They shall encamp around the Tent of Meeting at a distance from it.Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father’s house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch.The children of Israel shall encamp every man by his own standard, with the ensigns of their fathers’ houses: over against the tent of meeting shall they encamp round about.3On the east side, toward the sunrise, the divisions of Judah are to camp under their standard: The leader of the Judahites is Nahshon son of Amminadab,“Those who encamp on the east side toward the sunrise shall be of the standard of the camp of Judah, according to their divisions. The prince of the children of Judah shall be Nahshon the son of Amminadab.And on the east side toward the rising of the sun shall they of the standard of the camp of Judah pitch throughout their armies: and Nahshon the son of Amminadab shall be captain of the children of Judah.And those that encamp on the east side toward the sunrising shall be they of the standard of the camp of Judah, according to their hosts: and the prince of the children of Judah shall be Nahshon the son of Amminadab.4and his division numbers 74,600.His division, and those who were counted of them, were seventy-four thousand six hundred.And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred.And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred.5The tribe of Issachar will camp next to it. The leader of the Issacharites is Nethanel son of Zuar,“Those who encamp next to him shall be the tribe of Issachar. The prince of the children of Reuben shall be Elizur the son of Shedeur.On the south side shall be the standard of the camp of Reuben according to their armies: and the captain of the children of Reuben shall be Elizur the son of Shedeur.On the south side shall be the standard of the camp of Reuben according to their hosts: and the prince of the children of Reuben shall be Elizur the son of Shedeur.11and his division numbers 46,500.His division, and those who were counted of it, were forty-six thousand five hundred.And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.12The tribe of Simeon will camp next to it. The leader of the Simeonites is Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai,“Those who encamp next to him shall be the tribe of Simeon. The prince of the children of Simeon shall be Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.And those which pitch by him shall be the tribe of Simeon: and the captain of the children of Simeon shall be Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.And those that encamp next unto him shall be the tribe of Simeon: and the prince of the children of Simeon shall be Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.13and his division numbers 59,300.His division, and those who were counted of them, were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred.And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred.14Next will be the tribe of Gad. And they shall set forth second.17In the middle of the camps, the Tent of Meeting is to travel with the camp of the Levites. They are to set out in the order they encamped, each in his own place under his standard.“Then the Tent of Meeting shall set out, with the camp of the Levites in the middle of the camps. The prince of the children of Dan shall be Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.The standard of the camp of Dan shall be on the north side by their armies: and the captain of the children of Dan shall be Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.On the north side shall be the standard of the camp of Dan according to their hosts: and the prince of the children of Dan shall be Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.26and his division numbers 62,700.His division, and those who were counted of them, were sixty-two thousand seven hundred.And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were threescore and two thousand and seven hundred.And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were threescore and two thousand and seven hundred.27The tribe of Asher will camp next to it. The leader of the Asherites is Pagiel son of Ocran,“Those who encamp next to him shall be the tribe of Asher. The prince of the children of Asher shall be Pagiel the son of Ochran.And those that encamp by him shall be the tribe of Asher: and the captain of the children of Asher shall be Pagiel the son of Ocran.And those that encamp next unto him shall be the tribe of Asher: and the prince of the children of Asher shall be Pagiel the son of Ochran.28and his division numbers 41,500.His division, and those who were counted of them, were forty-one thousand five hundred.And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty and one thousand and five hundred.And his hosts, and those that were numbered of them, were forty and one thousand and five hundred.29Next will be the tribe of Naphtali. The leader of the Naphtalites is Ahira son of Enan,“The tribe of Naphtali: the prince of the children of Naphtali shall be Ahira the son of Enan.Then the tribe of Naphtali: and the captain of the children of Naphtali shall be Ahira the son of Enan.And the tribe of Naphtali: and the prince of the children of Naphtali shall be Ahira the son of Enan.30and his division numbers 53,400.His division, and those who were counted of them, were fifty-three thousand four hundred.And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.31The total number of men in the camp of Dan is 157,600; they shall set out last, under their standards.”“All who were counted of the camp of Dan were one hundred fifty-seven thousand six hundred. They shall set forth hindmost by their standards.32These are the Israelites, numbered according to their families. The total of those counted in the camps, by their divisions, was 603,550.These are those who were counted of the children of Israel by their fathers’ houses. All who were counted of the camps according to their armies were six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.These are those which were numbered of the children of Israel by the house of their fathers: all those that were numbered of the camps throughout their hosts were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.These are they that were numbered of the children of Israel by their fathers’ houses: all that were numbered of the camps according to their hosts were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.33But the Levites were not counted among the other Israelites, as the LORD had commanded Moses.But the Levites were not counted among the children of Israel, as Yahweh commanded Moses.But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses.But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as Jehovah commanded Moses.34So the Israelites did everything the LORD commanded Moses; they camped under their standards in this way and set out in the same way, each man with his clan and his family.Thus the children of Israel did.
