03 This past Monday, I was sitting in Terminal E at DFW Airport at 7.30 a.m. waiting for a flight. I'd only had a cup of coffee, so I was hungry. I quickly look around and see a little area. I forget the name of this store, but they were open. So I walked in, and the gentleman greeted me. He was very kind. and I said, do you guys have anything for breakfast? He goes, today is your lucky day. We have this breakfast burrito. Do you like eggs and bacon? I said, are you kidding me? Yes. And then he goes, excuse me, I want to thank you so much for Fellowship Church, he said. He said, you know, I love being a part of Fellowship.

59 I said, thank you very much. So I paid for the burrito, walked back to the little area, waiting for my flight, terminal E, I'm just sitting there, watching the people. How funny is it just to watch people in airports? What they wear and what they don't.

25 I really want to come up to some people and go, what were you thinking? Seriously, I'm not joking. when you got up this morning and looked in the mirror at that outfit. I mean, tell me, what was going through your mind? I just, that's just me. It's just me. So I'm sitting there. I think I was like halfway done with the burrito. And I glance over to the little area where I bought the burrito, and I see the guy. I think he managed the place, you know, obviously attended fellowship church. I see him kind of looking around, and I kind of do like this. So he goes, so he walks over to him and he said, Ed, by the way, you know, I just have this gift of speaking different languages. I speak Russian and French and he went on and on and on. He said, if you ever need me in any way to help or to assist, I know that fellowship does a lot of stuff on the mission field.

28 and we work with pastors around the world and with radio and online. He goes, I would love to use my gifts. Just tell me where to serve and I'm there. I thought, that's amazing, isn't it? Then I thought, what if everyone at Fellowship Church at all of our campuses, all of our environments had that mentality. I have this gift. I have this ability. I have this aptitude. I'm just here to serve.

10 God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. We're talking about the Holy Spirit today. The Holy Spirit of God. because the Holy Spirit of God is the one who gives us these gifts, and the Holy Spirit of God, it's his desire for us to use those gifts to build the only thing Jesus ever built the church. You see, God's strategy is absolutely brilliant. people you and me made in his image with unique unique abilities bowing the knee before him allowing him to fill us to the brim and use our uniqueness within the body of christ because this is the body of christ we're a local body of christ and every body has members. And I told you last time about my toe, my big toe, that I crushed with a 40-pound dumbbell. I didn't think my big toe really mattered until I crushed it. But when you have a crushed big toe, big toes matter. You matter. Your gift matters. It might be a big toe gift.

39 It matters within the body of Christ. Whether you speak, whether you have the gift of administration, whether you have the gift of languages, whether you have the gift of mercy, they all matter. They come together in the body of Christ. The Holy Spirit of God. He's the one that does it. God, the Father, God, the Son, God, the Holy Spirit, coexistent and co-eternal. The third person of the Godhead. He's not lesser, he's equal. Who is the Holy Spirit of God? Because it's mysterious, isn't it? It's unique to talk about the Holy Spirit. Who is the Holy Spirit? Okay, let's look at the aptitude of the Holy Spirit, the aptitude. The Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit, and it's very important to be specific when you talk about theology.

35 When you're specific, you'll be prolific. When you're specific, you'll be what? That's what I thought you said. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. Like the Father and the Son, he is coexisting and coeternal with the Godhead. He is fully God and fully integrated in the Trinity. Jesus said in John 14, 16, and I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever, the spirit of truth, the spirit of truth. This word advocate literally is the word breath.

20 The breath of God. And God doesn't have bad breath. The Holy Spirit is personal, not impersonal. The Holy Spirit is wonderful, not weird. Supernatural, not spooky natural. Equal in the Godhead, not lesser.

49 Present, not distant. That's the aptitude of the Holy Spirit of God. This right here is a vase with a bunch of ping pong balls. The ping pong balls represent sin. They represent flesh. The word flesh is our worldly system, the things that swim against the current of Christ. We come to a point in our lives, a time and space, where we ask Christ to come into our lives. and we've been talking about the process, haven't we, of salvation. Salvation is when someone bows the knee to Jesus.

48 It's that moment in time. And we know the gospel is presented, like when I talk about Christ's life, death, burial, and resurrection, that's the gospel. Jesus died on the cross in our place for our sins, and shortcomings. He rose again. Now he offers us eternal life. That is the gospel. Every time I share the gospel, I know, this is what gives me confidence, that some people will respond. The Bible tells me that. Some people today will respond to the gospel call. When the gospel call goes out, you have the Holy Spirit of God doing the work of regeneration. Then you have repentance and faith. Next, we respond by acquiescing and saying, okay, God, take control of me. Jesus, come into my life.

