Berean Standard Bible.
11 It happens on the golf course. It also occurs in the boardroom and in relationships. You birdie the last three holes on the back nine. You close this deal that makes your company a ton of money. and then maybe you have a romantic moment guys and you take your wife on a four-day cruise you say to yourself i mean you don't want to admit it out loud but you say to yourself i'm in the zone I'm cooking with fish grease.
01 I'm on fire. I'm blessed, we say. In the zone, what does that mean when we say that? I googled the term, the phrase, in the zone. In the zone basically is an area that's distinguished from the rest.
28 It's a place, yes, but also a space. In the zone. Well, what if I told you that God, that's right, what if I told you that our great God wants all of us to live in the zone? it might snap some of our heads and cause us to do a face palm and go, wait a minute, Ed, you mean God? The God of the universe wants me to live in the zone? Yes. How can you make that statement? Well, the Bible makes the statement. John 3, 16, for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son. Romans 8, 31 through 32. If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
37 Is that amazing? So if I could have you leave with one thing today, it's this thought. God is for me. God's for me. When I mention, though, living in the zone,
58 when I mention the sweet spot of success, we have to think deeper when we think about God's zone. Because if I just think about the blessed space in place, I don't think deeply enough or completely enough about what it really means. I'll say it again. God wants us to live in the zone to be, here's the key, on the receiving end of his tangible and intangible blessings, or you might say the favor of God. That's what it means to be blessed. So when I'm in the zone, I'm in the blessed space and place. I realize God is the blesser, I'm the blessed, and here's where it really gets cool.
59 I have an opportunity to be a blessing. When you think about the zone, God's zone, think about the blessed place, I'll say it once again, to be on this receiving end of the tangible and intangible favor of God.
23 You see the God cam? You see that? That's God's perspective. of your life and mine. When I look at this, one of the first things that I think is I need some more hair transplants. I had hair transplant surgery in 2017.
51 And that's a serious surgery. Don't be fooled by all these Instagram posts and Facebook posts where, oh, you can have a thick Justin Bieber hairstyle in just a couple of months. No pain, it's easy. Are you kidding me? Here's what's funny about this. I had the hair transplant surgery.
17 God bless Lisa. The aftercare, it's unbelievable. What you have to do to keep the hair. Well then, on the heels of that, I'm going somewhere with this. I had heart surgery. They split me open. to repair a little birth defect, a deformed mitra valve, and they repaired it, and I'm all good.
50 Lisa will tell you, not me, that the aftercare for hair transplant surgery is more difficult than the aftercare of heart surgery. I know you think I'm lying, but I don't have enough time to get into all of the stuff you have to do, but believe me, it's real. So I am thinking about doing it. If I do it again, like I did the last time, I'll video it for you and show you. But I really am thinking about this. And this series made it very obvious to me.
29 But that's God's perspective, right? In the zone. God wants all of us to be in the zone, in the blessed space and place to be on the receiving end of the tangible and intangible favor of God. But most of us don't understand what blessings mean. We think blessings are just intangible. Peace, joy, contentment, our salvation, justification, glorification, all of those things are intangible. In other words, we can't see, taste, and touch them. And usually when we think about blessings, we think about that. But I want to add to it, blessings are also tangible.
15 Matter matters to God. So blessings are immaterial and material. Obviously, they're weighted more on the immaterial than the material, but you cannot say. You cannot say that blessings aren't material. Think about this church. Just take this church for example. Over the last, what, 34 years, all of the things that this church, by God's grace, has accomplished, it happened because God blessed us materially,
55 financially, and we, as a congregation, gave that, and now look around. It's like, whoa. So we understood, a core group of us understood that God's the blesser. I'm blessed to do what? To be a blessing. That's awesome. So my response as a follower of the Lord Jesus should be twofold. If I'm in the zone. I mean, if I'm in the zone. I receive it. God, bless me. And then I reflect it. I receive it and reflect it. I reflect it.
