… But verse two, it says, and behold, there was a great earthquake for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and it rolled back the stone and set on it. Now this is crazy. Just want us to acknowledge this is crazy. Because sometimes we'd be reading our Bible acting like it's chill and it's not. We're reading our Bible, drinking our coffee and we're like not even acknowledging that the whole earth was shaking and an angel's coming down and set on the stone. And it says his appearance is like lightning and his clothing white as snow. Now, let me tell you, this next verse proves how crazy this is. Verse four says, and for fear of him, the guards trembled and became like dead men. Okay, that's important. Why is that important? Because this was so terrifying that the guards fainted. So in other words, let's act like this was happening right here at movement. All of a sudden we're out here, we're chilling, we're worshiping God, things are great. …

Your Only Hope – Part 5
Jack Hibbs, 2026-04-05 · Scripture reading

… Because he's the way. And then in Matthew chapter 20, verse 28, look at this. The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life a ransom for many. The word ransom, we don't see that word often, but it means that Jesus Christ came to pay what was hanging over your head by your enemy. You have been kidnapped. Are you guys listening? You guys have been kidnapped by sin, and Satan uses that against you. And the Bible says Satan is always accusing you before God about how bad you are. Did you know that? The Bible says he's before God day and night accusing us. Isn't that something? So why does God allow that? Don't worry. Read the rest of the Bible. It turns out really good for you. In fact, all that accusation falls right back on Satan's face. That's going to be a great moment. I want to make sure you want to capture that on film, on camera when you do that. …

… After the Sabbath, as the first day of the week was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descending from heaven came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning and his clothing white as snow. For fear of him, the guards shook and became like dead men. But the angel said to the women, Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has been raised as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples, he has been raised from the dead, and indeed he's going ahead of you to Galilee. There you will see him. This is my message for you. So they left the tomb quickly. with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly, Jesus met them and said, Greetings, and they came to him and took hold of his feet and worshipped him. …

See Something, Say Something
Levi Lusko, 2026-02-02

… Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. and behold, there was a great earthquake for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone from the door and sat on it. Can you see this in your mind's eye? Can you picture an angel descending from heaven, rolling away a stone and then just sitting on it? Like not a care in the world. When you sit down, it's like, well, Here we go. He just sits down, plumps down on this rock. His countenance was like lightning. What does that taste like, Ratatouille? Lightning-y? What did that angel look like? Can you think of a more intense example? The only thing that comes to mind when I describe his facial expression was lightning-y. his clothing as white as snow. What was the guards' response? Oh, they shook for fear of him and fell down like they were dead. Hardened men of war, Roman elite soldiers, became like dead men. …