55 The Holy Spirit is described as water. When Jesus comes into our life, the first thing he does is he places the person of the Holy Spirit inside of our lives. So he places the person of the Holy Spirit inside of our lives at salvation. We're filled with the spirit. and our sins.

31 He's forgiven us as far as the east is from the west. Look at this. Look at our sins. we're righteous, we're pure, we're holy, we're filled with the Holy Spirit of God. It's very important we understand this theologically. When someone becomes a Christian, you receive the total package. You receive the Holy Spirit the moment you become a follower of Christ. You don't receive the Holy Spirit at a separate exchange or interaction. It's very important. The Holy Spirit comes in at salvation, all right? So it's not a second baptism or a second experience to receive the Holy Spirit. Some churches teach that. It's not biblical.

32 However, you have to understand this. There are times in our lives when we are immersed, baptized, filled with the Holy Spirit after salvation. I can look at moments in my life recently where I was filled, baptized with the Holy Spirit. Did I have the Holy Spirit back in the day when I became a Christian? Yes. Yes, but there are certain times, mysterious times, unique times, where you're empowered, you're filled with the Holy Spirit of God. Maybe you have an impression to pray for someone. Maybe you have this thought, like, I feel like you might be going through something. That's the leadership of the Holy Spirit. You might be at a point in your life where you're like, no, I'm not really sure about that relationship.

28 Holy Spirit. So I want you to really download what I just said, because when it comes to theology, we're looking at what the entire Bible says about a certain topic. So I'm not just picking and choosing when I talk about the Holy Spirit. We're looking at the Holy Spirit from eternity past, present and future who he is his aptitude what he does his his actions I mean what what does the Holy Spirit do well he fills us yes and this sin is like done with but some of you probably going okay Ed I still struggle with anger I still struggle with lust I still struggle with greed But look, see, because I'm being filled, and I am filled, we just deal with that sin, don't we?

30 But I'm filled with the Holy Spirit of God. That's why it's so vital to have that time every day of worship, of devotion. And one of our prayers should be, Holy Spirit, fill me today. Fill me up. I like what Jesus said in John 10. I've come that you might have life and have it abundantly. Say abundantly with me. Abundantly. The picture is of waves hitting on a seashore. The picture is of a vessel overflowing with water. The Holy Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit of God is called fire. It's called wind. It's called oil. It's called the dove. It's called, I'll say it again. Water. What does the Holy Spirit do?

22 Well, the Holy Spirit comforts and counsels, convicts and helps and provides and guides and warns and protects. That's what he does. He's God. Is this making sense? Okay. where does he take us that is his i like this altitude i had to throw that in a whole nother level a holy nother level he takes us so we go to a holy nother level we understand the aptitude of the Holy Spirit, who he is. He's God. He's our comforter, our counselor, our guide, our convictor. He's the water. His actions, he lives inside of my life and your life if you're a follower of Christ. If you're not, he's working right now to prepare you to receive the gospel of Jesus.

27 where he takes us a holy nether level. Where is he going to take you and me? Only he knows. Jesus said in John 15, five, I love this. I'm the vine, you're the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much what? Fruit, yes, that's right. Apart from me, you can do nothing. So where does he take us, this altitude? Well, production, that's the blank, production. That's the fruit of the Spirit. The Bible says the moment we become followers of Christ, first thing Jesus does is he places the person of the Holy Spirit inside of our lives, and the Holy Spirit is totally committed in your life and mine to produce supernatural fruit, fruit of the Spirit. So if I'm a part of a vine, the vine, Jesus, I am going to produce spiritual fruit. What is spiritual fruit? Galatians chapter 5. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

38 Now, ladies, if you're dating someone, I mean, you're single, right? Guys, if you're dating someone or talking to someone, this is a good test. This is free of charge. This is not even in my notes, okay? Right here. This is free. when you're with this person even texting them you should think okay is this potential candidate loving joyful just go through it peaceful goodness, self-control. If they say they're a believer, you're gonna see it in the fruit they produce.

33 I should produce, so should you, by the power of the Holy Spirit, organic produce, luscious fruit that we're giving away each and every day. we'd go to the office. We're giving out fruit.