48 God has given me these responsibilities because of the blessings and now I have an opportunity to be a blessing. Make sure you understand this, download this. The blessed space in place is an area where God's purpose and our obedience collide. Huh. The blessed space and place.
26 There's a false doctrine out there. called the prosperity gospel. You might have heard about it. If you haven't, I'll explain it to you. It's very sexy. It's very cool. Because a lot of churches in the area and others teach this. And it's not biblical. I mean, there's a partial truth to it, but it's not biblical. For example, does God want to prosper us? Yes. unequivocally, irrevocably, biblically, God wants to prosper us. But he wants to prosper us the way he wants to prosper us, not necessarily the way you want to be prospered or I want to be prospered. Do you understand that?
18 So the prosperity gospel is about health and wealth. It says if you have enough faith, Peace. if you give believing God for a new roles or an airplane or a yacht, then pretty much God's obliged to do that.
45 So they say that Christians should walk in health and wealth and prosperity. Well, yes, according to God's agenda, but no, not according to my agenda. So the health and wealth gospel is very self-centered. It's about me, what I want. Whereas what we're talking about, we're talking about the full blessings of God. we're talking about God blessing in all sorts of ways. Can he and does he bless us materially? Yes, but more often than not, he blesses in ways that stuff can't even touch. If that makes sense, just kind of shake your head.
45 Well, Ed, how about the people who were outside the zone? God can. I mean, some of these people are blessed. Yeah. It's just the residual blessings of God. Theologians call it common grace. Like, people are blessed and don't even know it. They're like, man, this is incredible. Closed that deal and married her. Yeah, man, it's awesome. Okay, well, awesome. They don't realize everything comes from God. Let me say it again. Everything comes from God. It's the self-made man or woman who goes, man, I'm innovative, I'm creative, I'm disciplined. Stop with that train of thought in the name of love. Who gave you your mind?
37 Who gave you and put you in your family of origin? Who bestowed you the creativity? It all comes from God. God, you are the blesser. I'm blessed. And I can be a blessing. When we move from outside the zone to inside the zone, this is important, we move from owning to managing. You see these things right here? ing ing if we live outside the zone we're living in the land of ing own ing earn ing party ing fornicate ing bling bling ka-ching ka-ching And a lot of people go, well, man, I'm blessed.
58 You're living in the land of Ing. What do we say? Whoever dies with the most ings wins. once I moved though, I'll illustrate it again, from the land of ing into the zone,
21 God puts his bless on my ing. God puts his super on my natural. God takes all of those things that I was inging out here, and now I go, I got it. it's all about you, God. I'm receiving it, God. And now, God, I'm blessed, and I want to be a blessing. That's why the Bible says our gifts are for one another. And where is the one another place? The one another place is in this space, the church. We all have different gifts. And that's amazing when you think about it. And the gifts, we're to have fun with the gifts ourselves. Maybe God's given you the ability to make money.
16 Maybe God's given you the ability to lead. Maybe God's given you the ability to fix things, whatever it is. Great. Do those things, you know, within your family and friends or whatever. But I'm here to tell you, based on God's word, the God perspective of our gifts and resources is to resource and build his church. Think about where we would be as a church if we didn't have this amazing worship team. our worship band, our parkers, our greeters, our extravagant hospitality, the workers right now in the children's ministry and student ministry, where would we be if people didn't go, huh, I have this desire, this ability, and I'm going to use it for one another.
20 Ownership, you don't own Jack, but we manage it. I don't know how many years ago it was, but maybe 25 years ago, this lady attended fellowship church. She was married to a wealthy guy, multi-billionaire. And she walked up to Lisa and I one day and she said, you know, I wanna bless you guys. I, well, she said, my husband gave me this $40 million house on the Pacific Ocean. I never use it. And I want to bless you guys. Just use it. Treat it like it's yours. Would you do that? I didn't even have to pray about it.
