21 our prayer website. It is set up wonderfully. That is where you'll find the prayer schedule every single day while we're in this season of prayer. In fact, there's a daily devo, a daily devotion that you can hop on, click a link and have your diva time of prayer on just a few minutes. There's also a prayer wall. Yeah, a prayer wall on that prayer website and you can make your requests known. And if you click the watch button, There's a little watch button icon there when you get to the prayer wall and it says watch. And it's it's what that does is it allows you to watch the prayer wall. And whenever a prayer comes up on the wall, you can pray immediately for that.

19 You can click it and you can pray and you can click. Amen. I just prayed with you. So please take advantage of all these men and women of God who are praying. Um, so head over to the prayer website. It's a daily devos prayer wall, everything you need to help you, um, have a very impactful season of prayer. Okay. Are you with me? Prayer warriors. Are you with me? Let me see some thumbs up. Yep. I see hand claps. You got it. Amen. Okay. Well, can you, can you give me a drum roll or let me do the drum roll? So drum roll, y'all. I want to introduce our prayer warrior for today. She is none other than Mother Annie Darton. She's a preacher. She's a teacher. She's been a member of our church for years. She's worked on us. She is just an amazing, amazing example of things to be a disciple and not just a disciple, y'all.

30 She's dynamic. Won't you help me welcome Mother Annie? Hey, Mother Annie. Oh, First Lady. How are you? I am good. I am good and you looking beautiful. Well, thank you. I'm so excited to be here with the men and women of God. Joining you on Monday and Tuesday. So I'm just waiting to see what God's going to do today. Yes. Yes. You know, mother, I've really been strategic about who has been presenting, doing the daily devos and who's been presenting this week. And when I thought about who could come and give us a principle that could change the trajectory of our prayer life, you came to my mind. Glory.

22 you've just been a tremendous example when you think about prayer what do you think is the biggest struggle um what keep can keep God from answering our prayers well when we think about not staying close you know to God so that we can hear him not spending that time with God because God is always hearing. Real not listening. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Not just to speak or communicate. God does want to hear. But we have to also listen. Listen to him. How do you practice listening? How do you practice listening? Like when you're praying, how do you, how do you practice listening? I think it's the time when you just sit down, you're meditating. You can take a scripture and you're meditating on that particular scripture and you have a quiet time.

23 You know, you have to put your cell phone away. You got to turn the TV off. Come on now. And so that you can hear God. So we're not hearing from here. Right. Good. Yeah. Good, good, good. Amen. Amen. Mother, that's why you on here. That's why you were in here giving us all these nuggets. If you're sharing a principle with us today, I asked you to come share a principle that really changed your prayer life. Can you share, what would that be? I'm so glad you asked. My principle is sum up in one word and that word is patience. Ah, patience. Patience. I'm quite sure that patience is one of those areas we all have experienced the lack of. I remember hearing people say, don't ask or don't pray for patience, because if you, then you're going to have some adversities. You're going to have some trouble, right?

27 And I was probably one of the ones that said it back in the day, because that's what happens. And it's true. How can you know you have, if you're not tested in that area? So I like to talk a few minutes on patience because we don't have to pray for patience. I'm going to say that again. Don't have to pray for patience. Why say that? Because Galatians 5 and 22 tells us that patient is a fruit, right? Of the spirit. So when we accept that Christ in our lives, the Holy Spirit takes up residence and he produces what? The fruit of the spirit. And that's where we find long suffering in the King James and the New King James. But the Greek translation for long sufferings is what? Patience.

19 And if we say that, then we have, it's in our spiritual DNA. We have patience. However, we need to be able to develop that patience. And patience actually is the ability to endure. You know, we don't have patience. We don't want to endure. We want things right now. And so, but patience is the ability to endure, to persevere through whatever the process or whatever we're going through. And we do it, First Lady. We have to do it without complaining. We have to do it without being angry with God. We have to do it without giving up hope and being able to remain faithful. Why? Because God is faithful. Patient will tell us how to get through the process, right? It's trusting God.