55 We'd go to the grocery store. giving out fruit. Driving on the freeway, someone cuts us off, throw the fruit. So we produce either produce, like organic produce, plastic fruit. That's when I'm a hypocrite. Don't act like you're not a hypocrite. You are. Let's all say it together. It helps us. One, two, three, I'm a hypocrite. Say it again, I'm a hypocrite. Yeah, we all are. Hypocrites, someone that says one thing and does another. We've all done that. So we can produce plastic fruit. Have you ever seen some fruit and you're like, oh man, that looks awesome, and you go to grab it as plastic? Yeah. Then we need to understand that the fruit is not for self-consumption. You know, we're in the belt buckle of the Bible belt here, and a lot of our Bible belts are on the last hole.

59 We're spiritually obese, man. We're eating all the fruit ourselves. It's not for self-consumption. It's to share. And one of the songs I'm going to do on my children's album is called Share. I haven't sung this in a long time, but I love writing children's songs, and this is a song that I taught our kids growing up, and also I've taught this to our grandkids. Very complex.

30 Share, share, share, share, share, share, share. That's it. So the thing is, the thing is, moms and dads, when you sing this song, the thing your kid needs to share needs to be in their hands. See, share, share, share. Ed likes to share.

01 That'll change your life, man. Share, share, share. The Holy Spirit likes to share. You need to tell him or coerce him. He just does. We either say yes or no. I've got another visual. Is this fun? This is a glove. This is real leather. I don't know whose glove this is. They gave it to me, but I like the red trim. Isn't that cool?

48 So if I just keep this glove, you know, there, it's, I mean, it's made for work. But, okay, what if I encourage it? Come on, baby, you can do it. Do some work. Now read the Bible, okay, put your thumb here, and you can turn, that doesn't work.

16 I'll just shame. No, that doesn't work either. I know what, this glove needs community. If it had encouragement from other gloves, what would happen? Yeah, that'll do it, won't it? Well Nothing.

43 Well, there's only one way for this glove to work. It's to be filled. Filled. Our lives, your life and mine, they're just gloves.

04 We're made to work. We're made with great potential, but it's not going to happen in my life or yours until we're filled with the Holy Spirit of God. And there's no telling what kind of work and what kind of gifts and abilities that God is going to do through you. But if you don't get to this point, that's your life. I'm just gonna recreate, procreate, do deals and die. Or in Texas, maybe one day I'll buy a house on the lake or a ranch. Really, that, I mean, that's great to do that, but that's it? Really? I just wanna give my kids more than I had.

57 Okay, great, but that's it? this is it, being filled with the Holy Spirit of God. So production, that's the fruit of the Spirit. The presence, that's the gift of the Spirit. The reason we have gifts is to push the ball downfield. I'll say it again. It's to build the only thing Jesus built. It's the glove. I mean, what are some gifts? I mean, what are some abilities that we have? This is not an exhaustive list, the Bible says, but let me just throw some out. Prophecy, prophecy. The lion's share of prophecy is going to be encouraging one another.

55 It is cheering one another up. That's the lion's share of prophecy. So when I see something in your life or you see something in my life, speak it. That's prophecy. Another type of prophecy would be foretelling the future. And that's more of an exception. Some people have the gift of looking at a situation and saying, okay, I believe God is going to do one, two, three. Remember, though, if you hear someone say that, it needs to be 100% accurate. Also, anytime we prophesy in that vein, it needs to be under the authority of Scripture. Moreover, it needs to be taken through your personal board of directors who are spiritually mature, and they say, okay, yeah, that makes sense.

57 That's prophecy. exhortation, encouragement, miracles. I do not believe, and the Bible supports this, obviously, that miracles have ceased, that prophecy has ceased, that tongues have ceased, and I'll explain that in a second. Prophecy, exhortation, encouragement, miracles, faith. Some people have the gift of faith. I mean, they just have this faith. I'm just believing that God's going to do, boom. Help, service. That's me. That was a joke for my wife. Hey, guys, do you want to go to the next level of serving? Try this with your wife. It doesn't work, but it's funny.

49 Honey, I don't want to keep you from serving me. I know I could serve here, but I don't want to rob you of that blessing. I think that's really spiritually mature, don't you? Sometimes I can't help myself. I've just got to serve Again, that's a joke. Okay. Just laugh. We're in church. We should laugh. The joy of the Lord is my strength. Faith, help, service, teaching, preaching. I have the gift of speaking. God gave it to me. You can go out and tell me, hey, Ed, I really enjoyed that. Great. It's God. I mean, I know it's God. If I did not ask God every day to fill me with his Holy Spirit, I would begin to think, it's me. God's lucky to have me on his team.