13 She goes, take your friends, take staff. You can do whatever you want to do. It's a guest house built on top of the rocks, albino seals being born in the backyard.
34 Carpet was so thick when I walked on it, it sucked my shoes off my feet. So we show up. You know, the kids were little and everything, so we're walking around, and one of their employees is showing us around, and, you know, turn these lights on, turn these lights off, and here's how the washing machine works, all these different things. And then the lady, the employee turned and goes, Now, there is a list on the fridge of some things that, I'll not mention the woman's name, that she wants you to do.
21 It was a to-do list. So I looked at this to-do list. It was like, I don't know, four things. Turn off the lights in the guest house because they will not disturb the neighbor who was an A-lister and, you know, meet the gardener at whatever. and gate A is this code and gate B is this code and gate C, all that stuff. Question, do you think I did what was written on the list?
53 Yes! I mean, if I hadn't have done that, you would go, Ed, you are out of your mind. I mean, you were managing this mansion. The least you could do is just one or two things. that's what our great God wants for you and me. He wants us to live in the zone. We're made to live in the zone. It's about, though, receiving and reflecting. It's about obedience, isn't it? Obedience.
39 Obedience. Blessings. Let me give you a couple of comments about blessings Things that'll hopefully even clear up what blessings mean in a deeper way. Because like in the zone, we say I'm blessed all the time and most of us, I'm this way too. I mess up on this. I don't really think about the implications of saying I'm blessed. I don't really think about it. But this will help us think about it. It really helped me. number one, blessings aren't always comfortable.
22 Now, that is a very important statement that I made. You see, with the health and wealth gospel, it's about comfort, man. One prayer, you're delivered, bam. No, no. Often, and we're gonna see someone in the Bible very, very quickly here and next week, Often, living in the zone is not a comfortable place. Statement two about blessings.
50 Blessings are connected. They must always be connected to God's purpose. His eternal purpose. You see, blessings keep going on and on and on and on and on and on and on. God has his eternal purpose. So my blessings are here, but they're also forever. Number three, blessings focus on God, not circumstances.
23 As Lisa and I have lived in the zone, and we haven't lived in the zone perfectly, we've experienced some difficulty. We've experienced grief. We've experienced death in the zone.
46 And if you ask us while we were processing these things and while we're still processing things, we're going to tell you, because Lisa and I have discussed this, yes, we're in the sweet spot of God's success. We don't understand it. We're not gonna really get it on this side of the dirt. God, though, doesn't waste a trial. He doesn't waste a difficulty. We live in a fallen place, and the overarching vibe of God is still blessings. Another statement. Blessings are for others. I'll say it again. Blessings are for others. Now, when I think about blessings, let's get into this guy real quick from the Bible.
46 You've probably heard about him. When I think about blessings and living in the zone, I think about Abraham. You've probably heard of Abraham before. Abraham, the father of our faith. Abraham, through Abraham, the nation of Israel was born. Through the nation of Israel, Jesus was born. Through Jesus, you can be born again.
12 So God comes up to Abraham one day. You gotta realize, Abraham was from a family of idol worshipers. He came from Ur of the Chaldeans. I mean, totally out of the zone. God comes to him and goes, Abraham, I'm tired of you living in the land of Ing. It's time for you to move by faith into the land of the zone. I wanna put, God said, my bless on your Ing. And let's quickly check him out. In Genesis chapter 12, verses one through three, the Lord said to Abram, his name was later changed to Abraham, go from your country, your people, and your father's household to the land I will show you. So God gives his word, and then he goes, Abraham, by faith, my man, you either follow it or not.
17 And what we're talking about here in the zone is a faith situation. By faith, God gives us his word. We step out on it. By faith, we realize God is the blesser. By faith, we're like, man, I am blessed, and I can be a blessing. You got to realize God didn't tell Abraham Jack about really where he was going. He just said, I'm going to show you this land. This land is going to be yours. I'm going to bless you and bless you and bless you. Just follow me. God says, I'll make you into a great nation. I'll bless you. I'll make your name great.
