… Thank you, Dick. Matthew, chapter 15, verse 25 through 27. Amen. Ladies, next Sunday, we want a thousand women at this altar praying. How many of you all know that prayer still changes things? It's still... How many of you all know there is no instance in the Bible where God didn't answer a woman's prayer? Amen. Every time you find a woman praying in the Bible, God answered that prayer. And I'm believing God's going to answer the prayer of some woman standing around you today. God's going to do that. Matthew 15, 25 through 27. Would you read silently? No, let's read it together. He replied. is bless the lord would you go back uh go back to verse 25 for me please go to 26. thank you let's read together verse 26 Verse 27. Bless the Lord. I think you could hear this in many ways, but I think that one accurate way is to hear this woman through this lens. Basically, she's essentially saying, I'm willing to receive from you whatever you are willing to give to me. even the even the dogs eat the scraps that fall from the master's table i'm willing to receive from you whatever you're willing to give to me so if it's scraps that's great i'll receive that i'll receive them from your hands and this is the thing we have to know faith so often is nothing more than trust faith so often is just we use the term surrender and when i say surrender we say surrender, we don't mean giving up. What we mean is, I will accept whatever you're willing to let me have. That's the kind of faith, that's the kind of, when Jesus looks at her and says, that's great faith. He said, I'm willing to accept, I'm willing to receive from you whatever you're willing to give to me. …
… drive the demon out of her daughter. First, let the children eat all they want. He told her, for it is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to dogs. Lord, she replied, even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs. Then he told her, for such a reply, you may go. The demon has left your daughter. So she went home and found her child lying on the bed and the demon gone. Our theme and thought of meditation in this hour is anything can happen. You may be seated. Turn to your neighbor and say anything can happen. I'll try somebody else. Say Anything can happen. Turn around. Somebody's behind you. Anything can happen. Let me say first good Mother's Day morning to the mothers in the room, to those who embraced the adventure of mothering, and to those who struggled with the responsibilities of mothering and did their very best to mother just the same. Good Mother's Day morning to you, To those who are blessed to still have their mothers on this side of glory. …