50 What? He doesn't need you or me. He's God. discernment tongues we'll talk about tongues in a second discernment discernment is another gift I have healing some people have the gift of healing and we've had amazing supernatural things happen here at Fellowship Church over the years we've done healing services for over 30 years at Fellowship Church someone has a situation in their life, an illness will gather together the elders, anoint them with oil, and pray for healing. We've done that. Some people have been healed. Some haven't.

33 Giving, administration, mercy. How about giving? Some of you have the ability to make money. I don't know how. It's just a spiritual gift. The Holy Spirit just dropped that on you. I'm so happy you have a lot of money. Good, good for you, good for you. However, Holy Spirit, how can I leverage my resources to push the ball downfield? Take, for example, Derek Bonneau. Is Derek talented or what? I remember when Derek led worship, when he was like 14 years old here. I've never seen anyone jump around like Derek used to. And that was during the time, too, when behind-the-tongue singers were real popular.

32 Creed, you know, you ought to sing. Wish, wish, behind-the-tongue take you higher. It's pretty good, isn't it? Who else sang Behind the Tongue? Creed did.

55 Oh, Kurt Cobain, Behind the Tongue singer. Anyone else? It's very popular. You know, I know Scott Stapp. Name drop. Lead singer of Creed. Creed's popular. I know him. I know him. You don't. So. Anytime you drop names, you know, that's what you do. Hey, Bobby, I know Scott. You don't. So anyway.

23 Hey, I want to do a big shout out. Danny Moffred. He won, like, The Voice. Did you see him stand? Danny Moffred. Thank you. Danny. I mean, you were there with Reba and Snoop, and who else? It was Gwen Stefani and Michael Bublé. Listen, man, I was so, I mean, I'm proud of you anyway, but man, my heart was leaping. Lisa and I were watching that, and you like ripped it, man. Thank you. You got up there, wow, and they were like, whoa, and those chairs started spinning, man. Yeah. Thank you. How can we watch it? Some are like, I've never seen The Voice. How do we, can we watch it? Yeah, NBC and Peacock, yeah. The next episode I think is tomorrow. I'll be on it in a few more weeks.

16 I'm not allowed to tell you. No, no, don't tell, no, no. Let me tell you about this guy. He has the gift. If you don't believe it, just watch The Voice or watch him lead worship at our Dallas campus. Okay, he has the gift. Awesome. I have the gift of speaking. Is Danny better than me? Nope. Am I better than him? Nope. Someone else has the gift of service. Are they better than me? Nope. Am I better than them? Nope. It's from the Holy Spirit of God.

51 Well, Ed, how do I utilize my gifts? go to newcomer's class, that's one. Number two, just volunteer. Like, what do you like to do? Usually, here's what I believe. The Holy Spirit has these areas in our lives. We have this natural tendency toward things, you know? That's probably your spiritual gift. Now, sometimes, Holy Spirit just drops unique stuff on us. It's like, I had no idea I could do that. And you're like, wow, that's supernatural. that's totally supernatural but what if everybody in the church like my friend Terminal E what if everybody in the church said Lord, just use me. Lord, just use me. And again, that list is not exhausting.

44 You might be going, I don't see anything on there. Those are examples from Scripture that the Lord has given us. So we all have different types of gifts and abilities. Like I said last week, when I crushed my big toe with that 40-pound dumbbell a long time ago? I didn't think big toes mattered until I crushed my toe. Big toes matter. You might be a big toe in the body of Christ. You matter. I'll clap for that myself.

22 Because it's God. It's God. It's God. Have you ever heard someone speak in tongues before? Lift your hand. Lift your hand if you have. Don't be shy. Okay. A lot of people have. A lot of people have. Speaking in tongues is real. And I want to teach you about speaking in tongues and something else, prophecy. I just talked about prophecy a second ago, and we're going to get into that because we need to understand that. Because remember, when it comes to theology, what does the entire Bible say about speaking in tongues? What does the entire Bible say about preaching and teaching? What does the entire Bible say? Are you feeling me? But Danny, man, that was like, I got teary. Okay, anyway. Is Danny a handsome guy? Ladies, let me tell you again.

17 Let me tell you how dumb men are. When we look in the mirror, we think we look like him. I think I do. I think I look like Danny, but I don't. And you don't either. But ladies, that helps you to understand how delusional we are, okay? Let's talk about the gift of tongues. that's a good transition isn't it the gift of tongues is the supernatural ability by the Holy Spirit to speak in a language not previously known to the speaker tongues edifies the self let me stop there for a second Acts chapter 2 you have the the early church I mean the first church beginning you have this manifestation of the Holy Spirit. He had manifested himself, you know, from eternity past, but Jesus sent him.