06 Verse two, and you'll be a blessing. I'll bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you, I'll curse, and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you. Now, to show you the blessings of Abraham, to show you, yes, he was blessed immaterially, but to show you how he was blessed materially, listen to what one of his employees said about him in Genesis 24, 35. The Lord has blessed my master abundantly. And I looked up his net worth. He would be at least a billionaire in today's money just to show you how much cash the guy had. He's become wealthy, this employee said.
52 He's given him sheep and cattle, silver and gold, men servants and maidservants and camels and donkeys. Thank you. sounds like material stuff to me and as you read about Abraham's life Abraham leveraged that and used that to bless others but I think it's so interesting how he had to leave and I'll get into this more next week his family of origin these toxic relationships that were keeping him in the land of Ing. He had to let go and move into the zone. And he did so by faith. Galatians chapter three, verse 29 says, if you belong to Christ, then you're Abraham's seed, his offspring, and heirs according to the promise.
51 So the same situation, even on another level, that was available to Abraham is available to me now in Christ. Thank you. so review God wants you and me to live in the zone we make that decision through a faith step we realize God's the blesser we're blessed we can be a blessing we do that through receiving and reflecting God because God is God hearted I do that and you do that through the generosity of your time, talent, and resources. We leave the land of Ing and go into the blessed place in space.
50 Fellowship Church began in 1990. Lisa and I helped kick it off, and that was a real, real adventure. When we moved up here, we had one child, LeBeth, and later we wanted to have another child, so we had to go the whole route of infertility doctors you know and I know many of you here have done that it was very expensive yet we went through it and had EJ and that of course is an incredible blessing being able to do that and being able to leverage medicine And remember, God's the one that gave the doctors all the knowledge anyway, of course.
46 Remember that? Bless her. Bless. Blessing. I thought you would. Well, the doctors said after EJ was born, I'm talking about the infertility doctors, they were like, hey, if you want to have another child, you're not going to have a prayer. I thought that was funny. Unless you come back to us. so we did the math and we were like oh man that's going to be like fifteen thousand dollars that we're going to need to save to have another child now back then fifteen thousand dollars was a lot of money to us fifteen thousand might be a lot of money to you but some people here you know but 1.5 million is not that much money. So money is relative. It is. So we begin to save and save for this next, you know, child. Well, in the meantime, only as God works, Fellowship Church is like blowing and going, and we're in all of these rented facilities, and we really believed, and we felt that God spoke to us.
56 It's time. We believed. to buy some land, to get some land to build a church. Well, our first thought was Irving. That's where Fellowship Church began, Irving. I call Irving Egypt. Though we'll identify that more next week.
19 I love Irving, I'm just kind of kidding around. But not really. So we looked in Irving for a spot for this church. Could not find one. The ultimate spot we found, and I'm giving you too much information, but I will. The ultimate spot we found was Attractive Land north of 635 and MacArthur, that corner. Roger Stalback owned it, and well, it didn't happen. Here was the problem. We had no money. Let me say that again. Because a lot of times, business guys will say, I don't have any money. Now, no, we had no money. Banks wouldn't touch us. I'm not sure we even had a credit card. And here we are looking for a giant tract of land. And there was this group called the Resolution Trust Corporation.
16 It was a government deal. The government was dumping a bunch of land. And we heard about this in Grapevine, which was a long way from where we were in Irving, grapevine. We heard about this tract of land and we negotiated with no money to buy this land. Other people who wanted this land, I mean, they could have written a check, no big deal. Yet the person who called the shot for this land was a believer. from the government, a believer, which is really unique. So he's like... 159 acres. He's like, you got it. All right.
