Titus 3

1Remind the believers to submit to rulers and authorities, to be obedient and ready for every good work,Remind them to be in subjection to rulers and to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work,Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,Put them in mind to be in subjection to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready unto every good work, 2to malign no one, and to be peaceable and gentle, showing full consideration to everyone.to speak evil of no one, not to be contentious, to be gentle, showing all humility toward all men.To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.to speak evil of no man, not to be contentious, to be gentle, showing all meekness toward all men. 3For at one time we too were foolish, disobedient, misled, and enslaved to all sorts of desires and pleasures—living in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. For we were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. For we also once were foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another. 4But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared,But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward mankind appeared,But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,But when the kindness of God our Saviour, and his love toward man, appeared, 5He saved us, not by the righteous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.not by works of righteousness which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;not by works done in righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6This is the Spirit He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior;Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;which he poured out upon us richly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7so that, having been justified by His grace, we would become heirs with the hope of eternal life.that being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.that, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. 8This saying is trustworthy. And I want you to emphasize these things, so that those who have believed God will take care to devote themselves to good deeds. These things are excellent and profitable for the people. This saying is faithful, and concerning these things I desire that you insist confidently, so that those who have believed God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men; This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.Faithful is the saying, and concerning these things I desire that thou affirm confidently, to the end that they who have believed God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men: 9But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, arguments, and quarrels about the law, because these things are pointless and worthless.but shun foolish questionings, genealogies, strife, and disputes about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.but shun foolish questionings, and genealogies, and strifes, and fightings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. 10Reject a divisive man after a first and second admonition,Avoid a factious man after a first and second warning,A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;A factious man after a first and second admonition refuse; 11knowing that such a man is corrupt and sinful; he is self-condemned.knowing that such a one is perverted and sinful, being self-condemned.Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.knowing that such a one is perverted, and sinneth, being self-condemned. 12As soon as I send Artemas or Tychicus to you, make every effort to come to me at Nicopolis, because I have decided to winter there. When I send Artemas to you, or Tychicus, be diligent to come to me to Nicopolis, for I have determined to winter there. When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter. When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, give diligence to come unto me to Nicopolis: for there I have determined to winter. 13Do your best to equip Zenas the lawyer and Apollos, so that they will have everything they need.Send Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey speedily, that nothing may be lacking for them.Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them.Set forward Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them. 14And our people must also learn to devote themselves to good works in order to meet the pressing needs of others, so that they will not be unfruitful.Let our people also learn to maintain good works to meet necessary needs, that they may not be unfruitful. And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful. And let our people also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful. 15All who are with me send you greetings. Greet those who love us in the faith. Grace be with all of you.All who are with me greet you. Greet those who love us in faith. Grace be with you all. Amen. All that are with me salute thee. Greet them that love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Amen. It was written to Titus, ordained the first bishop of the church of the Cretians, from Nicopolis of Macedonia. All that are with me salute thee. Salute them that love us in faith. Grace be with you all.
