… All right. Verse 30. Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, let us go up at once and take possession for we are well able to overcome it. But the men who had gone up with him said, we are not able to go up against the people. They are stronger than we. They gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land, which they had spied out saying the land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants. And all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. There we saw the giants, the descendants of Anak, who came from the giants. … awesome when we go there. And then the spies open their mouths and they say, we can't go up against the people because they are stronger than we are. So that's a kind of a bummer of a report. You know, 10 of the 12 spies come back and they say, we just can't do it. These people are really strong. And then a numbers records, they started a rumor about the land that they had explored. telling the Israelites, the land that we crossed over to explore is a land that devours its residents. All the people we saw in it are huge men. We saw there were, there are the Nephilim, the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim. So Nephilim were giants. This was a sort of a mythical race of people who were giants. We saw the giants in the land. And then comes this line, we saw ourselves as grasshoppers. And that's how we appeared to them as well. The land devours its people, its inhabitants? …