10 We got it. We have no money. So we did this capital campaign. And capital campaigns are very easy to explain. We challenged the church, you guys, to commit to a certain amount over and above your regular giving to a project. It could be a two-year thing or a three-year thing. This one was a three-year thing. So all the church got together and we prayed. And so many of us gave, and many here, gave sacrificially to make this happen. And that's one of the things, Fellowship Church, I mean, obviously it means the world to me. It's God's house. But I know, though, that Lisa and I have had a part, a major part in this.
09 And I look at some of you, I know you've had a major, major part in this. Well, here's the problem. We're in the zone, and we want to have another kid. We got 15,000 squirreled away, earmarked for fertility and all that. And now it's like, okay, what does God want us to do? we really believe that God wanted us to give.
50 I say give, we're really just funneling it. It all comes from God, but work with me. We gave the $15,000 to Fellowship Church for this land. 18 months later Lisa walked in and she goes Honey I'm pregnant She goes, here's baby A. and here's baby B and she goes twins I still can't believe it. how awesome is God Now, I don't want to scare you.
51 Today, as we talk about this next project, I don't want you to worry to go, man, if we give, we're going to get pregnant. that's not going to happen. All right. and every time we've been a blessing, it doesn't always happen like that. I want you to know that. Sometimes I think we read books and hear people and it's like, wow, man, this guy's a running conversation with God and he just, you know, there's a blessing. I mean, I cannot thank God enough for the blessings, and I ever will, that God has bestowed upon our life, but I just want you to know you're blessed to be a blessing, to be a blessing, to receive and reflect what God has given you.
56 God blesses us to be a blessing, as I just said, but it doesn't stop with us. We're to pass it on, aren't we? To the next one. You never know how God is working in your life.
24 How one small decision could create a domino effect that could change the course of your life and the lives of countless others. I think back to my college days at Florida State, praying a single high-risk prayer for God to give me the chance to lead just one person to Christ. Little did I know the domino effect that one prayer could have. God gave me the opportunity to lead a friend on my team to Christ. And then one life reached another life and another. A domino effect that became the catalyst for Fellowship Church. If you had asked me over the last 34 years, what's the number one thing Fellowship Church has done and does that I'm most proud of?
23 I have to say it's the next one. One person telling another person about Jesus. The End My name is Alessandra and I was the next one. I came to Fellowship Church for the first time in 2021. I got invited by someone from school and they were like, hey, like, come with me to the mix.
20 I'm like, the mix? Like, what is this? As I was walking through the doors, I was immediately connected with leaders. And I'm like, who are these people coming up to me? Like, I don't even know any of them. And they're just acting like I'm the coolest person ever. I'm like, I've never had people that were so intentional with me in my entire life. I found the best community here at Fellowship Church that I could find. And Pastor Sam is giving an incredible message. I ended up giving my life to Jesus. I'm so grateful for our pastors at Enlisa Young. They helped me be bold in my faith. I've been able to see my mom give her life to Christ and my sister give her life to Christ. And my aunts.
05 Hi, my name is Axel, and I was the next one. In middle school and in high school, I started falling into drugs a lot. One day, I suffered from an overdose in my home. The doctor said that if it had not been for two minutes that the paramedics would have gotten there, there would have been no bringing me back. Hi, my name is Edith DeBarra. I'm Axel's mom. And I was the next one. We were so fortunate to know somebody that has been a member here for a long time. He's the first person I thought to call when I was in the ambulance with Axel and he prayed over us and he came over to the hospital. No questions asked, just there in a heartbeat. I woke up in the hospital bed and he asked me, can you please give me one hour of your week? Please come to church with me. Little did I know how much that one hour would change my entire life.
