Thank God Im Free | Chad Veach
Chad Veach, 2026-08-02

So the Bible says it is for freedom that Christ has set you free. Don't go back to that old life. Watch what he says here in John chapter 8, verses 31 and 32. He says this, and I love this scripture so much. Put it on the screen. He says in John 8, 31, if you continue in my word, you will know the truth and the truth will what? Set you free. There it is. If you continue in my word, that's why. Just let me see your hand. If you are planning on doing 21 days of prayer and fasting with us, let me see your hand if you're doing it. If you didn't raise your hand, we're judging. Come on. But we are. during the fast, I want to encourage you to not just deny yourself from food, but feed yourself on the word. He said, if you continue in my word, you will know the, what was that word? Truth. And the truth will set you. You do not need what politicians or public figures have to say about life issues. You need the living, breathing Word of God to set you free on every issue. I feel like preaching to somebody that needs to understand what the Word says so the Word can set you free. Freedom is received, and then it is learned. I learn freedom. I learn truth. I learn the teachings of Jesus. I learn what the promises of God. As I learn it, then I fight for it. I will be generous. I will be a bridge builder. I will carry the peace …

Reasons for Rejection │ Msg 5/14
Chuck Swindoll, 2026-07-07

… You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. But we are descendants of Abraham, they said. We have never been slaves to anyone. What do you mean, you will be set free? Jesus replied, I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin. A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son is part of the family forever. So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free. As that dialogue continued, the people began to insult Jesus. We see that in verse 48. The people retorted, You Samaritan devil! Didn't we say all along that you were possessed by a demon? No, Jesus said. I have no demon in me, for I honor my father, and you dishonor me. And though I have no wish to glorify myself, God is going to glorify me. He is the true judge. I tell you the truth, anyone who obeys my teaching will never die. …

… You can't hinder me. You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. Lay hands on somebody and say free. You gonna be free. You're going to be free in your body, free in your finances, free in your circumstances, free in your situations. You're going to be free in your going in and free in your coming out. You're going to be free like you've been waiting on it a long time. See, when you've been held down a long time and you finally do get loose, you don't care who's talking about you. You don't care who's tweeting about you. You don't care who's talking about you. I want to talk to somebody that's been bound a long time. But you feel the anointing rising up in your soul. I want you to jump up and holler free. Free, free, free. Free, free, free, free. My body is, my soul is, my finances are, my mind is, my job is, my company is, my college is. …

The Power of Knowing the Truth
John K. Jenkins Sr., 2026-04-16 · Scripture reading

… I thought they knew it by heart. It says, you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. Knowing truth makes you free. Knowing truth is so important to us. In this building, we have 44 classrooms. In the ministry center, we have 44 classrooms. Amen. And some of y'all ain't been in one. I am, I'm telling you. We want you to know the truth. When you know the truth... When you get a hold of the truth, you make choices to line up with God's will for your life. When you know the truth, and when you line up your life with the will of God and the Word of God, it changes your life. Amen. Now, I'm going to give you seven areas of truth that we focus on. I'm just giving you this. All of these can be expounded upon, but I'm just going to give you these seven areas. As a matter of fact, these seven truths is what our church is built on. …

… and you can see immediately how massively essential it is for life and ministry, especially Christian life in ministry. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free, John 8. Another word for knowing is having insight, right? You will have insight into The truth and that insight into truth will make you a free person from sin. Satan. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. that is lack of insight into the reality of God. Your people die. Your people die without insight. His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness. How? Through the knowledge of Him. Insight into God. Through the knowledge of Him who called us to His own glory and excellence. 2 Peter 1.3 Insight into God is the channel by which divine power for godliness flows to the soul. That's what 2 Peter says. So not surprisingly, the Bible pleads with us over and over, get insight. Proverbs 4, get wisdom, get insight. Do not forget, do not turn away from the words of my mouth. …

16 Ounces To The Pound - Jonathan Pickens
Jonathan Pickens, 2025-12-18

… you will experience the truth and the truth will set you free. Jesus is saying, I'm truth, my word's truth. And our responsibility as believers is to cling to his word and put ourselves in submission to it, not to be judged over it, picking and choosing what we live by. But he also says that he's the life. That's why outside we've got a light bulb wall that says Jesus is life. Because when people find an experience the all satisfying good news of what it means to belong to Jesus, you get to put a light bulb in the Jesus life while signifying that you've gone from death to life. Because you've come alive in him and you know that nothing can satisfy the quench in your soul like he can. There's not a lot of good things that can help satisfy you. He says, I'm the only thing. I'm the life. no other substitute will satisfy. And you say, you can listen to that if you're reading it correctly, like me, I'm trying to listen and make sense of this. …

