Psalms 102

1A prayer of one who is afflicted, when he grows faint and pours out his lament before the LORD. Hear my prayer, O LORD; let my cry for help come before You.A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed and pours out his complaint before Yahweh. Hear my prayer, Yahweh! Let my cry come to you.A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed, and poureth out his complaint before the Lord. Hear my prayer, O Lord, and let my cry come unto thee.A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed, and poureth out his complaint before Jehovah. Hear my prayer, O Jehovah, And let my cry come unto thee. 2Do not hide Your face from me in my day of distress. Incline Your ear to me; answer me quickly when I call.Don’t hide your face from me in the day of my distress. Turn your ear to me. Answer me quickly in the day when I call.Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.Hide not thy face from me in the day of my distress: Incline thine ear unto me; In the day when I call answer me speedily. 3For my days vanish like smoke, and my bones burn like glowing embers. For my days consume away like smoke. My bones are burned as a torch. For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth. For my days consume away like smoke, And my bones are burned as a firebrand. 4My heart is afflicted, and withered like grass; I even forget to eat my bread. My heart is blighted like grass, and withered, for I forget to eat my bread. My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread. My heart is smitten like grass, and withered; For I forget to eat my bread. 5Through my loud groaning my skin hangs on my bones.By reason of the voice of my groaning, my bones stick to my skin.By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.By reason of the voice of my groaning My bones cleave to my flesh. 6I am like a desert owl, like an owl among the ruins.I am like a pelican of the wilderness. I have become as an owl of the waste places.I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert.I am like a pelican of the wilderness; I am become as an owl of the waste places. 7I lie awake; I am like a lone bird on a housetop.I watch, and have become like a sparrow that is alone on the housetop.I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.I watch, and am become like a sparrow That is alone upon the house-top. 8All day long my enemies taunt me; they ridicule me and curse me.My enemies reproach me all day. Those who are mad at me use my name as a curse.Mine enemies reproach me all the day; and they that are mad against me are sworn against me.Mine enemies reproach me all the day; They that are mad against me do curse by me. 9For I have eaten ashes like bread and mixed my drink with tearsFor I have eaten ashes like bread, and mixed my drink with tears,For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping,For I have eaten ashes like bread, And mingled my drink with weeping, 10because of Your indignation and wrath, for You have picked me up and cast me aside.because of your indignation and your wrath; for you have taken me up and thrown me away.Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down.Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: For thou hast taken me up, and cast me away. 11My days are like lengthening shadows, and I wither away like grass. My days are like a long shadow. I have withered like grass. My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass. My days are like a shadow that declineth; And I am withered like grass. 12But You, O LORD, sit enthroned forever; Your renown endures to all generations. But you, Yahweh, will remain forever; your renown endures to all generations. But thou, O Lord, shalt endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations. But thou, O Jehovah, wilt abide for ever; And thy memorial name unto all generations. 13You will rise up and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show her favor—the appointed time has come. You will arise and have mercy on Zion, for it is time to have pity on her. Yes, the set time has come.Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.Thou wilt arise, and have mercy upon Zion; For it is time to have pity upon her, Yea, the set time is come. 14For Your servants delight in her stones and take pity on her dust. For your servants take pleasure in her stones, and have pity on her dust. For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof. For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, And have pity upon her dust. 15So the nations will fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth will fear Your glory. So the nations will fear Yahweh’s name, all the kings of the earth your glory. So the heathen shall fear the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth thy glory. So the nations shall fear the name of Jehovah, And all the kings of the earth thy glory. 16For the LORD will rebuild Zion; He has appeared in His glory. For Yahweh has built up Zion. He has appeared in his glory. When the Lord shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory. For Jehovah hath built up Zion; He hath appeared in his glory. 17He will turn toward the prayer of the destitute; He will not despise their prayer. He has responded to the prayer of the destitute, and has not despised their prayer. He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer. He hath regarded the prayer of the destitute, And hath not despised their prayer. 18Let this be written for the generation to come, so that a people not yet created may praise the LORD.This will be written for the generation to come. A people which will be created will praise Yah,This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the Lord. This shall be written for the generation to come; And a people which shall be created shall praise Jehovah. 19For He looked down from the heights of His sanctuary; the LORD gazed out from heaven to earthfor he has looked down from the height of his sanctuary. From heaven, Yahweh saw the earth,For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the Lord behold the earth; For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; From heaven did Jehovah behold the earth; 20to hear a prisoner’s groaning, to release those condemned to death,to hear the groans of the prisoner, to free those who are condemned to death,To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death; To hear the sighing of the prisoner; To loose those that are appointed to death; 21that they may proclaim the name of the LORD in Zion and praise Him in Jerusalem, that men may declare Yahweh’s name in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem,To declare the name of the Lord in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem; That men may declare the name of Jehovah in Zion, And his praise in Jerusalem; 22when peoples and kingdoms assemble to serve the LORD.when the peoples are gathered together, the kingdoms, to serve Yahweh. When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the Lord. When the peoples are gathered together, And the kingdoms, to serve Jehovah. 23He has broken my strength on the way; He has cut short my days.He weakened my strength along the course. He shortened my days.He weakened my strength in the way; he shortened my days.He weakened my strength in the way; He shortened my days. 24I say: “O my God, do not take me in the midst of my days! Your years go on through all generations.I said, “My God, don’t take me away in the middle of my days. Your years are throughout all generations.I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations.I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: Thy years are throughout all generations. 25In the beginning You laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands.Of old, you laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the work of your hands.Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.Of old didst thou lay the foundation of the earth; And the heavens are the work of thy hands. 26They will perish, but You remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing You will change them, and they will be passed on.They will perish, but you will endure. Yes, all of them will wear out like a garment. You will change them like a cloak, and they will be changed. They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:They shall perish, but thou shalt endure; Yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; As a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: 27But You remain the same, and Your years will never end.But you are the same. Your years will have no end.But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.But thou art the same, And thy years shall have no end. 28The children of Your servants will dwell securely, and their descendants will be established before You.”The children of your servants will continue. Their offspring will be established before you.”The children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before thee. The children of thy servants shall continue, And their seed shall be established before thee.