16 He fell on the church. Tongues of fire, all sorts of things happened. And you know what's so funny? Sometimes people will say this to me. You know, I'm just looking for Acts chapter two church. Well, homie, tongues of fire ain't gonna drop again like that. So you're going to be searching a long time. Isn't that funny to you, Ann? You got it. A lot of people didn't. So the Holy Spirit fell, and people began to speak in tongues, in different languages. And there were people in J-Town, Jerusalem, and they came from different backgrounds, and they were like, I understand what they're saying.

58 And the people speaking didn't know what they were saying, but what they were saying communicated to those who spoke different languages. That's a part of speaking in tongues. If you understand that, just nod your head. Because I don't want to confuse anybody. Okay. There's another part of speaking in tongues that would be a prayer language. It would be a language that we don't understand. It's a gift. The Lord understands it. It's empowered by the Holy Spirit. Some people have that gift. We have family members that have that gift. There are people in this church who have the gift of tongues and speak in tongues. There are people who don't. I know great Christians who speak in tongues. I also know great Christians.

54 who don't speak in tongues. I know some people will say, you know, I think those gifts have ceased. I don't believe that. I don't think the Bible supports that. Others, like myself, would say, no, those gifts have not ceased. Maybe you do have a prayer language. Maybe you have been given the gift of speaking in tongues. Speaking in tongues, though, is not like the ultimate. For example, if I told you, yeah, I have a prayer language, you might think, well, man, Ed's here, I'm not. That's not true. That's not true. It's the same thing with teaching. Same thing with the gift of music. The same thing with the gift of helps and service and mercy. The Bible does say in 1 Corinthians 14, verses 1 through 4, follow the way of love.

50 And, you know, love trumps it all, you know, and the love of God and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy. This is Paul talking. Paul's like, yeah, I speak in tongues, but if you really want to desire something, desire prophecy. For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. See, it's my prayer language. Indeed, no one understands them. They utter mysteries by the Spirit. But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouragement, and comfort. Anyone who speaks in a tongue edifies themselves, but the one who prophesies edifies the church. So at Fellowship Church, we're like, you know, we're going to edify the church. We're going to build the church.

44 My friend, theologian Nathan Finocchio, told me this. We were talking about this subject and the gifts of the Spirit and speaking in tongues of prophecy. He said, if you look at verse 3 of 1 Corinthians 14, but the one who prophesies speaks to people by their strengthening, encouraging, and comfort. He says most of prophecy should be about building up, this is free information, stirring up and cheering up one another. At Fellowship Church during worship, you might hear someone next to you speaking in tongues. Good for them. You don't have to speak in tongues or maybe you don't. Great. It's not going to happen publicly because the Bible says we should do everything in an orderly fashion.

43 Publicly, when someone speaks in tongues, there must be an interpretation. And on top of that, only three are to speak in tongues. And obviously, in a setting like this and in a setting that is like this around the world, this would be the theological and practical way we do things. Prophecy would be the same. We have prophecy here at Fellowship. I'm prophesying right now. And maybe you feel as though God is impressing something on your heart and mind. Maybe you want to share that with someone or share that with a pastor. Awesome. Publicly, though, you know, we're not going to operate that way because everything should be done in a fitting and orderly manner. Does that make sense?

35 So we're open to all of the gifts, yet we practice them in a fitting and orderly fashion. But don't let someone pressure you into going, man, you've got to teach or you've got to, you know, whatever. You have to allow the Holy Spirit to do all that. Okay, tongues edifies itself. Build up, stir up, cheer up. Now let's talk about, oh, here's what Paul said, 1 Corinthians 14, 18 through 19, and Nathan and I were talking about this verse as well. Here's what Paul says. I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you. Okay, but in the church, I'd rather speak five intelligible words to instruct others than 10,000 words in a tongue. That's Paul.

27 So we're gonna kind of lean toward Paul concentrating on prophecy here at Fellowship Church. We believe in tongues, but that's kind of the context. Okay, the gift of prophecy. What is that? I've kind of touched on it. Let me get specific here, because when we're specific, we'll be, that's what I thought you said. The gift of prophecy is the Holy Spirit revealing something to a believer who then shares it to strengthen, encourage, or equip another believer. We should always, those of us who are followers of Christ, those of us who are filled with the Holy Spirit, we should walk in prophecy. Prophecy.

