… hey, how are you doing? She would always say, oh, I am too blessed to be stressed. And it's just awesome, and it's true. Too blessed to be stressed. Psalm 128 verses 1 and 2. blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his way. And this verse two would surprise some people. When you eat the labor of your hands, you shall be happy and it shall be well with you. The New Testament speaks of this simplicity of life, this quietness, just enjoying the life that God's given us. Now listen, enjoying life as a gift from God versus pursuing enjoyment as the goal of this life are two very different things. Jesus did say that in the pursuit of your life, you'll lose it. We walk in Century City olive shoot style all the way to Olive Garden. salad, breadsticks, and soup. Yes, this will be the blessing for the man who fears the Lord. You see what it keeps saying? Obeys God, fears God, walks in God's truths, saying, Lord, I'm going to lean in to character because I know I'll get your peace on my pillow. I'll get trust from you and trust from others. I'll get more relationships. By the way, there's nothing about God that's trying to make your world smaller. There's nothing about God that's trying to, you know, I just want you to live in a small little world with a small little soul. We're just gonna make everything smaller and easier. …

Cultivating Contentment in the Home | Part 1
Adrian Rogers · Scripture reading

Let's read them all. Blessed is everyone that feareth the Lord, that walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labor of thine hands. Happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee. Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house. Thy children, like olive plants, round about thy table. Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord. The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion. Thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life. Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children and peace upon Israel. Well, we're talking about contentment. What is contentment? May I give you a definition of contentment? Contentment, here it is, is an inner sufficiency that keeps us at peace in spite of outward circumstances. Now actually in the New Testament the word contentment has the idea of being self-contained. You remember Paul said when he was in that Philippian jail, I've learned in whatsoever state I am therewith to be content. …