15 God who knows all things about us. It's about his timing. Here comes the patient. Really, we need it. It's about God's timing. It's about his timing to respond. And I like that word, his. Why? Because it's a possessive pronoun. It belongs to God. It's not your timing. It's not. It's all about God's time. Oh, we need to let go and let God be in control. You know, we used to hear people say he may not come when he want when we want him. But what? He's always on time and he may not even bring the answer we want. But that's where our trust come in. And he is. And we go through because he is producing something in us. perseverance produces character and the character brings out what hope so if we say we have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit dwells in us we can have we have patience we just need to develop it and so while we're going through life circumstances you might going through sickness you maybe some financial issues family related issues divorce job co-workers, whatever that those issues might be, we need to pray, not for patients, because we already have it, ask God to develop, hallelujah, develop what's already in us, it's in our spiritual what? DNA. So I want you to take three things, I want to leave three things with them, First Lady, that you can transform your life, and you won't be stressful, and pulling out your hair. Oh my, I don't want to pull out my hair and be stressful and have anxiety. We don't have to go through that. God never intended for us to go through that. So three things, ladies and gentlemen, first thing, going right back to Galatians 5.2, as believers, you

23 and me, we have been empowered through the Holy Spirit with patience. You got already know that, right? And all we have to do is rest in it. Rest in knowing that you have been empowered. That's number one. So you don't have to be worried, right? Number two comes out of Psalm 37, verse seven. As believers, we are encouraged to wait, not worryingly, but patiently for the Lord. do not whine you know we can whine because God is not coming I'm praying and I pray no do not whine and do not agonize over the situation and then don't look at other people to say well she's prospering he's prospering you and God is between the two and your relationship with God Knowing that you can have the right attitude because you trust God.

27 That's a key word right there. And lastly, knowing you're empowered, also that you ought to be encouraged to wait on the Lord. Not worry. And that comes from 6 and 7, right? Be anxious. In other words, don't worry. Don't be troubled about anything. everything by prayer and supplication with what? I hear you. Thanksgiving. Let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God that surpasses what? All understanding. He will guard your heart and your mind. But you know what? I have to add one more verse to that in terms of do not worry. It comes out of Matthews, the chapter six, verses 31 and 33. Why are we worrying what to wear? Why are we worrying what to eat? Why are we worrying what to drink? The word of God says those things. And then the 33rd says, but now you know what our pastor says about, but when God put that button, that means something else is going to follow. But seek ye first the King and his righteousness and all these things shall be added. I know when the scriptures use verbs.

55 Verbs are normally, I know we got state of being, and here's my English teaching, right? But I'm talking about the action verse. Most words are action. And sometimes, like in this scripture, it doesn't have a subject. So that means you can add your name. But that means it's an action that means something has to be done. Somebody got to do something, right? So why don't you have to worry? God said, seek. Annie, seek. Yeah. For God and all his righteousness. So those are the three things I want you to take away. Be empowered. Yeah. Be encouraged and do not worry. Let patient takes is working in us. God is doing something. So in a bottom line, the bottom line is as you pray, allow the peace of God, anxiety, replace your stress, stressfulness. replace it with patience the patience of God who had already given you everything that you need to live a godly life and a life without worrying amen amen amen mother y'all see what I had in here hallelujah thank you thank you so much that patient trust no need to worry just learn to I like how you said it's in us. It's in us. Just act on it. And you know what, mother?

31 There was a question here. Someone said they overthink stuff in their mind and then they're trying to figure out what is God and what is them. I think you just spoke to that. What do you say? Amen. No, you know, we need the peace of God. You can know you have the peace of God when things begin to work in place. In other words, we're doing this, we're struggling because we're not sure. We don't know the voice of God. We have to learn the voice of God so that we won't be going back and forth. So when God speaks, we hear it. And we can do like, oh gosh, in the Old Testament, when Samuel told, oh my gosh, what's, not Samuel when the prophet told I'm getting it all mixed up now but he told this child the child I think it was Samuel that says you know when you hear the voice when you hear the when you hear the the the lord speaking again just says lord that servant heareth thee yeah I'm getting it all no you're right that's what the prophet said and so we have this that's what happens to me sometimes um well when i'm i'm in my prayer time i'm gonna say oh yeah lord i hear you but when we hear it do we act on it that's that right the act yeah yeah and then wait patiently pray god that's great mother that's excellent y'all being helped y'all being helped you've really mother everything you said you've answered these questions that have come in how to cultivate faith you better how to cultivate this patience trials will help you get it and you have to replace the worrying with worship good the worship because the enemy you we're human you know he's gonna bother you're gonna you know he wants to frustrate us to think that that god doesn't hear us but i know first john 5 and 14 said god hears our prayers

42 yes again right yes so don't let the devil fool you that he doesn't hear just if he says not yet wait on him there's a reason
