He is not here; He has risen, just as He said! Come, see the place where He lay.He is not here, for he has risen, just like he said. Come, see the place where the Lord was lying. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.He is not here; for he is risen, even as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

… The angel said to the woman, do not be afraid for I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here. He has risen just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples. Tell him what? That he has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him. So the woman hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy and they ran to tell his disciples and suddenly Jesus met them. Hey, he said, they came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. And then Jesus said to them, do not be afraid, go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee. There they will see me. But then look what happened. While the woman were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priest, everything that had happened. When the chief priest had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money telling them, you are to say his disciples came during the night and stole them away while we were asleep. If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble. So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. …
… Because he's the way. And then in Matthew chapter 20, verse 28, look at this. The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life a ransom for many. The word ransom, we don't see that word often, but it means that Jesus Christ came to pay what was hanging over your head by your enemy. You have been kidnapped. Are you guys listening? You guys have been kidnapped by sin, and Satan uses that against you. And the Bible says Satan is always accusing you before God about how bad you are. Did you know that? The Bible says he's before God day and night accusing us. Isn't that something? So why does God allow that? Don't worry. Read the rest of the Bible. It turns out really good for you. In fact, all that accusation falls right back on Satan's face. That's going to be a great moment. I want to make sure you want to capture that on film, on camera when you do that. …
… He's not here. He's risen just as he said. Come see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples, he has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him. Now I have told you. Now I want you to notice something interesting. You expect, so he rolls the stone away and I'm expecting, you know, if I'm just reading this story for the first time, that Jesus is gonna walk out of the tomb. But there's no Jesus in the tomb. That stone had been there and yet Jesus was gone. The angel didn't roll the stone away so that Jesus could get out of the tomb. He rolled the stone away so the women could go in the tomb and see that Jesus wasn't there, that the tomb was empty. Somehow God had transported Jesus, rematerialized him, took his dead body and brought it back to life. And Jesus didn't have to have that door open, the tomb open for him. …
… that God is still pursuing you And the angel of the Lord tells Mary and Mary, see the place where he laid. He is not here. He has risen just as he said he would. Listen to what she says next. Or what the angel says next to the girls. Go and tell the disciples. And one name, Peter. Go tell all the disciples. Now remember, there were 12 disciples. We only got 11 left because Judas was a cowboy fan and a sellout. If I'm lying, I'm dying. Judas sold Jesus out for some lunch money. he goes filled with remorse and takes his own life. We only got 11 left. The angel says, go tell all 11. But I want you to make sure that you tell one in particular. You go and you tell Peter he did what he said he was going to do. Why is Peter so important? Because Peter was the one that told Jesus, I will never deny you. And yet before he went to the cross, Peter denies him three times. …
… Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has been raised as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples, he has been raised from the dead, and indeed he's going ahead of you to Galilee. There you will see him. This is my message for you. So they left the tomb quickly. with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly, Jesus met them and said, Greetings, and they came to him and took hold of his feet and worshipped him. Then Jesus said to them, Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers and sisters to go to Galilee. there they will see me. This is the word of God for you, the people of God. Thanks be to God. If you were tasked with writing a musical score for Easter, where would you start? Would you go with strings or brass? …
… Jesus is alive Notice, as he said, come, see the place where the Lord lay and go quickly, look at this, and tell his disciples. Now that you've seen, go and tell. And indeed, he is going before you into Galilee. There you will see him. Behold, I have told you. So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear, but also great joy. And did they walk? Did they saunter? They ran to bring his disciples' word. What word? Jesus is alive. And as they went to tell the disciples, behold, Jesus met them. Someone say awesome. Saying rejoice. It's over. I won. It's accomplished. It's finished. So they came and they held him by the feet and they worshiped him. He didn't have to tell them to worship him. They saw him. The singing took care of itself. The worship took care of itself. It was their natural response to exalt him, to lift him high. Their eyes were opened. And what came out of their mouth was praise. …
… who was crucified. He is not here. He has, what's that word up there? He has risen just as he said he would. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples he has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you in the Galilee. There you will see him. Now I have told you. So the woman hurried away from the tomb and after yet filled with joy, she ran to tell the other disciples and suddenly Jesus met them there. I want to tell somebody today, you might not expect Jesus to show up, but I want to tell you for somebody today, God will suddenly meet you at the right place at the right time. We serve the God of the suddenly. Amen. Suddenly Jesus appeared. He said, greetings. In Spanish, bienvenidos. Sorry. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. And then Jesus said to them, do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, or for us, that's Rancho Cucamonga, and there they will see me. I want to preach a message today. Write down the title. It's called There's More to the Story. And I just love this because I know we're celebrating the fact that Jesus rose from the dead, the fact that the stone was rolled away. But I want to tell somebody today, that's just the tip of the iceberg. There's more to the story. And I want to encourage you, there's more to your story. God's not done with you yet. There's always more with God. …
… Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he is risen. as he said, come and see the place where the Lord lay. Go quickly and tell his disciples. There's an interesting part of the story that just to refresh your memory, interesting part of the story is in Mark 16. In Mark 16, Mary Magdalene sees the resurrected Christ. She runs and she tells the remaining 11 disciples that he is alive and they don't believe him. The very next scene, it says, the very next verse says, and two of them were walking along a road and Jesus appeared to them in another form and they didn't recognize him either. And when they finally did recognize him, when he broke the bread, they saw who it was, he vanished. They were stunned. They ran back to the other nine and told them that Jesus was raised from the dead. They didn't believe them either. So they didn't believe Mary and they didn't believe two of their own. …