08 Prophecy edifies the church. Anyone who speaks in a tongue edifies themselves, but the one who prophesies edifies the church. 1 Corinthians 14, 4 through 5. Be very cautious, and listen to me, be very cautious to say, God told me, or to attend a church where the pastor throws out that phrase, God told me. That's very dangerous, and it can be highly manipulative, and it can be super spiritual. It can be I'm here and you're not. Because a typical pastor maybe in Dallas, Fort Worth, might say, you know, God told me, and you're out there going, dang, God didn't tell me anything.

08 This guy must have like a, whoa, that's crazy. just like Nathan Finocchio told me he goes that's not true God told you it's not true in the literal sense no give me a break does God impress things upon us no question it's great to say God has impressed upon me that as a church we need to build a building for students and families which we're going to do in the future. God has impressed it. God didn't tell me that. Or I could say, you know, God told me that you should give $2 million to Fellowship Church. And this dude's going like, whoa. I mean, you might have that or you might not. You see what I'm saying to you?

03 And it's like, oh, Ed knows what's going on. I mean, he has this direct line, this hot line to the throne. I don't, so I better. No, no, no, no. And prophecy, too, remember this, never supersedes Scripture. Never. and it must be checked off by people who are spiritually mature. So language, I'm going to read this, is of the utmost importance when it comes to describing how the Holy Spirit works and moves in our lives. So as opposed to, I'll say it again, saying God told me, I feel God has impressed upon me. because when pastors talk in certainty like that, it's not true. Nothing is certain. Certain?

56 Sounds sexy, just not true. So when you hear someone say that, just go, ah, that's not true. Number two, the Holy Spirit communicates with us by impressing thoughts and feelings upon us. How many times have you been impressed to pray for someone? How many times have you been impressed to start a conversation or to say, how are you doing? How many times have you been impressed to take a certain path or maybe go, no, I'm not going to go that way because I might trip on that ping pong ball, you know?

29 Number three, man, this is a long sermon. I love these long sermons. This might be a record for me here. We should always hedge our comments with comments like, I'm saying it again, I feel the Lord impressing upon me, or I feel the Lord leading me. Number four, we need to show humility in sharing what the Holy Spirit is trying to show us. That is so key. Whenever I play the God told me card, humility is out the door, man.

02 You see what I'm saying to you? So prophecy is not equal to Scripture and authority, and it must always be in alignment, in alignment, in alignment with the Bible, with the Bible. Okay, how do I respond to the Holy Spirit? I mean, we've heard these things and this is a very deep, heady, mysterious topic. I mean, the Holy Spirit of God, we need to be aware of his presence each and every day. Spirit of the living God, we worship. fall fresh on me every day. We're filled. We're filled. Number two. allow him holy spirit of god to lead listen to him follow him obviously if you want to say god spoke to me well if you read the bible aloud yeah god's speaking to you that was funny there you want god to speak to you in an honorable voice read the bible aloud That's funny.

15 Let me say that again. Yeah, we can put this on Instagram. Like, I'll do one of these. Lisa goes, oh, wow, that's what it's for. No, I just had that idea, Lisa. It's not for that, but. Do you wanna hear God speak to you in an audible voice? Read the Bible aloud. That'll be on my social media, okay. That was funny. I'm out of my mind today a little bit. I'm sorry. My doctor's given me some medicine. I hadn't taken it yet. So we're aware of his presence, allow him to lead, and then act in obedience. Act in obedience to the word of God. The key to the Christian life is being obedient. That's it. Obedience. so again I take you back to terminal e my friend hey Ed I I want to be used I mean you show me where and I'll say yes you know already we've made the contacts and already he is in a spot where he's going to be used?

34 My question is, how about you? Let's pray. Father, thank you for your precious Holy Spirit. And I pray, Lord, if there's someone here and you have never, ever invited Christ into your life, that you would make that decision right now because the Holy Spirit is preparing you. He's prepared you for this moment. Just simply say, Jesus, come into my life. I believe you lived a perfect life, died a sacrificial death and rose again. And right now, I ask you to come into my life to forgive me, to cleanse me, to change me. The moment you said that prayer, you were filled with the Holy Spirit of God. others of us here, we've allowed the ping pong balls, the sin to kind of get into us, but we need just a new feeling to get rid of the sin to be pure and holy vessels before you, Lord.

43 So Father, we thank you for this time and we thank you for the ministry of your Holy Spirit. In Christ's name.
