… this Feast of the Holy Family. When the Magi had departed, behold, the angel of the Lord, there's one of the good angels, appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, Rise, take the child and his mother, lead Egypt, stay there until I tell you. Why? Because Herod is going to search for the child to destroy him. Now, link this, everybody, link this passage to what we just heard. From the moment of his birth, there's this great dragon. symbolic of the dark power, the dark invisible power, the enemy of the human race. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod, says King Herod, is going to search for the child to kill him. So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night, and he left for Egypt. where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet, out of Egypt I called my son. Now that's Hosea's prophecy, hundreds of years before Jesus was born. And people might've thought, wait a minute, the prophet says that Jesus is gonna be born in Bethlehem and this prophet says he's gonna come out of Egypt. Is it Bethlehem or Egypt? Is it Bethlehem or Egypt? These prophets, they need to get their story straight, right? No, it's Bethlehem, but they didn't know about Herod. …
