If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith?Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

… clothed himself like one of these. And if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will not God much more do for you, O you of little faith? And then the Bible talks about our need for shelter. We need food, clothes, and shelter. Now, Jesus didn't address this directly, Timothy 6 verses 6 to 8. He said, for godliness actually is the means of great gain when accompanied by contentment, for we have brought nothing into this world so we cannot take anything out of it. If we have food and what? Covering, shelter. With these things, we shall be content. We have physical needs. Closely related to physical needs are financial needs. I mean, how do you get the food, the clothes, the medicine, the shelter? It comes through money. And that means that money can be a great temptation to people. It's very easy to worship money because it seems to be the means by which all of our needs are provided. You know, in Matthew 6, 24, Jesus made an interesting observation. He said, you cannot serve God and what? Money. …
… but if god so closed the grass of the field the tulips the peonies which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Consider the lilies. Are you struggling with a little faith right now? Jesus says, stop and listen to the lilies. They're singing. These flowers don't sing. We know that. But if you ever stop to look at them, really look at them, they're singing. They're really singing. And they call us to sing with them about God and his glory. And that's what we see right here at the end of our psalm. In Psalm 98, verse 7. He says, let the sea roar and all that fills it. The world and those who dwell in it. Let the rivers clap their hands. let the hills sing for joy together. Creation, you see, it's performing for us. Can you hear it? The seas, they're wide and deep and they are roaring out this bass line underneath it all. …
… Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory was clothed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he not clothe you, O you of little faith? And so do not be anxious, saying, What shall we eat? What shall we drink? What shall we wear? because the nations seek after all these things and your Father in heaven knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom, the rule and reign of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you. So do not be anxious about tomorrow because tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew chapter 6 Jesus assumes that in this life we will have anxiety both the healthy, cautious care kind and the unhealthy, worrisome variety Jesus knows that for a long time now we've been trying to drive ourselves on corrupted software speeding toward a dead end that will destroy us Our God-given warning systems have been decalibrated. …
… the flowers grow. They do not labor. They do not spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all of his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow's thrown in the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? Watch the last verses, verse 33 and 34. Be generous. Give to the poor. Get yourselves a bank that can't go bankrupt. A bank in heaven far from bank robbers, safe from embezzlers, a bank that you can bank on. It's obvious, isn't it? The place where your treasure is, is the place you will most want to be and end up being. Write down the last point today, your heart follows your money. I love this thought. Your heart is going to follow your money. Jesus says, wherever your treasure is, your heart will follow also. He says, why are you worried about what you're going to eat? Why are you worried about what you're going to wear? Why are you worried about tomorrow? Tomorrow has enough worries in itself. No, no, no. Don't worry about that stuff. …
… you, not even Solomon, straight out of Zara in all of his splendor, was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown in the fire, will he not much more clothe you of little faith? So do not worry saying, what shall we eat or what shall we drink or what shall we wear? For the pagans, those are Clipper fans, run after all these things. Your heavenly father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. I like that. He's saying, you know what? We got problems today. Why are we worrying about tomorrow? I've got stuff I'm trying to sort today. I don't need to worry about where are we going to eat? What are we going to wear? …
… SAYING TO YOU THAT EVEN SOLOMON IN ALL HIS GLORY WAS NOT ARRAYED LIKE ONE OF THESE. WHEREFORE, IF GOD SO CLOTHED THE GRASS OF THE FIELD, WHICH TODAY IS, AND TOMORROW IS CAST INTO THE OVEN, SHALL HE NOT MUCH MORE CLOTHE YOU? O YE OF LITTLE FAITH, THEREFORE TAKE NO THOUGHT, SAYING, WHAT SHALL WE EAT? OR WHAT SHALL WE DRINK? OR WHEREWITHAL SHALL WE BE CLOTHED? FOR AFTER ALL THESE THINGS DO THE GENTILES SEEK. FOR YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER KNOWETH THAT YE HAVE NEED OF ALL THESE THINGS. BUT SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU. TAKE THEREFORE NO THOUGHT FOR THE MORROW, FOR THE MORROW SHALL TAKE THOUGHT FOR THE THINGS OF ITSELF. SUFFICIENT UNTO THE DAY IS THE EVIL THEREOF. NOW, WORRY IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM. THE IGNORANT WORRY BECAUSE THEY DON'T KNOW ENOUGH. THE SMART WORRY BECAUSE THEY KNOW TOO MUCH. THE, THE RICH WORRY BECAUSE, UH, THEY'RE AFRAID OF LOSING WHAT THEY HAVE. AND THE POOR WORRY BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE ANYTHING. THE OLD WORRY BECAUSE, HA, HA, HA, THEY'RE FACING DEATH AND THE YOUNG WORRY BECAUSE THEY'RE FACING AN UNCERTAIN FUTURE. BACK TO THE OLD, WHEN WE WERE YOUNG, WE USED TO WORRY THAT WE WERE GETTING OLDER AND WHEN WE GET OLD WE WORRY THAT WE WON'T GET OLDER. AND SO WE JUST CONTINUE TO WORRY. AND, IT, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO WE ARE AND WHAT CATEGORY WE ARE, WE CAN FIND SOMETHING TO WORRY …
