Joel Osteen, 2026-08-19

… He was telling us there will be seasons where you have to stand strong and really fight the good fight of faith But a few verses later in the same chapter he said my yoke is easy and my burden is light He was saying there will be times of struggle pressure Difficulties, but don't get discouraged. That's not permanent what i'm putting on you my yoke. It's easy. It's light You may be struggling now. You feel pressured. You think that's the way it's always going to be You'll always struggle with your health struggle in a relationship struggle in your finances No, you're going to come in to an anointing of ease And when you come into this ease what once was a struggle won't be a struggle anymore You're going to have a supernatural grace a favor that will lighten the load and take the pressure off God is going to make your life easier. He said he would go before you and make your crooked places straight. That means he's going to smooth things out. You're coming into a season where things are going to fall into place. The Anointing of Ease | Joel Osteen
Joel Osteen, 2026-08-14

… and thinking that's the way it's always going to be. Jesus said, my yoke is easy and my burden is light. There's something called the anointing of ease. When you step into this anointing, what was difficult all of a sudden becomes easy. Things you used to struggle with are not a struggle anymore. There's a supernatural grace, a favor that lightens the load and takes the pressure off. A gentleman told how he had struggled in his business month after month. It was very slow and he had been tracking every lead and beating down every door with no success. Looked like it would go under. Looked like he wouldn't survive. But at the last minute, this new client called him. This company actually searched him out. Today, they're his biggest account. Things have totally turned around. He's having a banner year in spite of the economy. What happened? He stepped in to that anointing of ease. what he couldn't make happen on his own, God made happen for him. …

The Lies We Believe
Pastor Nick Macedo, 2026-05-27

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I'm gentle and lowly in heart. You will find rest for your souls, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light. It's still a burden and it's still something we have to trust. In the first century, rabbis would refer to their teaching as a yoke. And if you were a Jew choosing a rabbi and then the rabbi, you were good enough that the rabbi chose you back. All right. That's the beauty of Jesus is he's whosoever King James version. Okay. Any King James people in the house tonight? Raise your hand. Let me see you. Yes. Okay. Everyone gets down on it, but whosoever is in there. All right. And so that's good translation. Whosoever by the time of Christ, what would happen is a rabbi would choose the best of the best students. It'd be like getting into an Ivy League PhD school, okay? And I know nothing about that, obviously. So this is what would take place. …

God’s Got You | Pastor Holly Furtick | Elevation Church
Pastor Holly Furtick, 2026-05-10 · Scripture reading

… and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. At that time, Jesus went through the grain fields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick some heads of grain and eat them. When the Pharisees saw this, they said to him, look, your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath. He answered, haven't you read what David did when he and his companions were hungry? He entered the house of God and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for them to do, but only for the priests. Or haven't you read the law that the priests on the Sabbath duty in the temple desecrate the Sabbath yet are innocent? I tell you that something greater than the temple is here. If you had known what these words meant, I desire mercy, not sacrifice. You would not have condemned the innocent for the son of man is Lord of the Sabbath. …

Jesus People - Vision Weekend
Pastor Nate Heitzig, 2026-03-08

… Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart. And you will find rest for your souls, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light. That is the simple joy of following Jesus. That is what an unbelieving world longs for. That is what people are searching for when it says that people are interested and curious in the spiritual. Do you know what they're looking for? It's like that USA Today article says they've come to an end of their emotional resources. They are burdened. They are weary. They are longing for something more. They're longing for a joy and a peace that doesn't come from a new sexual relationship or a new conquest or the last party that we're at the week before or some new chemical addiction. They're looking for something different, something that lasts, something that satisfies. They're looking for release from their weariness, release from their burdens to take the heavy yoke of this world and sin off of their shoulders and find the humility and grace of Jesus Christ. …

… Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. And so, Lord Jesus, I pray that we would all come to you, that we would find rest in you, that you would give us the discipline, that you would give us the wisdom to do what we know we need to, even when we don't feel like it, so we could experience you in a new way, that you could shape us into new people, so that this upcoming year would be better than the year that came before. We pray all of this in your name. Amen and amen. Thank you.

… He said, cast all your cares on him for he loves you. And he said, my yoke is easy and my burden is light. So cast all, cast all, come unto me, all you who are weary, all of you who are heavy. All of you who've been through stuff and it's so heavy and some of you are carrying burdens. Just leave that up a moment. You're carrying burdens for your children and you're carrying burdens in your life and you're carrying burdens, health burdens and financial burdens. Come unto me. This is God's invitation. I don't want you to carry it. I don't want you to work harder. I don't want you to try harder to fix it. I don't want you to do, I want you to bring the heavy burdens. Bring it to me, the stuff you cry about, the stuff you worry about. Bring it to me, all you who are laboring and heavy laden, and I'll give you rest. Take my yoke. Learn from me. …

… is a lie. Jesus said, take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light. The Bible says the way of the transgressor is hard. I don't mean there's no discipline in being a Christian. I don't mean that at all. I don't mean there's no hardness in being a Christian. Yes, we're to endure hardness as good soldiers of Jesus Christ. But as far as the labor, the grueling, gruesome toil, that comes with sin. There's so many people who are making this desperate effort to try to put things back together. The old devil has lied to you. But not only do dreams dissolve, and not only does work increase, but resources are wasted. Look, if you will, in verses 18 and following, and being exceedingly tossed with the tempest. The next day they lightened the ship. What does that mean? They started throwing stuff overboard. And the third day we cast out with our own hands the tackling of the ship. Why, they're just dumping things into the ocean. And then look in verse 20, and when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared and no small tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was taken away. But after a long abstinence, Paul stood forth in the midst of them and said, Sirs, you should have hearkened unto me. …