03 I remember going to Alasa Ranch for New Year's last year. It's one of the best places on earth. It's a place where you can meet incredible people. And it's a place where I thought I was finally not alone. I gave my life to Christ, and I inspired my mom, and so did she. Hi, my name is Christine, and I was the next one. I met my husband, and after we got married, I went through a really bad, it was like a 10-year battle with depression and suicidal thoughts and body dysmorphia, just a lot of mental health struggles, and just feeling very hopeless. And I was seeking the Lord with all my heart, and long story short, He brought so much healing and wholeness to my life, and He's used those areas of pain to help me to give hope and healing to others through my story. So I had been seeking the Lord for a while, but my greatest prayer was for Nathan to accept Christ into his heart. That was my prayer for 11 years. We've been married for 13 years now. During all those years, I was just praying and praying and just trusting the Lord, and there were times when I was like, oh, there's no way. He's too logical, and one day, Denny Brewer, he reached out to us via text message saying, hey, we're starting the connect group for the married couples.
21 And we'd love for you guys to, you know, come join us. The minute we walked in, we just felt so welcomed by everyone. Just it just we just felt like this was home. And I'd never seen Nate so excited to go to church before. And then a year into us going to fellowship church, Nate gave his life to Christ. We got baptized together. It was just like the beginning of a new life. Yes.
43 My name is April Rositas, and me and my family were the next ones. My marriage was almost non-existent. We were at a breaking point, and believe it or not, Ed Young popped up on my Facebook one day. I said, hey, babe, let's just try it. Let's see. We went, and it radically changed us. My husband and I found what was missing in our relationship, and it was Jesus. We decided to get baptized and give our lives to Jesus together.
15 Recently, our daughter has accepted Christ at FC Kids. My half-sister needed to start finding a church as well. She's 18. She's a senior in high school this year. And she said, you know, Mom doesn't go to church. My dad doesn't go to church. You guys go to church. Would you mind if I went with you? And I said, actually, we would love that. We've been dying for you to come with us. We served at The Mix on Wednesday nights. She went and she dove in. And my sister accepted Jesus and got baptized. She's also invited about 15 of her friends to The Mix. And through that, they have all given their lives to Jesus. And then my husband's stepdad. We've actually had no communication with him in the past six years. He was in a rough spot in his life where he had just lost his brother, just lost his dad. He said, you know, I know we don't talk, but you and April are doing really good. is there anything at your church that might benefit me?
09 And so we said, actually, yeah, all of these classes and all of these small connect groups on grieving and things like that. And he went. He loved it. And he actually surrendered his life to Christ as well. Jesus does work in Fellowship Church. I'm just so grateful for this church. I can't begin to thank everybody here. I can't thank this church enough for holding us up when we couldn't do it for ourselves. So thank you. Thank you. One person telling another person about Jesus, our anchor of hope. The Bible says we have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. All these stories are about reaching the next one and anchoring their lives to this hope found in Christ. The next child needing unconditional love. The next student searching for self-worth.
05 The next one fighting for their family, looking for answers, resisting addiction, or in need of strength. So what's next at Fellowship Church to reach the next one for Jesus Christ? The Anchor Project. A two-year journey of faith to create 60,000 square feet of holy ground to reach the next generation of next ones who desperately need the anchor. Only 4% of Gen Z has a biblical worldview and the highest percentage of any generation to struggle with depression, hopelessness, and suicide. That's why we're about to build a refuge from the storm for the next generation. A student center like no other for our youth to invite their friends, find Jesus, our anchor, and discover their purpose. Changing lives that will change the world.
02 And with the challenges young families face today, we're building more opportunities than ever before to draw them in where they can find community tethered to the anchor. The time is now. God is moving in unprecedented ways at Fellowship Church. The question is, how do we make sure this domino effect never ends? What will you do to reach the next one? We can't bring anything into heaven except for others. So let's create a safe harbor for our kids and young people where we can reach the next one and the next one and the next one, anchoring them in Christ. What a blessing. You know, as you're seated on the end, I want to make sure at the end of the rows that you get an anchor project brochure in your hand.
