, I need to clear up exactly what kind of peace I'm talking about. I'm not talking about a mood or a mental state where everything feels well. I'm not talking about a spa or a vacation spot. I'm not even talking about a quiet Saturday morning in your slippers while everyone else is asleep, because I don't know what your life is like, but if I have to wait for those moments, if I have to wait for that kind of peace, I'm not going to have a very peaceful life. Now, there are two types of peace in the Bible that we find. There's external peace, and then there's internal peace. External peace refers to your relationships with others. …

#Black 2 The Future Youth Revival Day 1
Christopher Stevenson, 2020-08-28

… Okay, so for the verse or basically the text that I'm going to be coming from, I'm going to be coming from John 16, verse 33. John 16, verse 33. And for me, since I like to get a little bit deeper into what I'm saying, I'm going to be reading from King James and also the New International Version. So here's the King James Version. So it goes, These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. So that's the King James Version. Now let's get into the New International Version. So in the New International Version it says, I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have trouble, but take heart. I have overcome the world. So basically what I want to really talk about, I really want to get into a motivational piece, if that makes sense. I really want to get into a very intimate spot with you because in this text it says a lot. And the first thing it says in this text is that I have spoken. God, let me give you a little background of this text. This text is basically Jesus is telling his disciples that I'm finna get crucified and this is kind of the game plan. This is what I need you to do. So what I'm telling you today is that God has spoken. …