Teach the Word
David Platt, 2025-11-05

… is a theme that's over and over again repeated. And His Word is constantly equated with truth. Remember John 8, 32? You will know the truth and the truth will set you free. That whole passage is framed in the fact that His Word is truth, equating His Word with truth. And so what He says to these guys is, I have given them your words, Father. I have given them your truth. I have entrusted it to them. The implications for disciple making are huge. Jesus is saying here, don't miss it, that all the truth you have entrusted to me, I have perfectly and completely passed on to them. I've not added to it. I've not taken away from it. I haven't said, you know, Father, you should have added a few things here. Let me give us more help to make sure they get it. No, he said, all the truth you've given to me, I've given them your word. And that's exactly what disciple making is about. It's about us saying, folks, we have been entrusted with truth, with the very words of Almighty God. …

Guarding Your Family From Digital Danger
Craig Groeschel, 2025-11-02

… He came for people like me, he came for people like you. And when you know the truth, the truth will set you free. And when you know the truth, the truth will set you free. And when you know the truth, the truth will set you free. So Jesus, we thank you that you are the truth. And we ask God that you would speak to us. God, just can we be open to what you wanna say and show us in these areas of our lives? God, convict us of any sin, any area that's just unwise, foolish, and lead us into life everlasting. Today at all of our churches and those of you online, here's what I'm gonna ask you to do. I'm gonna ask you if you would just pray, and I'm not gonna give you any specific assignment, but just pray and ask God to speak to you about what's your next step. I have two problems on my device. One is a game that I play when I'm bored and I get sucked into it. …

FULL |GRACE WINS AGAIN | Chad Veach
Chad Veach, 2025-11-02

… Oh, I love that. Watch John chapter eight, verse 32. Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. So how do you get freedom? Think about this. He says to this woman, all right, well then neither do I condemn you. Jesus did not come into the world to condemn the world. John chapter three says he came into the world to save the world. How can you save what you condemn? He says, I didn't come to condemn you. I came to save you. And then it says, he said, he told her, go and live and step away from your life of sin, from your lifestyle. This was not the first time she'd been caught. It's the first time she got caught and was put in public. Look, this is in our era like somebody getting slandered and publicly shamed on social media. The whole town knew what she did. And Jesus says, I accept you. I love you. But I refuse to leave you this way. …

Paper Walls, Part 3 - "Free to See"
Andy Stanley, 2025-09-19

… you're gonna know the truth and the truth will set you free. it will set you free to, ready for this? To see, to see, to see yourself the way God sees you. To see your potential the way God sees your potential. To see your family the way that God sees your family. To see God the way that God really is. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall, ready for this, they shall, there it is again, they shall see God. Jesus says, I'm the light of the world and I'm not in some just big intangible ethereal way. I wanna be the light of your world and if you follow me, you will discover the truth and the truth will set you free. And you will begin to see your paper walls for exactly what they are. And do you know how his audience then responds to this amazing statement? They begin making excuses. It's unbelievable. Here's what the Pharisees and the teachers of the law say because they're trying to make sure the people don't follow Jesus. …

Hearers and Doers (James 1:19-25)
John MacArthur, 2023-08-20

… It's freedom. Jesus said also you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free so we are the people of the book and if you're a part of grace church you understand that you know that we've been talking about that the last few weeks all that God wants to say to his church he has put inside the pages of the Bible. And so this is where we go for everything. We hear His Word, we understand His Word, we obey His Word, we proclaim His Word, and we rejoice in that and are blessed. And it's how we express our love to Him. So come back with me to James, chapter 1. And James is going to give us a simple, very sort of primer lesson on how to listen to the Scripture. You hear a lot of people in recent years talking about listening to the voice of God, trying to hear God. I'll make it real simple. If you want to hear God speak, open your Bible, because that's where you'll hear Him speak. …

Free at Last
Charles Stanley · Scripture reading

Jesus therefore said, When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and I do nothing on my own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught me. And He who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him. Isn't that a tremendous thought? I always do the things that are pleasing to Him. As He spoke these things, many came to believe in Him. Jesus therefore was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, Watch this. If you abide in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine, and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. They answered Him. We are Abrahams of spring. and have never yet been enslaved to anyone, how is it that you say, you shall become free? Jesus answered them, truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin, and the slave does not remain in the house forever, the son does remain forever. …

… If you abide in My Word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. They answered him, We are Abraham's descendants and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can you say you will be made free? Jesus answered them, Most assuredly, I say to you, Whoever commits sin is a slave of sin, and the slave of sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore, if the son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. I know that you are Abraham's descendants, but you seek to kill me because my word has no place in you. I speak what I have seen with my father, and you do what you have seen with your father. And they answered and said to him, Abraham is our father. Jesus said to them, if you were Abraham's children, you would do the works of Abraham. But now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. …