59 Our marketing team has done just a fantastic job of really capturing the essence of Fellowship Church, what God has done, what he's doing, and what he's going to do. So this is obviously our gift to you. So make sure you have this. And I want to just run through this and give you the cliff notes of what you're holding. You'll see this cool bracelet I have. Well, there's a bracelet in there for each and every one of you to wear. Isn't that fun? There's also a magnet. Now, my friend who had the mansion on the Pacific, she didn't have a magnet. Well, yes, she did.
51 She had a piece of paper and it was on the fridge with a magnet. So I thought that was kind of an interesting thing. I didn't plan that. I just read that. So if you take the Anchor Project and just fly through it, Fellowship Church exists to reach up, out, and in. You know that. Keep turning, keep turning, keep turning. And then it goes to page 12. It describes the Anchor Center, a 60,000-square-foot multipurpose building, outdoor pavilion, pickleball, basketball courts, a 1,200-seat worship center, which will be able to be retrofitted like that for a worship service, weddings, funerals, and so forth, cafe, outdoor and indoor playground, new classroom spaces. You know, we're starting Fellowship University, which will be a fully accredited leadership in Bible college. I don't know what the timeline is on that, but it's pretty, it's going to happen fast. Isn't that cool? I think so. Fellowship Creative, our brilliant worship team where new songs will be made. There's going to be a studio there, outdoor amphitheater. We need to do a better job with the outdoor amphitheater because that's not really what it's going to look like.
17 They were telling me today, it's like, it's going to be a lot bigger. But anyway, you keep going. There's some great articles about people. And here's what you can do. Here's what I can do and what we're doing to make this happen. Pray. That's the first thing. Just pray. God, how can I invest in this? Now, the only pressure you're going to feel is from the Holy Spirit of God. Zero pressure for me. I'm just telling you what God has done through my life and others. So if you feel weird pressure, but the Holy Spirit is going to whisper to you and tell you, how can I invest? Prepare. There's a 14-day prayer guide. They're telling me on the next page. Okay. Let's see what that says. Okay. Faith, hope, trust. And it goes discernment, investment.
15 Just go through these as you pray and prepare. Also, as you participate in this, remember these gifts are going to be over and above your regular giving. Okay, so Fellowship Church runs on our regular giving. You might say our tithes and offerings. we're not like a business we don't have some massive savings account or some foundation pretty much what we take in we spend on ministry but don't stop giving there because we want to keep the lights on the other track is this $30 million project. And sometimes people will ask me business guys, like, how do you do that? Well, it's very simple. We ask you to commit. And there's a card in the back that I'll direct you to. You don't have to commit today, but there's the card and you write what you believe down. God can do. And God wants to do in your life. Lisa and I have already made this commitment. And for us, it's going to be the biggest commitment we've ever made. And we're, and we're thrilled about it because we're looking forward to having some more kids, but no, we have enough grandkids. We have seven, so we're blessed. But, but anyway, so what that total will be, if it's near 30 million, it'll take us several weeks to do it.
56 then we'll start the project. If it's way south of 30 million, we'll wait until, you know, we receive that. So that's how it works. It's that simple. But again, I believe everyone can play a part. You could be a three-figure person, four-figure, seven figures, eight figures. I have no idea what God wants to do. But we're blessed by God the blesser. and we can be a blessing. And this is just one way, a huge way that we can do this. Last two things, two dates. January 26th, that's when we need our cards filled in as much as possible. If you would bring those to the church, January 26th.
50 And then on February 2nd, that's the First Fruits offering. That'll be hopefully the largest installment that we make. We'll kick off on that Sunday as we build his church. We're blessed to be a blessing. So I want to have a prayer. and then we'll turn it over to Derek with a worship moment. Father, thank you for this great church. I thank you for the generosity here. I thank you for providing us a zone. You didn't have to do it, but because of your grace, you did it. And God, you want us to live in the zone. It's my prayer that we all would step in the zone and realize what life is all about. Father continue to go with us to motivate and stimulate us over the next several weeks as we're faithful to this your church we ask all these things in Jesus name
